I dunno if i'm in the right place to ask this, so correct me if i'm wrong..
i've searched across the net for a decent pokemon forum so...
here we go anyway....

My sister and her boyfriend (my best friend, but lets not get into that) both own pokemon fire red.. right? And i've always been the top pokemon player around here...
I CANNOT LOSE!

Anyway, she seems to have put together a team pretty fast! :\
I don't know what it consists of but i know she has a raichu around level 78 and mines only 75 :\
yeah... so i'm currently trying to develop a team that i'll win with!

So i'll give you my current lineup. (it's not very good at the moment cause i've been neglecting my gameboy for quite some time)

UMBREON lv 69 bless colloseum

Faint Attack
Moon Light
Confuse Ray
Hyper Beam <- I SOOOO regret giving him that move! Any tips on what to do with that?

Mewtwo lv 100 <- omg i know its cheesy but i dont care im using it!

Amnesia <- wtf? where's safeguard go?
Thunder <- hahaha kiss that tyranitar... :\

Raichu lv 77 (trained it up 2 more levels since i wrote that up there^)

I'll train pokemon up from eggs if i have to...
i've grown attatched to these 4 pokemon though... I dont want to drop them

train them up to lv 100 ya will definately win man! that's what i did to my pkm i smack glendy(my friend) in pkm battle.Now ya will still have those pkm in your team but add tyranitar and the legendary doggy ya have!! now i got no disagreement with umbeon (its not in my pkm team any way i've got 90 something pkm in 3 boxes in the game's P.C) so i won't talk about umbeon man. now for mewtwo if yar mewtwo got lower def teach it barrier by 2 tiny or 1 big mushroom. if yar mewtwo got lower sp.def teach it amnsia that ya already got it. so moves for mewtwo are:

Since you have a Thunderdance combo Thunderbolt is useless. But you can replace it with Counter maybe?

Well i use thunderbolt to take out pokemon that are low on HP etc... and if i just send raichu out or whatever..."EXAMPLE: Raichu vs Gyrados that knows earthquake!"

Yes, I'm sure a Chikorita at that level will do you a world of good against an army of 60+

Uh if you want to own her pokemon use pokemon that will be affective against her try to find out her team and make sure your pokemon are in good levels.

I like Umbreon best ^^ but I don't think one is particularly stronger than the other...
Just speaking from an only-possibly-slightly-above-noob's perspective, I'd say that Blastose needs some help. Geh, I hate Hydrocannon. Gets me killed every time, I don't know why I got duped into teaching him that...

I'll put my two penny worth in as well...

If you want an electric attack that's accurate, use Shockwave: it's the electric version of Swift. I'm surprised it hasn't been suggested before. If you're not happy with the PP of this move, use PP up or PP max to increase it's PP.

For Raichu, try and find a good Ground type, and give it ground moves, or, in a pinch, teach Dig or Earthquake to a compatible pokemon. I heartily agree with the comment of weaseling your sister's team line up out of her, then training a team designed to counter hers

Give Umbreon some dark type moves, too: if your sister has any Psychic types, Umbreon will be able to cream them with something like Crunch or Thief.

Does your pokemon colleseum give you access to Hoenn's pokemon, then? If so, trade over a few double types: and teach them a mix of moves from the two. Dual types can be quite vulnerablei.e. Jynx, psychic/ ice ( bake with fire) Exeggcutor, psychic/ grass ( Ice, fire, bug moves)

It's just a case of spying on your sister, then drawing on type alignments to get the best team. I'll leave moves to others: I don't get that much time to play, so haven't gone into comparing moves

I suggest you get a very strong Ground type against your sister's Raichu.

And also if your sister has ay Pyschic types, I suggest using a dark type attack than Faint attack

Keep training your tough Pokemon also to Lv 100

I suggest these should do some tricks:

Umbreon:
Lv Needed. 80+ (mine is on Lv 100)
Attacks: Bite , Moonlight, Faint Attack, and (This last one is up to you and should NOT be Hyper Beam)

Mewtwo
Lv Needed. 80+
Attacks: Recover, Pyschic,Swift(if it can), and Pysbeam

Blastoise:
Lv Needed. Lv 80+ (mine is on Lv. 100)
Attacks: (sigh) Hydro Cannon (perfectly used when HP is lower than Blastoise HP), Hydro Pump,Surf, and Dive (maybe)

Raichu:
Lv. Needed. Lv 80+
Attacks: Thunder, Shockwave, Body Slam, and Thunder Wave

Typholsion:
Lv. Needed. Lv 80+
Attacks: Flamethrower, Flame Wheel, Dig (if it can), and Body Slam

Espeon:
Lv Needed. Lv 80+
Attacks: Pyschic, Swift, Pysbeam, and (the last one is up to you)

Articuno:
Lv Needed. Lv 80+
Attacks: Ice Beam, Icy Wind, Sheer Cold (if it can), Fly

Feraligatr:
Lv Needed. Lv 80+
Attacks: Hydro Pump, Dive, Surf, Waterfall

I think you should be needing a Ground type just in case .

Try to get Emerald and breed a male pikachu and a female pikachu attach a Light Ball to either of them and you have Pichu with a new powerful electric Move Volt Tackle raise that pichu to a pikachu raise more and evolve it to Raichu and raise it to level 100. Make sure you give it protein, carbos, etc. Now you have a stronger Raichu then your sister. You could surprised her that your Raichu knows Volt Tackle and her's Doesn't.
