Pokemon Emerald Version Questions (3)

My first Q: We've played Ruby and Sapphire several times each and never messed with the "Trendy Sayings" thing. We just bought Emerald the other day and I'm wondering, "Does it matter what you put in for the trendy saying?" If so, "What should we put?"

The next question is: In Petalburg City, a guy asks about "My Profile"? Huh? What's that all about?

The last question is about the guy who's trying to make his baby laugh. I've tried every combo of words I can think of and the baby doesn't smile. I even called it "Stinky Baby" hehe.

These are very good questions.
1. No, it does not matter what your trendy saying is. When you change your trendy saying the location of the Pokemon Feebas changes on route 119.
2. In Petalburg City the man standing by the PC in the Pokemon Center will let you change your profile. This will be on you trainer card when people look at it. Make it as good as you can.
3. I do not know where this man trying to make his baby laugh is located. I am sure if you could tell me I could help you.

Well that man and that baby gives you special backrounds for your PC if you get it right but I have no idea what it is.

PokemonMSTR... Right now, I can't remember the name of the city but it is right below the DEVON corp. Go upstairs and you'll meet his wife who talks about "Food menu ideas" then there's a guy huddled over a baby surrounded by pokedolls.. ya can't miss it.

Why does an old guy like pokemon?

Ok, I'm 40 years old... I pay attention to EVERYthing in video games. The thing/s I like about Pokemon is that you can't guess what's coming next like our boring (ZZzzzzZZZzzz) American primetime TV shows nowadays "especially those wierd fake-out reality shows...yeah right...reality???. Besides, Pokemon has better music than 99% of the new music of the 2000s (LOL) Hmm, Pokemon 2006 meets ACDC! :)

1)The phrase just determines where Feebas will be.

2)It's just for your trainer card.Nothing too big.

3)Ok umm Serebii says that there is no combo for the English version yet.But for the Jap version there was a special site where you write in your id and they would give you a phase to write down.

I hope i cleared a few things up for you there.

Happy Dude, I hope you don't mind me clarifying somthing you said. The Trendy Phrase actually determines if the Feebas tiles have been shuffled. They start in random spots, but will stay the same until the phrase is changed. Once the phrase is changed, the tiles are reshuffled much like a deck. You would than have to find the tiles again.

Also, it's beleived by several people that the Rustboro Sick Girl's background generator was pretty much disabled for the US version. I don't know if that's true, but I hope not. The US version games have already been cheated out of enough features.

1. The phrase, as statwed cahnged the tiles where feebas are. Also the first time you talk to te guy, he will take whatever u put, later its random if he accepts your idea.
2. Why does everyone say nothing big??? This is deifferent in games. In ruby and sapphire, u can type "MYSTERY EVENT IS EXCITING" and then you get MYSTERY EVENT on your menu when u start the game. This is so u can link up with another gameboy and use the e-reader to get a trainer in the man's house in mossdeep. In Emerald, it xdoes not affect anything. This maybe was taken ouit of the game too, because I forgot where ,but there was another house where I saw a back door that was blocked by trees. If any1 knows where this house is, tell me.
3. The PC thing, I havent tried, but my friend couldn't get it either. It may have been taken out of the game because nintendo felt it was pointless, but why would they leave the guy there? Also, it might just be really hard to gte it right, like the popular phrase guy. he almost ever takes your phrase.

Yhea the trendy saying does. It changes the location of Feebas on Route 119

3. to get mystery gift in emerald you have to go to a mart and type in the notepad near the cashier "link together with all"
