View Full Version : RS Netbattle Team? -_-

Errr... not likely I'll be playing it even though it'll be out,
but for the spirit of everything, I'll still prepare a team for it as if i'm going to play NetbattleRS (coming out at the end of the month)
EV order- hp/attack/def/spd/spatt/spdef
Ninjask- careful/adamant @ lum berry -252/0/125/8/0/125 or 252/252/0/6/0/0
-swords dance
-protect
-baton pass
-silver wind/hyperbeam
Well... it's not like i'll be relying on it to attack so no point dumping EV there. Defenses and HP are added in order to hopefully survive one attack that's not rock elemental. The second set of EV distribution is if I'm using Hyperbeam. Most team lead-offs are usually other baton passers, annoyers or pokemon who uses a special attack as its only attack. So I see careful a bit more fitting instead of impish. Adamant is if i'm going with hyperbeam. You can't do much about annoyers except to use that lum berry to block off the toxic and thunderwave. Silver wind for classical. But i'm also thinking of hyperbeam to be original. Since Ninjask has the word "I BATON PASS" all over it, the opponent may pull out the pseudohazer asap to haze things away before thigns get nasty. So while I sword dance turn one and they switch for pseudohazer, perhaps I can use hyperbeam and pull off one free attack turn while they pretty much wasted a turn using roar or whirlwind. However hyperbeam still needs more consideration as I need to research who are the popular pseudohazers except for our beloved/much hated Skarmory.
Zangoose- adamant/jolly @ lum berry- 0/255/0/255/0/0
-brick break
-shadowball
-quick attack/HP rock/sword dance
-return
The one to receive the baton pass. Clearly its sole purpose is to sweep. Lum berry to block off thunderwave, as speed is always precious for a sweeper. I can use sword dance in case the chain failed, or quick attack to knock out the en-reversalers. I forgot my DV calculations now... but if HP Rock doesn't hinder my attack power too much then I'll go with that (to face Dancing Gyarados, Banded Dodrios and whatever flyer). Shadowball to wipe out trick banders before they can trick band, also it gives me a nice edge against stalling Dusclops/Claydol. Brick break will give me what it takes to take down the 3 most annoying normal type Pokemon- the slackers, the eggs (not you) and the sleepies. This furry lovable deadly creature plays quite an important role for this team.
Dusclops- bold @ leftovers- 62/0/224/0/0/224
-double team
-mean look
-curse
-rest
Trap if it's suitable (meaning not a vital threat to dusclops). Then double team away. Rest when hp is low. Finally use curse to finish the opponent off. Due to pressure they only have 5 rest (if they have rest at all) so that will speed things up a bit. If you setup, even pseudohazers can't stop you as it's affected by accuracy as well. The only possible threat is probably Ludicolo with its insane healing, or if Dusclops ran out of PP. Bold and DVs all suggest mega stalling work which it needs before double team is finish setting up.
Regice- modest @ leftovers- 100/0/154/0/252/154
-ice beam
-thunderbolt
-amnesia
-rest
Sp.attack blocker, not to mention so standard that no explanation will be needed. *sigh* If only Articuno is as strong as Regice ;_;
Walrein- quiet @ leftovers- 110/200/0/0/200/0
-yawn
-rest
-surf
-earthquake
I always wanted to use him. Pseudo-pseudohaze with yawn ^_^; The rest are obvious. However I would appreciate some comments on possible EV distribution. This is no 3x fire weakness team due to Thick Fat.
Blaziken- lonely @ lum berry- 0/252/0/252/6/0
-brick break
-earthquake
-overheat
-HP Bug
The other possible receiver of baton pass... complete sweep with overheat for scoring KOs. Rather risky to rely on overheat as the only fire attack in the entire team though, which I'm not too overjoyed about...

Hyperbeam on Ninjask? Im all all for suprise attacks (heh, HP water on Zapdos) but what id your opponent HP Rocks? This is why I like to factor things in, everything possible. Mybe Double Edge or something that doesn't waste a turn, but still does evil damage.
Im sticking with my GSC Netbattle team until I find a spot for my 3 openings.
Zapdos
Berry (whichever wakes you up)
Thunder - No, im not crazy. I had like 75 wins and 87 losses on GSC Netbattle because I used Thunderbolt like everyone else, but then I suprised everyone by using Thunder over Thunderbolt, it did way more damage. Plus 10 pp not five, still got Rest to back me up if it misses.
Drill Peck/Aerial Ace - Drill Peck will prob be used most often, but people out there are using Double Team ect so maybe Aerial Ace for constant, fast hits.
HP - Water/Ice/Grass - Nice suprise for anyone using Rockslide/Rock Tomb Mineral group Pokemon.
Rest - Prob the most used move, I can drag the battle on with a Electric type lol.more damage and if it missed I could always Rest. Dispite what everyone thinks it hits often for me, and unlike Hydro Pump/Fire Blast it has twice as much PP m,aking it not that bad to use. Plus theres nothing wrong with it, people use Cross Chop and Megahorn so why not Thunder?
Machamp
Leftovers
Cross Chop/Brick Brake - Either one is fine, but I fear Curselax/Drumlax so I like to OHKO them with Cross Chop.
Earthqauke - Nuff Said.
Rockslide - Nice damage on Flying types.
HP Bug - Nice OHKO on Alakazam, kills annoying power Grass types.
Tyranitar
Leftovers
Ancient Power/Rockslide/Rock Tomb - Pick one pick one XD!
Earthqauke - Nuff Said.
Roar - Get rid of Ninjask and Scizors, anything trying to power up.
HP - Fighting/Bug - Fighting is good for Blissey, Miltank, Snorlax ect. Bug makes up for its not-so-useful SP.Atk, it takes the place of Crunch.
Typhlosion
Leftovers
Earthqauke - Nuff Said
Flamethrower - Abovious
HP - Ice - Kills Ground/Rock types easy with its Speed, and gives Dragonite ect a nice suprise hit.
Thunderpunch - Water suprise
Starmie
Berry (which ever wakes you up)
Surf - Nuff said.
Thunderbolt - classic
Thunderwave - classic
Rest - Rest over Recover Mana said =\.
???
Empty space.

If only it does learn double edge I'll grab it already... too bad -_- Hyper beam is as strong as it can get.
HP is the only thing it's hard to factor in... HP Bug and HP Rock the hardest. All the other time most HP is used to counter their weaknesses. HP Water/Ice on Magneton should be expected by everyone now. HP Ground is also a popular pick for Dodrio, etc... but HP Rock always seem to be somewhat inconsistent in terms of what pokemon usually has it.

Ninjask: definately Silver Wind over Hyper beam, if only to get the STAB and the slim chance to KO.
Dusclops: Good luck pulling it off. With all the dancers and minders around, Dusclops could be OHKO'd pretty easily without WOW. IMHO, use WOW with rest and Night Shade, and opt for either attract or Confuse Ray. (Leftovers, + spD - spA personality, 252, and distribute the remaining 2 amongst defenses)
Rejice: standard has toxic over amnesia :p

Well i am no expert on this and i am sure my input would be useless but what about dig on Ninjask as i mean the extra time for speed boosts and the fact that due to his flying ability he would be immune to any earthquakes........
is Articuno weaker than regice in terms of SpAtt???I know his defences are lower.

*thinks that Kairi should remain ignorant about RSNetbattle or another year or so or else Frosty has no chance to defeat half of her team x_x*

*wonders if RSNetbattle has replay functions like warcraft3 to copy good player playing style, viewing battles and taking notes at the same time and etc...*

I haven’t used it, and I think the RS part of NB broke it. Ask Mana, not sure though. x_x;

Edit:For shame, it can learn Dig... For Shame... It truly is invincible... *runs to catch a Nincada*

As far as I know, NBadvanced will be betatesting soon (soon, no date :-x), and since the battle code is reworked completely by the dev crew, replays will still be there, but the old replays right now would not be able to work with them =/
Apparently 1 funtion that's changed is log saving, where if you save a log, you would not be able to see the opponent's team anymore. (good :D)
And I hardly believe I can beat either of you at RS >.> GSC, I can make a good try, maybe.

Well if they have a rock move u are bound to be hit by it anyway and if it is an actual rock pokemon they are using then hyper beam wouldn't do much and at least dig would deal double the damage......and 4 times the damage in the case of Aggron [i think], so u wouldn't faint in vain......at least that is how i see it ^_^.

If your Zapdos has 361 (or was it 367) HP, then it has HP water, so it's no surprise either way ;x

actually, it'd be both, since NB originally used the Stadium display (hence the HP), but you can change it to % too, I think.

I don’t see many pseudo hazing Zapdos on NB really…
ML, I thought it was default %, a rule that can be turned on for exact #?

I don’t know, the common pseudo-hazers like Skarmory aren’t going to be scared of Hyper Beam, plus they get that free turn. Skarmory could enjoy laying some Spikes for instance.

Zangoose looks okay, I’d go HP rock though. With that distribution, you aren’t going to survive Swords Dance with enough HP to do anything worthwhile after. A mention of me, aww. ^_^

Like Mana said, it’d be hard to set up without having them set up something much worse. Plus, there’s always the possibility of something like Dodrio, with one-turn Rest and Haze. If this gets boxed, it won’t be able to do much.

You’re right to worry about that being your only fire, especially with no defenses or HP allocated. All the Spikers are weak to fire in the 202, except…one? Can’t remember. Most of the Aroma Therapy is also weak to fire, it’s pretty important and yet quite lacking in 202.
