Try saving some of them as .PNGs. They are faster to load, and the sprite quality is better. Aside from that, you did well for a first time. For a first time, I'd rate your beginning sprites 9.5/10.

Let's see now... 9/10, 7.5/10, 5/10 because you forgot to the outlining on Bagon's body, and 9/10. Overall you're improving with your spriting. But don't try too many three way fusions. They tend to look very odd. ^^;
