omg Prom!!

For many juniors and seniors on PC, prom is coming up!

For me it's this saturday, and OMG! I GOT A DATE!

I've never been to a school dance before...sad as it sounds yes, cause my parents neva let me go

Me: Hey dad, can I go to the school dance with my awesome, 4.0 GPA christian friends who don't drink or smoke?

Dad: NOO sir! I dun want you at those kind of places!!

That's what he usually says, but he eased up a bit for prom...

Anyone got any advice for me? Or cheer me for good ;)!

I've danced at a school dance once. Just follow these simple rules and you'll be fine Dakota. ^^

1) Make sure you don't step on the girl's foot. That can usually lead into her leaving.
2) Be nice and get her a drink. Girls go for that.
3) Don't boast around or act silly while dancing. Some girls consider that mean and immature.
4) Wear something really nice like a black tuxedo.

I wish I had your parents. My parents forced me to go to my 8th grade prom. It sucked but I danced with girls. Good Luck D.

My prom is May 21... and my friends convinced me to skip my dance recital to go. Of course, I'll be dateless as always. *sigh* I hate dances anyway, but since it's prom I'll make an exception.

I've got no advice considering I'm not a dance person myself. I've only gone to three school dances while in high school. That's not including the one I was forced to go to on Saturday on a cruise-type thing. There were these guys there and my friends descrition was "they were like dogs at a fire hydrant" >< I guess I can see why parents don't want their kids going to high school dances. o_o;

I went to the Prom with a Junior it was cool just not the part were I spilled punch on a girls dress.

Even if I was in public school, I don't think I'd ever go to a prom. I just don't want to imagine myself dancing, even with my friends! O_o I've only done it when I was younger, at a sail-away party on a cruise ship. *shudders* It was the macarena...!!

To tell you all the truth, I didn't go to my prom when I was in high school. What was the reason?

I stayed home that night and watched the NASCAR All Star race!!! :D

I already said to myself I wasn't going and I shocked a lot of people that I watched the NASCAR race instead of going to my prom.

And to this day, I don't regret it. XD

I almost always go to my school dances, some turn out great, some turn out horrible. It all depends on how much effort you give to socialize and dance. Good luck with your proms everyone, I have a few years until I need to worry about it.

For our school prom we have to actully pay ($70 to be exact), so not many people go except the seniors at our school who are about to graduate. At the beginning of the year we have sort of a 'school social' kind of thing that a lot of people go to.

Although in public school, we had many school dances which was kinda fun... except the dancing part of course XD.

The advise I have is to just go, 'do your thing' and you'll be fine ^^.

Yeah I got the bottle from a friend of mine and I put it under my coat, friend of mie distracted people while I poured it in, everyone went crazy, becouse it was a middle school dance and most of them had never had alchohal. :)
And seriously do bring condom's if there is a chance you could get action, you dont want a kid I am assoming ( this is good advice to anyone who has a chance of going somewhere and scoring)

Well I was going to put x-lax and jam the doors but I though naahh I am not that cruel.
I would do that at my current school though.
I have not been to prom remeber Only bad after school dances. I just have info becouse I know alot of people in college and stuff.
You can get cheep Vodka for like 6$ if you look around.
