T-Dome & OC

Okies guys, we've done a bit of a reform ^^
We're going to close the t-dome and have some current event discussion allowed in OC. The reasons are mainly because every now and then a basher does turn up and hurt a lot of feelings given how personal some of the topic are, and discussions can become too heated and times. OC could do with having some more intelligent discussion as well ^^

In OC, the topics cannot contain content that is a little too mature for our younger audience, but less abuse-prone topics are allowed.
For example:
No: sexuality topics, religion topics, topics concerning heavy violence/abuse, topics containing heavy politics
Yes: topics on natural disasters and other current events not containing disallowed content

I hope everyone can understand that as smoothly as some debates did go, many others did result in hurtful comments which really don't need to be located on a younger audience forum. OC will be taking some of the less abuse-prone topics, so it should still be good :3

All of you should remember the T-Dome was kind of dead after we restarted it.
The idea of the T-Dome was a great idea (D was on the right track on trying to help PC a little by the idea of it) and if it wasn't for all the flamers and the fights going on in there then it might have worked out.
But like I said, flames and fights came out of the T-Dome. Everyone loved the T-Dome at first but once the fights and flames kicked in most everyone moved away from it. And in the end the forum kind of died.
So we think it's best to just to get rid of it and kind of move some of them topics into OC. Topics like the new Pope is ok. But if you have a topic about who's religion is better then it will be closed because it will start flames. OC isn't PC's new T-Dome, all of you should remember that.

But if you have a topic about who's religion is better then it will be closed because it will start flames.Don't get me wrong or anything, seeing as I like this idea, but are you trying to say that double-sided debates are no longer allowed, or what? I'm confused. @_@;

When T-Dome started... well, it was more commonly known as the Sex-Dome. That was one of the main reasons behind its original closure. Then, they restarted T-Dome, without allowing such mature discussions. I didn't really see a point to it after then, except that, combined with DCC, it sapped Other Chat dry of any real conversations.

But yeah, perhaps this will give OC the attention it so desperately needs.

It'll be nice to see OC get the activity it used to, but I have to admit I'll miss the T-Dome and our heated political discussions ^^;

I know what Claire ment about the religion thing..... O_o thats why I Never EVER whent into the T dome and OC.... (it's shamanism) :nods::nods: I'm very glad you guys took t-Dome out, with 13 and younger here it wasint a really good place to have, and other convos that people would have thare can still be talked about ^^; seped insted of in a area for all to view it could be threw Pms and E-mail.
I believe if t-Dome was left the way it was I wouldint be here for much longer o_o.....
So I'm sorry to all those that loved the heated convos. But man am I happy to see religion talk and politics gone _-_ I can finaly go anywhere here ^_^ YAY!. Just like home =3. Thanks Clarie and Staff!!!:runs of to explore the unexplore regions of PC.
