I'm not all to sure if this thread is allowed, but I feel I must discuss something. I have heard rumors at school today, about some gang members that will come to our school tomorrow and kill every Salvadoran or African American there. They will also murder all wearing a white T-shirt. Our school has a dress code, white shirts with navy blue pants. This makes the situation much worse. An act of racism this will be. They will bring weapons, according to the rumor. But my school is not the only school in Los Angeles with this rumor. I wonder why some of us hate each other for the color of our skin. I am very terrified do to this rumor. I am sorry if this thread is not allowed, but I wonder what happened to our world...

Also... People hate or dislike others because they're scared of the unknown. When Europeans first went to Africa they were terrified because of the colour of their skin. Why? They'd never seen it before. All in all, fear of the unknown.

Mwar… when it comes to gang members hellbent on mass murder, it'd take offense over defense to stop them… rumour or not, it is just wrong to even say that you're going to kill so many people. This doesn't make it right but the people who are supposedly going to kill everyone should be slaughtered before they get a chance.

Though,there was a rumor like this at my school last year as well, and nothing happened.
WEll it did, but nothing severely bad..
All they did was paint incredibly stupid symbols all over the school.

I'd ask my mom to stay home from school if I were you. If it's a joke and it doesn't happen, I would still want to stay home in fear of it happening. It's probably a safer thing to do.

i think that people are racist because of fear and ignorance. we've had many bomb threats and gang-related problems. and some "clique" problems. it's a shame that people can't just get past their differences, and just unite. the human race has got to be the most stupid creation ever made: if we could just get along, we'd get so much more accomplished than if we kill each other

And just so you're prepared in case something like that happens again, take Krav Maga, a really effective martial art for defence. I know they teach you ho to prevent gun attacks, knife attacks and such (other martial arts only teach unarmed combat, I think), so I think you should take it just to be prepared. Encourage yor friends to join too.
