She randomly came up to me one day in class, while the teacher was out of the room, latched onto me, and... our lips touched. Lasted for about 2 seconds, then the teacher walked in, which was followed by him yelling at us, then everyone else laughing. x.x; But anyway...

Well, it was with my (now ex) boyfriend... Um, we were at the beach with a bunch of our friends celebrating the end of school and he just leaned over and kissed me. Quit nice for a first kiss actually... I was about 13/14 (just after we graduated 8th grade).

8th grade...

It was the promotion dance and it's also the last dance of the school. It was a great night for me. Well, it wasn't really the parties or dance that you might think. No one really spiked the drink or anything. I didn't like much of the music anyway. But my crush was there. And most of my friends knew about her. Yeah it was something that I really wanted to do. I wanted to dance with her, I guess.

I didn't notice one of my friends sneaking off. I was just casually talking, sipping soda with a straw from my cold glass of coke. But then my friend returned. I didn't notice my crush behind me and she tapped my shoulder. I turned around and she was beautiful that night. She was also smiling at me.

"Hey you girls out there!" The DJ yelled out in his microphone. "This is your time! Ask your guys out to the dance floor and let's slow dance!"

Perfect timing, I thought to myself when my crush asked me to dance. I stammered a bit but then I managed to stand up and just walk with her down the dance floor. It seems so perfect to me. I wrapped my arms around her while she wrapped her arms around my neck. Her head against my shoulder we just danced there with the slow music.

"So...I heard you're moving away..." she whispered to my ear.

My heart was pounding and I stammered yes in reply. I was scared that she might've been disturbed by my pounding heart. But she just smiled.

"I...I'll miss you..." I said to her, trying to smile, despite the fact that I might not see her anymore.

She giggled a bit. "Someone told me you had a crush on me..." she trailled off while looking over my shoulder. I turned around to see my friend who set me up. I sighed in frustration, knowing that he always liked to hook people up. "It's true, no?" she continued.

I nodded shyly, slightly blushing. I was amazed to see her blushing, too. I guess she felt a bit for me but I don't really know. She then continued.

"We won't be seeing each other, huh?"

I shook my head solemnly. "No... I...I don't believe so..."

We were silent for a while. I didn't know what she was thinking but I was unprepared for what happened next.

"Here's something to remember me by..." she moved forward and just kissed me on my lips. It was just a kiss. An innocent kiss. She just kissed my lips quickly and I just felt stunned.

For a moment there, I didn't even care about other couples kissing passionately. Nor do I care about the music anymore. As if we were just the two people on the dance floor, slow dancing. It was a first kiss. The flashing lights in the dimly lit hall were nothing more than apparations of bliss to me. And for the first time in my life, I didn't seem to want to let go of someone...

The result of her confession was a two big slaps from my eavesdropper sister and mom :/. After that day I know that no one should kiss for popularity :p.
