Well, he was 10 years old at the start of the Indigo league.

It was mentioned When Ash had gone back to Viridian for the Earth Badge that it had been almost a year since the last time he was there so he was about 11.

The 3rd mini movie has the anniversary of Ash meeting Pikachu, obviously there can't have been that little time between arriving in Viridian and getting to Johto (Especially since he spent 2 months training after getting the Earth Badge) therefore he must be 12.

I'm guessing about a year passed from then until the end of the Johto League, making him 13 at the start of Advance Generation.

However, putting the animators' statements aside, and considering Satoshi is now at the end of the Houen League, I'd say he's fourteen.

Hmm...Ash's age is a tough question. My opinion, he's 13 or 14. Realizticly, if you follow the airing of the show, he's 16. My reasoning is like some others. He was 10 when he started on his journey. He went through the Indigo League in about a year or so, then Orange Islands and Johto took up about another year or so. Now Hoenn, he should be about 13 or 14. Thats just my guess. Maybe they will reveal his official age to us sooner or later..

Another topic which has been talked about alot. Myself, I don't really know how old Ash is, though at the beginning he was 10. Who knows, he might still be 10 now. In any case,in my opinion, his age dosen't hold much significance in the Anime... I hope that dosen't offend anybody ;)

You cannot count the "official" statements. Japan has never said anything about Satoshi's age. And the only company who has really said anything is Pokémon.com, claiming Ash will stay 10 and that Mickey Mouse is like 65 years old and hasn't aged a bit. XD

Ash has been aging and maturing (although... "Aromatherapy? Is that a new Pokémon?" ...XD). In Pokémon 3's Mini-movie...

That would be correct, you cannot judge that way. Where is the logic? After something like that *points at his quite* there HAS to be a sign of aging.

Since when was Ash's age "official"? Not even Nintendo of Japan/TV Tokyo/The Pokémon Company have made mentions of Satoshi's age.

We've all circled around in the same debate. However, my opinion stands that everybody ages, and Ash is no exception. Whoever said he was immortal? No one said that - it's only being used now as a debating point. And to turn it around, the ony people who actually said Ash won't age and that makes it "official" is Nintendo of America themselves. You really should see the opinion standing on Nintendo of Japan, who have said absolutely nothing about Satoshi's age since the first episode.

This really is a hard question. It doesnt seem like he has grown a bit. Ash must take at least one day to do most adventures because at the start it says stuff like: Another day.......

The first day, on the first episode, he had just turned 10. And that's when he met Pikachu.
Now, some aging MUST have occured, seeing as in this Mini movie a year has to have passed.

He just seems older... and his voice got a lot deeper, but I'm not sure if that's just the voice actress's voice changing or if she's doing it on purpose... along with the year things that other people have said, I also *think* Ash has gotten a little taller, too... or maybe that's just me ^^; (probably is ;D )

The debate is endless. Official wordng has not been said, even if NoA states Ash stays 10 like Mickey never ages. And NoA is NEVER official - they didn't produce the TV show, so how do they know?

And the debates keep going on. But I think this thread has reached the end of its debate period - peopel say the same things over and over again. It's not necessary, and therefore this thread will be closed.
