Who will join ash in the next series?

I think ash will hopefully have a new(ish) team of people on the next series

this is my evoluation:

Ash - Hero he will stay :P

May - Someone said she was really popular in japan maybe she will stay or she might repeat contests (the ones she lost)

Brock- They need a chef so he will probaly stay or ash could learn to cook XD

Max - as he has no pokemon i dont see much hope in him staying

Tracey - i doudt he would travel again as he loves working for professor oak so much

Misty - Her sisters are probaly back from there world tour by now so maybe she is free to travel again with some new pokemon!

I think who ever stays/rejoins/goes there will only be one female and probaly 2/3 guys

i'd like to see the old gang back together again ive got nothin against May but i just think misty should be with them since there all old friends also i think it would be cool if Ash's dad were to travel with them or at least we get to see him!

Why don't Ash, May, Max, and Brock have Misty and Tracey come along? Then they'll be the ultimate group.

Ash, Brock, May, Max, Misty, and Tracy is too many. A couple characters are going to get neglected (Brock, Tracy, Misty, and Max on an occasion).

Ash'll stay, and I think May will stay as well. Max... Maybe. I don't know why everyone is assuming he's going to get his first pokemon as soon as the D/P league starts.

I say Misty and Tracy are staying in Kanto where they belong. Maybe they'll get a couple episodes with them, but not as permanent cast members.

I'm going to laugh my head off if Misty doesn't return for the league.Doesn't look like she has yet...

It'll be dull if May and Max come with Ash to the next region. Once Misty joins Ash and Takeshi again, things will be nastalgic and classic and finally Pokemon will be healed of it's empty spaces again.
BTW, a tad bit off the subject but I predicted Misty's leaving before Johto in Japan began.

Ash of course is staying, May is going to stay because she has become one of the main characters, and she has joined pokemon advanced and so she is surely/likely to be in the next series, Peeps in japan love May so umm i think shes staying, max might not be in the next series cause he has no pokemon yet -and he's younger and might wanna go back home -since he looks up to his father ,and train there. Brock maybe should stay , cause after all he decided to come back , or he might drop out again and go back home or train somewhere else to be a breeder.. Misty might come back,, she can probably come, Besides in one of the advanced episodes she came back with togepi when may and max where there and they all met. Misty and May both seemed to like each other alot. So i think misty should come back.

Uh, no offense but your imagination is crossing the thin line between your opinion and the cannon.
Some people say May's getting ready to leave. Whether you like it or not May may leave (no pun intended).
The Pokemon anime doesn't revolve around May, it revolves around Ash so May doesn't need to stay because she just came at season six and may leave at the end of season eight unless something big comes up.

After all i dont see nothing wrong having Ash, Brock, Misty and May traveling together in the next series as it would be change from the current traveling party of 3 boys and one girl

Max still has the potential to actually become a Pokémon trainer. Brock hasn't done much of anything since Hoenn began, but he still serves the vital purpose of chef. And Misty coming back would serve no real purpose, except to please the rabid fanboys who believe Ash and Misty are destined to be together. Honestly, unless they introduce a new character, I don't see this group changing much - they seem to have found a decent balance of characters for this region.

Just because you conquer one event, doesn't mean you're the master. You have to do a lot more competitions than one IMO.

We don't know if contests are going to be in the next region, but if they are, May's probably going to do those.

I wish she would be too, she's a great girl but only time will tell. We have no idea if she'll stay. I'm not on anyone's side here, I'm just preparing for what may happen. Hopefully if she doesn't stay, she'll become a character like Kenji or Delilah, showing up now and then. But dont set your hopes up too high, I just dont want your heart to be broken. I like your positive attitude towards May's long lasting in the series but I just fear for you.
