Ooh, an interesting question! :D I have taken art to GCSE level (up to the age of 16) but it wasn't really that advanced, and I didn't do any art on the computer - it all had to be hand-drawn, sculpted or painted :) I've been drawing on the computer for years now ^_^ So I guess it's a combination of lots of practise and the fact that I've always loved to draw! :D

As for taking requests, I don't take banner requests and such because I usually get swamped with them and find it very difficult to keep up with them...if people have ideas for pictures though, I can sometimes get inspired by that! ^_^

I just finished an essay today - it was one of the toughest essays I've ever had to do, so I'm SO glad it's over...XD I had to apply a critical theory to a poem, and it was impossible! Oh well XD I'll just have to see what I get!

I've been practising the Sugimori style, and I think I finally got something very close to it! :D I took your suggestion up, Blazey boy, and got this! ^_^ (also posted in my art thread, as usual!)

This is only the 2nd time I've drawn Roselia (the first was just a sketchy copy of the sprite to see what the R/S Pokémon looked like when they first came out), so it was great fun to draw! It's good to draw some of the lesser-drawn Pokémon - some I've had to draw so many times they get old fast!

I've been drawing Pokémon for about 4 years now ^_^ But I only started on the computer in around 2002/2003...before that it was all hand-drawn! :) I just love drawing them! I find the Pokémon themselves a lot more fun to draw than the trainers ^_^

Yeah, I made the Grovyle in my sig myself ^^ Grovyle's surprisingly hard to draw!
As for the Star Wars films, my fave of the original trilogy is probably Return of the Jedi...I don't know why I like it so much! I like the other two as well but I like this one even more ^_^
The new ones...I think the third one will probably be my fave (though I haven't seen it yet) since I'm not a big fan of the first two...

I think Grovyle's so hard to draw because it's difficult to get the neck looking right...it's rather a strange shape...and the body proportions are unusual ^_^ But I do enjoy drawing it! :D

NiNGi, I'm so glad you think the Grovyles look like the animé ones! :D The ones in the animé tend to look really different from Sugimori's Grovyle art, but I think I prefer the way they draw them in the cartoon ^_^

Awwww, you don't know unless you try! ^_^ I'd love to see what you guys come up with! :D Yeah, it takes a bit of practise to get a steady hand with the mouse, but the curve tool helps neaten up those lines a lot ^_^ It's a shame Paint doesn't have layers as it could really use them >_< But it's fun for sorta retro-style pics! :D
