This is a thread for people who wish to post individual screens and ideas and want to get them rated by other members. If a member does not post both an in game screen and a plot as stated in the rules, their post will be copied into this thread. So, well show us what you've got!

I would rate it a 6.5, mainly because it is very dull and ordinary, and also because the quality of your pic is kinda grainy. The mapping is fair, though.

Neo-Genesis, when taking screenshots click the 'Zoom Map' button (the Magnifying Glass)
this will take away all the lines all over your screeny.

I like it but I find that there is too much space under the SP bar. And the mapping is quite good(you could put some flowers/plants[not trees])

Your mapping skills ROCKS! The only thing which destroys your map is those flowers, they look so out of place, shouldn't they need to blend with the surroundings?

I'm guesing your talking about the wierd coloured flowers.. yeah I have no idea why nintendo made them that colour.. they suck.. I used them to fill it in but hey I was testing out my skills lol. well thanks

Heh, I spent about half an hour planning out how to start this thread off with rules etc and then I find out that you went and made it instead.

i wasn't finished with the menu, because i couldn't get the exp bar to work.
it does work now.
the quest window can be removed, but you'll see black space.

i've added the exp + bar now.
and i have set the message window over the quest window.
so, you'll first see the quest window, but if you get a message,
the message will be on top of the quest window.
mapping isn't really my best skill (with standart RTP)
i made it up in 2 minutes or something.

You're getting the lines because you're taking the screens while you're on the Event layer. Click on the Magnifying Glass icon just above the tiles on the left hand side of the screen to get the map looking normal.

hmmm...well..since this is also a story showcase..i guess ill be the first to post a story. This is for my upcoming game, Pokemon Destiny.
In the Beginning, there was mew and only mew. But Mew...and perhaps another unknown godly force created the 3 elemental pokemon of Fire, Water, and Nature(grass). These Pokemon evolved over time bonding with the elemnents of the earth forming new types of pokemon. In recent times it was shown that these 3 pokemon did not die out, but were placed in "suspended animation". As you are about to start on your own pokemon adventure, you, your rival and proferesser kent,son of professer oak are inturrupted by a man from team alpha who as found and stolten one of the ancient pokemon. He retreated after being defeated by another man who would not divulge his identity. You and your rival each take one of the remaining ancient pokemon and set off on your own adventure. But before defeating the elite four, you must find alpha...and divulge the secret of the ancients...
Side Note: Propechy Says that gathering all of the ancients together in thier final forms will bring the trainer and pokemon ultimate power.
My Game hasnt actully been started yet, but it will soon and i wanted to see how my story was.

well, it won't be a perfect battle.
and i don't think i'm gonna use djinn's.
only "slash with weapon",
and for items only potion.
since sprites are hard to rip

Heres a storyline for a game i have been planning.
The High Mages created a land known as Arcadia.This was a peaceful land.There were no monsters in most of Arcadia.There were 35 regions in Arcadia.Theres Elucate, region of the humans, Flamikon, region of the elfs, and Gajion, region of the dwarfs.A evil force in Arcadia created Dark Mana able to asorb regular mana.The High Mages countered this by creating Light Mana, able to asorb Dark Mana.
A war started all over Arcadia because of this.The evil force used Dark Mana to their advantage and created monsters with it.The Light Mana made the Tower of Light.The tower was then source of all Light Mana.Arcadia was winning but then, a being took control of the evil force and gained the upper hand.
Even though Arcadia was losing, they didn't give up.The High Mages used all their might to summon the ultimate beast.Arcadia won the war.Now the evil force is back and now Leon Hijon, one of the Arcadia Grand Soldiers, was camping in Elucate forest when he recived a measage from the 6th mage.Leon was told to go to Elucate Mines and save one of the High Mages.
And then Leon set off on his journey....

Very nice mapping Superiority! The tops of the small trees are kinda weird :D and I think you added a tad bit too many flowers.

I'm still looking for the best thing to use for my game, but I have a good foundation.
The game is still untitled. The region is Minn. No I didn't just make up something lame off the top of my head. This region is actually based off of a real geography. Where? Not telling.
I dream of having the other three regions in the game too. When your character defeats all four championships, he/she will be allowed to go after the "MASTER" title; however, if you lose you lose all your previous titles. That means that you'll have to go back and beat the champions of the four regions again.
All of the official Pokémon will be catchable in one way or another. I plan to be very tricky with the rare Pokémon.
As for new Pokémon, I'm not sure. As you can see, the Minn region is not as abundant with water as the former games. That's because Minn is located on a continent, not an island. It will be rich with grass and bug Pokémon, so I plan on having a few new of those type.

You start in the middle town. The game will require a lot of walking around. I plan on making all the ares huge. The routes will be much longer then previously encountered in another game. As you can see there are a lot of towns/cities too.

I will post my story since my screens are going to waste (I'm converting my game)
You live in Kanto.
When you are 6 years old, you see a pokemon battle on TV, Bruno VS Cooltrainer.
After that battle you are inspired to become a pokemon master. Your best friend July or Max depending on your gender, go out to complete your pokedex and become pokemon masters from Oaks Lab. You choose between Balbasaur, Charlamander, and Squirtle. When you defeat the E4 in Kanto, you move to Dewford Island.
You have to go to Slateport to go to Johto (First you battle Brawly) You arrive in Olivine where TR is causing trouble in the lighthouse. Defeat them and get the rail pass to go from Goldenrod, to Saffron, to Littleroot. From Olivine you go on a hot air balloon ride to New Bark town. Then you go through Johto, once you defeat the E4 in a new town (The water in Newbark is blocked off)
You can go to Houen and Challenge the gym leaders there. Once you finish the E4 there, you go to the Ale region.
Defeat the 10 gym leaders and go to Ale Town to face the Elite 4.
Then you take a trip to "Pokemon Paridise" But is actually Orre. There are no gym leaders but you must snag and purify all 68 (yes 68) pokemon. Then the subway in The Under can take you to goldenrod, saffron, etc.
Then you move to the Actur Region to catch new pokemon for your pokedex. While defeating the gym leaders there, TR, TA, TAk, TM, all join together and become TI. You fight them in the Yulo region while investigating a asteroid that fell. The Asteroid didn't burn up in the Earth's atmosphere. The yulo region holds many new pokemon and Gyms.
You hear about a ticket to go to Juno a region by becoming 1st in the tornament at Camp Belini (in Orre). Once you win you go to Juno, it's not big, but you can find many rare pokemon here (Tropius) At the end there is a cave, in the cave you find more rare pokemon(Kabuto) At the end you see Groudon and it uses Eruption. You white out to Jero (town in Juno)
The Eruption attack created an island named Volcanic Isle. You can go over there. There is no towns but a cave and a forest. There is one place where humans are but they live in tiny huts.
Once you catch 200 pokemon you get a phone call that the ferry now supports Altomare (5th movie) This is where you catch Latios and Latias. You catch water and grass pokemon only.
Then when you have 225 pokemon in your pokedex get a call to come home, at home you meet Scott who takes you to the Battle Frontier. At the frontier you can surf to a tiny island to get through the Battle Maze.
When you get 270 pokemon in your pokedex, you get a call saying the ferry now runs in the Sevvi Islands. You will now have 10 islands.
Once you get 315 pokemon, you get a call that the ferry now runs to Orange Islands. You battle with the gym leaders now. You surf to the different islands exept the one Drake is on (Orange Champ) That is where the ferry goes to get back to mainland. When you defeat Drake you get a ticket to go to the serebii forest.
The Serebii Forest has Celibii there and leads to the Ilex Forest.
Once you get 330 pokemon you get a call the ferry goes to Nuloc, at the last town (With E4) you see a river and more land.
Across the river is pure water Valley (Mewtwo returns area) You'll find many bugs, and water pokemon. There is a person who is selling Fresh Water. When Nuloc's E4 is defeated, you can go to the East of Nuloc and find a bridge made of Blockies.
The bridge leads into La Rousse City.
When you get 360 pokemon you get a call the ferry now runs to Lilu. Once you defeated 5 gym leaders you can go West and see Rota (8th movie area)
There is a cave which leads into a valley where you battle Rukario.
Once you get 395 pokemon you get a call to come home. At home you meet Harison who finished pokeland. You can now go there. Pokeland has Pokemon park, Pokemon Festival, and in the center a training gym.
When you have 420 pokemon you get a call that you can go to New Island. It has an abandoned building.
When you have 445 pokemon you can go to Voup. This place is filled with wild pokemon.
When you have 480 pokemon the ferry service calls and you can go to Mika. The southern part likes Lunatone. The Northern part likes Solrock. There are 2 caves. One has moon pokemon and the other has sun pokemon. In the Exact middle of the region is a river.
When you have caught 500 pokemon you get a call to go to Elm's Lab. He lets you get a Johto starter. When you walk outside you get a call to go to Prof. Birch's lab. He lets you choose one of the starters.
When you have 502 pokemon, you get a call from Prof. Elm, a new island has been discovered. It is on the edge of the map. They called it World's Edge Island (They still thought the world was flat) They ferry takes you there and you can battle Mew.
When you have 505 pokemon, you get a call that the ferry now runs too Falo where the Medusa pond is. When you catch Medusa, show it to Prof. Birch and he gives you a choice of Veged Fossil or the Vore Fossil if you give him the Blood Scale attached. Go to Rustboro to revive your fossil.
This game will have at least 25 regions with over 600 pokemon.
This game will be finished with fresh demermination right out of the box[/sacasm] The game will take a while to be finished (2010) This story has been paragraphed

Firemaker, do everyone a favor and use paragraphs! No one is going to read that mess you call a post.
Kyle, looks good, but maybe you should use wood instead of that black line stuff. I'm guessing that's supposed to be steal. Realistically, they would use wood for a building like that. Steel is only used for skyscrapers.

@Superiority: 8/10. First screenshot is fine, but i think your last screen is too dark of a screentone.

I have an idea for a hack so here it is, it takes place 2-5 years after pokemon colosseum and R/S. I'm not sure which region yet Hoen or kanto? You work for team rocket, and go up in rank(s) as you progress through the game. You start out with a larvitar (offspring from the tyranitar in pokemon colosseum) and you get it from Ein. Ein? Yes, no other than Ein from pokemon colosseum, after team Cifer fell apart he joined team rocket. Also there are new "Snag balls" that let you steal other trainers pokemon (an Ein invention). And after you run an errand for Ein (get some parts) he restores the shadow pkmn making machine. So what do you guys think?

My Movie on Rm2k3 is going to be called Pokemon: Morning Sun.
It's a movie of Red, Green, and Blue after they move from Kanto, it's more of a short series. More Info later.
I'm trying to construct large cities on Rm2k3.
After moving from Kanto you moved to Crystalia. Crystalia is the region WEST of Johto. It's capital is Crystalia City, a metropolis.
In Crystalia Citie, I'm trying to make it the biggest Pokemon City EVER travelled, without making it boring or stupid.
So far, I have 2 ends of the City, out of 5 or 6.
Those are two maps joined together, but my maps are far from complete and aren't as good as I want them to be.

I have no idea what you mean by that. I think the screens look good. Also, I skimmed through your story idea, Firemaker, and it sounds way too much like the Pokémon anime.
The anime. The anime did not go through Orre, Ale, Mika, and Voup. It has Anime locations because I want lots of places in this game. The game should never end. People will never be bored. But in the Anime you cannot catch Rukario, Mew, or any other legandary. In the anime they catch a pokemon about every 20 episodes. You can catch 20 pokemon in 1 day. There are more pokemon in this game. I have no clue why my story is like the anime

Your names aren't that great either... It's sounds like you just drank a lot of soda and typed out the crazy sounds you made from the excess energy. Think out the names you give to regions and people. They should actually mean something.
Also, the rarest Pokémon should be hidden. Mew, Mewtwo, and Celebi are the rarest. Mew because its just elusive. Mewtwo because it dislikes humans. Celebi because it doesn't exist in one time. These Pokémon should be difficult to not only catch but encounter.

Well, I guess I should post my idea here too. Pokemon: Neo Destiny, and this time, I have finally come up with what I think would be a workable system for the game.
Story:
An ancient and powerful Pokemon, Asmodia, was once sealed away in the Hoenn Region. However, a new group, Team Dark, has found a way to break the seal and are now using Asmodia in an all-out attempt at global conquest.
You play the role of a relatively new Pokemon Trainer, Chezni who's not quite what he seems. During the course of the game, you'll travel through the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Orre, and the new Zanta Regions in search of the only force powerful enough to stand up to Asmodia, namely the powerful Dragon, Atomos. Along the way, you'll meet characters from the series and even some new characters (that I made up).
I plan on using each and every Pokemon from all three Editions, as well as a few new ones. However, there's a twist in this all. I'm not using the typical Pokemon Battle Engine, at least, not in the sense that it's been used before. The Battle Engine of Neo Destiny will implement a Tactics System, where you move your Pokemon and Trainers (Yeah, you heard me!) on a strategic map. It's turn-based, where you move your forces, then the enemy moves theirs, and so on and so forth.
Attacking is going to be dealt with using a seperate screen, which will look familiar to anyone who's played Pokemon before. Also, team-attacks, a la Disgaea are forseeable in the future, as well as possibly using terrain to affect certain things in the battle. For instance, Grass Pokemon would have an advantage in a grassy plain, where as Bug Pokemon are more adept to forest battles.
Here's a mock-run down of the Tactics Engine. We'll say you have two Trainers here. Each Trainer can hold up to 6 Pokemon at a time. First, you have to call out the Pokemon you have, so you do that, calling out as many as you want to on your turn. Once you're happy, you move your characters around. If you're close enough to the enemy, you can attack or use a Special Attack. After this, you end your turn, and it's the opponent's turn to go.
Now it's still largely in the works and I don't foresee a demo coming out by next week, but I've seen this type of system work in the past, and I think this would be the best chance we'd ever have to see EVERY Pokemon in a single game. When I get some of the front work done, I'll post a screen of the game, but right now I'll let you tell me what you think of the idea. I will be returning to this topic at some point to update you on my progress.

I'm working on a Mario fan-game called "Great Coffee Adventure." I've been working hard and I think all I have to do is create the maps. In it Mario ran out of his coffee supply and Bowser has robbed the world's coffee shops.:)

I guess I'll showcase what I have on this computer here sofar.
Ever since at least May of last year, I have been working on a region called the Marana region. In this region you have 8 gyms to go to and get to choose between three Pokemon and eventually get to the Pokemon league.
I finally named it "Pokemon Altitude" As it takes place in a mountainous region.
But here's the huge difference
You get the option of 4 different trainers instead of 2
You get to participate in Pokemon minigames in almost every town
There's a secret gym that you must find
The Pokemon league isn't open until a certain part of the game
You get to have your own property in the forest, have a house and grow fruit for your Pokemon
Team Rocket has a big part in this game, but this time they're not doing anything bad at all.......
The new element in this game is Light
The grass starter's name is Paraneon and is Grass/Light
Triple elements are introduced (but only on very few Pokemon) for example the first gymleader (element Electric) will own a Pokemon called Gigashrew who is of the elements Light/Psychic/Electric
There will be interesting ways to beat each leader
Features this game has
First person views for every area
A totally custom tileset
Different custom tilesets for every town and climate
Pokemon research lab will have a lot of outdoor space (like a Pokemon farm) and show trainers and your deposited Pokemon interacting.
Only one region (phew, I dont do multiple regions)
This game will take me forever to do especially because I may have to take out some features and get some geniuses to program it.

Pokemon Seal
On the continent of Odion , A great festival is happening in Julioun City to celebrate the race known as the Legendaries who sealed a great relic known as the Halo Feather Underground in a great temple in the ancient times. The Halo Feather was said to be the key to a Pokemon Utopia in the sky. Where a great pokemon rested.
Team Magma And Aqua, Hearing of this Legend Fled to Odion in search of these ruins to find the Halo Feather. Although, Everything goes wrong. Team Magma and Aqua Fight over the Feather. And in the end, it is destroyed. with the Halo Feather destroyed. The Seal was broken, A giant beam flies out of the temple into the sky awaking the Legendary Beast and distroying the temple the beast desend and now lives in the Ruins. 5 years later Professor Mull discovers a tablet with ancient writings. between him and his co-workers discovered it said:
The Seal shall be bring peace to the world, The land of Heavelation watches over the seal. If somehow it is broken. The Legendary beast will destroy the world in 5years. Only the last of the Ancients can defeat this beast.
It has been 5 years and it has been sent out that the winner of the Odion League with confront this beast.
You must gather the badges and win the Odion league to confornt, defeat the beast and save the world!
Opening Scene:
You start by seeing a cave robed man runing into a cave and on the inside it shows more of these men circling a platform. On this platform a robed man is standing in front of a stone case and says,"From now forth the "Halo Feather" shall not torment anyone with its lust for the utopia of the sky Heavelation, With this said we now will lock this feather away forever!" then with a flash of light the cave is empty.

This is the storyline for my game that will really pwnz my other two games - Emerald DX and Yellow DX. This storyline is for a game called Pokemon Shadow: Eternal Darkness.
During the year 2000, on a very high-security island of Earzodia, Captain Earl and his team have completed their high security project that they have been working on it for years. The twelve fully-equipped speedy ships, all named after the famous twelve zodiac has set off to do a test run, unfortunately for some of the ships, Team Shadow used their army of Shadow Lapras to make a sneak attack on the ships and the followers knocked the drivers off and took S.S.Aries, S.S.Pisces * S.S.Capricorn under their control. The forth, S.S.Gemini watched some of the event and helped the knocked out drivers. All of the ships returned back to the island then reported the incident to Captain Earl that three ships were stolen by some unknown people.
Seven years later, without a trace of the three stolen ships, Team Shadow hasve completed all of their mission which involving making lots of shadow pokemon, is ready to take aboard the three stolen ships to the newly opened group of theme parks, on the Earzodia Islands. Over sixty underlings, four executives, two secret agents and the leader were aboard the three ships heading off to the islands, with their shadow Dragonite, Flygon and Salamence to be used as a lookout.
As soon as they saw the very similiar ship they did not notice seven years ago, the leader ordered the two secret agents to make a sneak attack to take over the ship, S.S.Gemini by scaring all of the people aboard the ship into the water with the combined shadow attack powers of their shadow pokemon - Solrock and Lunatone.
When the nightfall cames, they made afoot on the Earzodia Island, by the morning they took over completely. Chaos, underlings, strange things everywhere. Everyone was taken off the islands except for the seven high skilled trainers, known as the Frontier Brains.
The new reports of the event have been boardcasted all over the world in hope of one young trainer who can save the day, also the boardcasters told the world about the sightseeing of the three stolen ships that was gone without a trace, seven years ago.
The young trainer awokes when the sun shines all over him, yawning walking down the hallway meeting his twin sister when se came out of her own room. They walked downstairs together and caught their attention that seven ships, armed with various police officers, strong trainers, pokemon experts etc, were trying to reach the island, instead they got all dumped out of the ship by the psychic power of the leader's shadow Gengar. All these poor people were being helpless watching the seven ships afloat in air towards the Earzodia Island, now under the control of Team Shadow. Due to this bad news, the 12th ship, the S.S.Scorpio is forbidded to leave without one person who has the destiny to save the day. There is only one person in the whole world knows the trainers.
They got ready to leave to pay a visit to their neighbour in the town of Zebravile. As soon as they entered the neighbour place, they were warmly greeted by a very wise professor who knows the person who can save the day. The wise professor explained that during his early days as a scientist for an old disbaned team - Team Snagem, also various explainations about Team Shadow, two earlier attacks in Orre and other things related to the topic. After the explaination, he was given a snag machine and an Aura seacher, thus the start of the journey for the young trainer.

the games in the series will be called (the parts in brakets are what pokemon it's bace on if the name isn't in the title :) )

there will also be a 12 game about Deoxys but i can't think of a name for it so any sugestions
anyway the story line for the wrath of mewtwo is this
in the 4 known reagions of the pokemon world (kanto, Johto,Hoenn and a new reagion) lots of important people are going missing.
pokemon professors,elite4 member's,gym leaders's and lots of other people and even pokemon.
on your 11'th b'day you go to professor oak's lab and get a pokemon but decide to stay at home that day with it and leave on your journey in the morning. on the next day you decide to go and see professor oak before you leave but when you get two his lab you find out that he is missing and you say you will find him while takeing on the pokemon leage in each reagion

Um...could you guys please rate this storyline for me?The game is called Pokemon Evolution and I think it has potential. Its obviously not perfect so comments are warmly welcome, this game really isnt set in any time period. Okay here it goes...
You are Drake a normal boy living a normal life with one of you best friend Ken living a normal average life. But one day that all changes...for good. That day Drake and Ken encounter an "Unknown Pokemon" nohing they have ever seen before. Nearly the instant they encounter it the "Unknown Pokemon" snatches Ken and is never found again... Professer Cypress is intriged about the encounter and wants Drake take one of his starter pokemon and set off to rescue Ken and discover more about the "Unknown Pokemon". And along the way battle gym leaders.

You also find out that Pokemon League is being corrupted by Team Evolution.There is more but I really dont wanna spoil it for you guys. Please tell me what you guys think I really appreaciate it!

Ok since Zeta was cancelled here's my story for a game that I'm making. Its called Pokemon Chrome.
STORY
A crime syndacate known as Team Vile have appeared in Johto and the Matero Islands(islands near Johto).
They attack towns and cities destroying gyms and landmarks. One day a young trainer
called Gold recieved his first pokemon. But Prof. Elm was taken hostage by Team Vile. Gold chases after Elm, but Team Vile stop him by Violet City. He is saved by a mysterious wanderer who calles himself Green. He gives Gold a pokedex, tells him to get the badges otherwise the "GD00" will be unleashed and Gold leaves to take down Team Vile.

Um,yeah im making a game with RPG Maker 2003.Its called Pokemon: Legendary Revenge.
Story: Humans have been abusing the three legendaries power for a long time,and enraged,they unleash their power on the world.Of course,this isnt one of those easy save the world things,because Ho-oh and Lugia get in the way.With no idea of whats going on,getting a Pokemon from the Proffesor wasnt just a coincidence,as the hero needs to gather three elements,each corresponding to a legendary Pokemon.

The Hiro overworld sprite was made by Avatar so credit goes to him.Its also the Sprite for the main character,but only appears on screen 3 and 4 because i didnt have it at that time.

to Umbreon's Shadow:
First map looks good, I would use an other wall though, it looks a bit weird. Other maps look a bit empty. Try to put houses a bit closer together and fill it up with flowers, roads, sand and darker grass. Lab misses a wall at the top and it also looks a bit big.

suggestions: Try adding a "border" from the rock thing, where he is standing on at the second picture, around the map thatway it doen's looks like it a very big cave.
Also add some rocks to the thing he is standing on at the second screen, looks a bit empty(you could make it smaller too)

Link, alone in the woods, was being amazed at the scenery.Suddenly, a dark figure who seemed to be only an outline filled in with pure black came out of nowhere.He suddenly spoke these words,"Darkness is fed by fear,but vanquished with courage".It had an eery ghostly voice and it seemed to speak in Link's head.Link was dumbfounded,he'd never seen this figure before.He lunged out immeadiently at it,but it vovered and sped backwards through the woods still staring in Link's direction.Fog came out of nowhere and Link was determined to find whatever it was he encountered.He headed straight through the fog,he had no idea where he was going,but he just kept charging.He came across a large tree with an opening that looked like a mouth.He peered down to look,all he could see was a dark pit that led straight down.He looked around wondering where it went.He peered down again and heard a sound behind him.He turned around to the dark figure's face a few mere inches away from his.He was startled and jumped back accidently falling down the pit.The darkness color,which began swirling all together mezmerizing Link as he fell.The color changed to light and he landed roughly on a small circle of grass.The figure appeared in front of him and began to speak,"Link,Hero of Time,I have called you to my land to protect us against a very dark powerful evil.He can take form of anything he pleases,even you.You must find the Lens of Truth,a sacred item in this land."Link remembered about his old lens of truth which unconveniently was'nt with him."But,in fear of someone discovering his identity.He split the Lens into several pieces.The more pieces you have,the more of the truth you will see.You must find his identity,vanquish the evil,and help return our land to normal.Also remember what I said about darkness.Can you help us?"Link nodded."Good,I will now leave you,you must find the lens of truth,and remember,not everything you see is true!"The figure disappeared and the patch surrounde by white nothingness,became surrounded in a field of grass.Link retraced his thoughts,and he set foot on a journey of life time...

I thought it up in maths so don't have a go at me 'cause it's not the most advanced game in the world!
It's called (wait for it) ...... astro-turf man!! (I know crappy name but at least it's simple)
In the game you play as a man who who lays astro-turf for a living. you have to protect your land and your job by getting rid of the schools vandals and building the best all weather pitch the world has ever seen!!
the objective is to lay as many tiles of astro-turf in the given time but you can only walk on the astro-turf you've layed (or you'd ruin the tar on the floor!!) It's a combonation of bomber man and pacman as when the time limit is up a bunch of chavs come rushing onto the pitch and try to destroy your astro-turf tiles by trampling on them so they have to be re-layed! but you can get rid of these pesky chavs by throwing your tiles on their heads (which destroys them).
In the levels you can get a load of power ups to help you lay like Coffee (makes you super fast for certain amount of time), fake tiles (so the cavs destroy them instead of your preasous all weather stuff!) and so on.....!!
By completing each job you get dosh (the green stuff.......money) which can be redeemed at your all weather flooring company supplier for power ups to start off with on the next job (level) you can get stuff like Chevlon vests so you can't get knifed by those chavs cement slabs that can't be destroyed as easily as your normal astro-turf and I'm not shore if I'll make it able to get a gun or not.
I know it's crap but please all idears would be a great help!

Hello i am looking into making a game but i really dont know where to get started
Name-Pokemon Deep Sea
Pokemon-All Water Pokemon + some Fusions to Make A Total of 150
Environment-all water people will live in houses like air bubble and they will have a tube that goes out side so that they can get air

In the starting town (I FORGOT THE NAME!) the tiles are way too dark. The route's trees do not match the tiles, and you should add more scenery. x)

You know the "Print Screen" command on the keyboard right? Press that when you want to take the screen. Then open up some pain program such as MS Paint. Go to Edit>Paste.

i was thinking about turning this story into a pokemon game tell me what you think.
10 years after ash becomes pokemon master he marry misty and have 2 kids. Everyone is married or older meaning brock and the rest of the gang and prof oak is died. Anyway you grow up with ash son since his other kid is a gym leader. You grow up with no dad and you think he might be one of the 3 pokemon masters and the story goes on from there. The gym leaders some stayed like the younger ones but some of the older ones kids took over. you must have all the badges to take on the pokemon league tournament in each region to face the top trainers. so how is it

the house with the ruin doors has an explanation, it was actually a cave where a meteor was found, then an ancient civilization built a temple around it and now scientists built a lab around it to study it :P

the one really long route i just fixed by taking the town that was sticking off of it and putting it on the route and i added a town up near the top and the region itself is supposed to be big like that..but i guess illl make it smaller liek maybe hoenn sized....because im done really game making but im going to be spriting and i plan on someday becomming part of a fangame team...as a spriter....i wont go into detail because this isnt the place...oh yea heres a region map for an RM2k3 game i was doing before glitter black that i might pick up and finish

sorry to say this by I totally disagree on giving it a 9/10 for various reasons:
1. It's too big for a region, unless it'S like 4 regions together.
2. It only has cities, routes and forests. Or at least that's what those icons are for.
3. The routes are too big and they totally go against the 8x8 rule of route placement, you can't have a random size it must be an 8x8 based size which means 3 routes going north should be 8 horizontal pixels by 24 (8 times 3) vertical pixels and so on.
4. The city and forest icons also totally disrespect each other like placing forests on top of cities is not the best solution.
That's what's wrong if you wanna make it like a real game style, if you just want to make a map then it's ok, if you want to make it look official then take my advice. :P

i sort of agree with spike6958...for a few reasons for oen its kanto,johto, and a new, maybe 2, new regions....the forest marker can be caves/importaint places makers too..because on poeon treasures johto map there is those markers on citys...and even on the official Kanto map theres thos markers on citys.....i really dont understand the whole route thing......so i wont comment on that...but [_DarkDragon_] is right about there not being any towns....but that might be beacause you used FR/LG style which all towns/citys are the same color...but the routes on your region(s) are too large i have the same problem on someof my maps just condence them alittle or add town/citys in them to divided it into more routes..........ill give it a 7/10

I noticed the two south regions are kanto and johto but if you look at the game maps they are different. (at least for kanto)

The games use the dungeon marker, the forest one looks ugly on top of the city one, as for the route thingy I meant ithey have to be built off 8x8 blocks of pixels.

omg, I shall refresh your memory:
OK, my bad I was guiding myself by the Hoenn mapping, anyways. Here's what I gathered:
Blue Squares in Kanto - used for Caves, Forests, Safari Zone, Victory Road, etc.
Grey circles - used for Power Plant and Seafoam Islands.
I dunno why they are different, appart from the circle ones are never used for forests it seems to all depend on size.

you should check your map in your FireRed or LeafGreen version, it does use other icons ;)

You live in Jabobo Town, which is East of Kanto. You are a person very curious about Pokemon, but you're too shy to ask the local Prof for a Pokemon, but one day, you see a small splash in the lake. noticing that it is a drowning Pokemon, you jump in. You swim out to get it. When you get to shore, you realize that you don't know what Pokemon it is. Taking it to the Prof (Professor Cotton (Sorry about the name, but I was thinking of plants.)), he reveals it to be the legendary Pokemon, Mew. At the sound of it's name, the Mew leaps into your arms. The Prof says that it is just a baby. He says that it needs to be examined, seeing as Mew is considered a myth by experts. He's too busy with an experiment, so he asks you to take it to the next town, Kellsville, to the research institute. The Mew huddles in your arms at this. Thus, you set off.

OK, I decided to release a few screens from my game ,Pokémon Garnet. ( For more info on Pokémon Garnet, go see its thread in the plot/Storyline sub-forum :))
Before we start, let me just say three things: 1- the game is being made with Sphere, 2- Credits to [Dark_Dragon] for the fonts and windowframe, and lastly 3- The overworld is just a test. It will be another one.

Maps are quite good, but that light grass autotile thingy in the special scene looks odd. Because the shade of grass (on the edges) are a diffrent sahde to the normal patches for grass.

Oh, and Matthechamp, you just press the PrntScn button for your whole desktop view, or Alt+Prntscn button, to take a photo only your active window.
I'll go and fix the map now.
EDIT: New Mappy :) The panels are supposed to be there, as so is the icy floor... special events in the game ;)

Well, I don't have any screenshots on me, only TONS of sprites, music and resources. Obviously, mine follows the plot of G/S/C almost exactly. Though I can promise a few months down the road we'll have a video. :)

You should really fix the transition between the regular cave floor and the ice floor, as it looks rather awkward when it just changes instantly. Making some borders wouldn't hurt.

Most the maps I've seen in the last 10 pages are awesome but I prefer these Sylph's last ones because of being the most recent seen by me and because they are very well made!

Out of PURE BOREDOM on a day off school, I decided to try my hand at remaking a PERFECT Goldenrod City. I probably won't actually use this but I figured the Pokémon Platinum project might like it? I do love Johto as a region, probably because of the fond memories I have of playing Gold and Silver for the very first time all those years ago (mild nostalgia kicks in). Since FRLG, I've been fascinated with a remake of Johto, so...

Some of the resources are my own edits, all standard rips are mine, Mateo is to credit for the first version of the Train Station which I modificated to make it blend more with a FRLG style, others (the main style of building) came from the Pokémon Platinum board, but I took the liberty of adding an extra roof style and some additional tiles for more variation in building types and sizes. Overall, I'm pleased with the look of this and I just about stuck to the exact design of Goldenrod (the flower shop thingy has its Crystal position instead of Gold/Silver due to it being more "convenient") but giving it that more "loose" FRLG mapping style rather than everything being packed tightly together.
Opinions?

Looks OK, I like it. Most FRLG style maps tend not to mix and match 2 different path styles like that, and it's sort of packed into a small space where it's almost the exact same proportions as the original GSC map. If that's what you were going for, then it's spot on. But for the best looks, it's a wise idea to expand and enlarge them slightly like FRLG did with Kanto.
7.5/10
And definitely not bad for 2AM ;)

Goldenrod is just brilliant, Fang! I love the yellow houses and the train station! Also everything is very well placed!

I like your Azalea, Sylph, the using of different paths! But I think the cliff near the Slowpoke Well is to short in height and width.
The second one has a problem, it has to few space to walk. The Nintendo maps tend to have more water, more walking spaces and more, but smaller tall grass gaps. But I kinda like the moisture of colors and the pleasing green.

I do like it, it's got a very unique styling to it. Different mappers have different mapping styles. I guess you don't have to copy Nintendo's style! I do try to though =P
I can generally tell different mappers apart. I go for more open space, but from Sylph's last 2 maps, his style is ... narrow? Very unique. It's a compact structure, but the maps look very lush and vibrant, packing more colour and life into a smaller space, and seems improvised and free rather than trying to emulate a more uniform style. Good stuff! Keep it up!
EDIT: Just took a look at Sylph's cave. EXCELLENT idea, particularly with the HM. Ingenius! Nicely laid out again, but the ice looks a tad blocky. There are available tiles to put around the edges to put around patches of ice to... blend it into the ground more?

I don't like Nintendo's style much. I think there always is too much space, where nothing at all happens. I think that crowded lifts the map spirit more, but I also have care to have at least 2 tile distance. I don't want it TOO crowded :P
Two is the needed for movement, so I keep it like that. Because generally, routes don't have people wandering on them. On towns, I tend to open a bit more, because NPC will be strolling around.
On the icy cave, I didn't see any ice edges, so I went with blocks. Was thinking of making one :P
Will post a screen of it as soon as I have it.

That, Silon, is IMMENSELY cool. My only issue is with mixing it in with a R/S/E style pathway which clashes with the predominant FRLG design. Otherwise, a very creative and pictoresque map. Not too much there in the way of buildings, yet it doesn't look empt
