Well, it all started in summer 2002. I was at the Poke-Amph tagboard. Poke-Amph was a new site. I had the name SurfinDarkRaichu. Then I changed it to ShininAquaRaichu. Then I came here later that year. I left the next summer for a while and came back. I forgot ShininAquaRaichu's password so I used Shinin. Then I left again and came back to the new PC, thinking that it was the old PC. I named myself Shinin4000. Last year I got it changed to Shinin by someone. Now I use Shinin, Shinin4000 or LordShinin when I sign up for stuff.

It all started in around... 2000. ^_^ I found myself hooked on Yahoo! Messenger's chatrooms. They were really good back then -- especially the Pokemon ones. Everyone RPed there and had multiple userids. I had upwards of around 20. Anyway, my favourite one quickly became lightning_the_baby_pichu (and I had the accompanying Pikachu and Raichu accounts, too ~_^). I used that one a lot. It was named Lightning since, well, that noun goes quite well for an electric-type Pokemon, don't you think? I had other ones like "Fiery_the_Charmander" and stuff like that, too. XP

Finally, once I sort of grew detached from YIM, I found The Pokemasters forum and decided to join. I joined under the name chibipichu, which was basically my alias everywhere at the time. Some months later... I think around August, my account was either hacked (or so I believed at the time) or else I was just really stupid and I forgot my password and couldn't retrieve it since someone else had the e-mail address to the account. o_O; Regardless, I decided to reregister, but I had to think of a new name. I thought back to my old usernames and figured I may as well reuse them since I loved them so much. I took Lightning and... I've grown so attached to it over the years that I use it everywhere under different variations. ^_^

Oh, and now it's virtually impossible for me to type "lighting." I just can't do it. XD;

I was playing my friend's Halo (the first one) game on his X-Box. He visits from far away every summer, and I was really happy he was there. My hightened awareness and my desire to make a cool but suitable name for my character on Halo soon lead me to make something off dragons.

Then I thought, "Dragons are believed to be a higher power, but the thought of dragons kinda goes off my 'religion'" so I changed DRAGON into D---ON. Then, I thought about the cool way words are strung together, and so I added to it- D-AE-ON. Then, I added more, because you can always have more- DSAE-ON. Taking the origional dragon name, I added an 'r' because r is a strong letter in a name- DSAERON. But Dsaeron ended with a high consanant sound. I wanted a name that flowed, so I switched the letters around- DSAERNO. My name, everywhere, everytime.

And it's pronounced "Dis-Air-No".
