I'm not sure if there is another Inuyasha thread, but I checked and didn't see one. So, who here likes Inuyasha? I'm a personal fan of the show, and him! xD Share your thoughts and intrests. (And if there was already an Inu thread please go ahead and lock this...I'm sorry)

I'll be honest, I think the series is "alright", just not my cup o' tea (for some reason, I've tried at least), personally I prefer Ranma 1/2. But for Inuyasha the Intros & Endings are top notch.
Anyway in the show my fav. character is by far Myouga :D he so needs more fans, lol. I also don't mind Sesshoumaru.

I had high hopes when I borrowed the mangas from a friend, but while reading it, I started to get bored. It was good at the beggining, but after a while it started to bore me for some reason.
I still don't get why Sesshomaru revived Rin and still has her.

That's the kind of thing you miss if you jump into a show midway...XD

But yeah, it is really repetitive, even the last episode was pretty much the same as every other episode. I guess it's just because it's unstructured and not built around arcs like most anime are. It works for a while...but 137 episodes of it gets a wee bit boring.

If you're referring to that, the most recent one here in Canada in Shinjitsu no Uta, and america either still has that, or is on Come now.

Brand New World is the final ending for the final season which probably wont be shown for another year or so dubbed, but its the latest InuYasha ending in Japan, XD

Kagome in general is too cliched for my tastes.

Mmhmm...like any of us have never seen a Japanese schoolgirl thrust into an alternate world where she discovers she has an amazing power before. I got so mad I threw away a manga called The Vision of Escaflowne after buying it when I realized it had that plot. Apparently I missed the tiny picture of the main character suggestively holding her skirt down on the front. This premise got old years ago.

well, thats what made the story. Kagome lived beside an ancient shrine that held the link to the fuedal era. Since she was apparently the reincarnation of the priestess who died along with the shikon jewel, she had the jewel inside of her. One day a demon searching for the jewel grabbed her and took her into the fuedal era, where she met Inuyasha, set him free, and startedher journey. Of course, after she accedentally destroyed the jewel breaking it into tiny peices while retrieving it from a flying demon with her arrow. Then, Kagome and Inuyasha teamed up to gather the shards of the jewel, so they wouldn't fall into the wrong hands. ^^

Ohh, heh =p I'm new to the Inuyasha scene so that really explained a lot for me. It was definitely more interesting than a lot of the episodes I've seen recently, though. I can't believe Inuyasha was that hateful toward humans back then XD

Yeah, in the very beginning, he was a villian to all humans, and only cared about getting the jewel and becoming stronger by turning into a full demon. as the series goes on, he becomes softer due to all of the expiriences with Kagome and all of the other human friends that he makes. He develops a soft spot in his heart for humans, and thats what his sword, tetsuiga was made for, to protect mortals from danger. Whenever Inuyasha has something to protect, he becomes very strong. But without, he doesn't have as much will-power. I must admit, the first 50 episodes are the best...then the ones in between are more space taking, although amusing when you are bored. xD Then the very last episodes get better, like the first ones were. ^^

Yeah, Kagome always is a little bit like that, but there are some good times that make me like her better as a character.

At the beginning, Kikyou seems...a little sour, but she gets better. To me at least. ^__^ Kagome just has the kind and devoted heart, thats what makes me like her.

There was one episode that really made me like both of them more, but I'm not going to spoil anymore. ^^'

I don't think that is true. I've heard from some people that the ending was very surprising. I know a few details about the ending, but I shouldn'y share them. Also, the ending of the anime is not truely the ending. The manga is continuing where it left off, and going to continue the storyline from there. ^^

Had to, it was was taking a BIG hit in ratings lately. Since most of the stuff up to that point was just filler, it turned people off and the show dropped from I think 6.77 which is really good to 3.45 which is a bit below normal (4.00) in about a year.

I think he means in Japan, the series ended last year over there. And it didn't really have an ending, Movie four was supposed to close it up and take some more story from the manga, but it came out being almost all original work...which didn't turn out that great.

Last night episode of Inuyasha on Adult Swim was good. No swear words came out of Inuyasha or the demon's sailor mouth. I think in that episode the older of the Thunder brother killed his girlfriend because he's mad at his bro with a thunder blast.

The manga started to drag at around volume 30, it's at 43 or something now. It's really boring and I don't know how it still keeps going. The band of seven was the only real arc that the series had. I like freeform anime and manga where everything doesn't feel so closed in like it arcs, but not over 40 volumes and over 100 episodes, they just keep going, there's no real goal anymore...it's just dragging.

Indeed, Ranma 1/2 also dragged; thankfully, that's a comedy though, so it's easier to stay interested. Inuyasha needs a fairly interesting new arc if Ms. Takahashi plans on reaching her 500+ chapter goal.

I saw my first episode of Inuyahsa on Adult Swim yesterday. It was good but not as good as the manga. The good thing about this anime...every episode/manga volume is aobut they trying to get the shards of the Jewel of 4 Souls so you always basically know what is happening! XD

It's such a long series. Longer than Ranma. I'm currently on volume 42 of the comic. I started reading it back when it was at volume 30, thinking that it would end at 40, but no, it didn't. It's kind of boring now, but I still continue to read it so I can (hopefully) finish it.

Maison Ikkoku is pretty good. I like Urusei Yatsura/Lum the most, though.

Oh yea, fav. character in Inuyasha is Sesshoumaru.

I thought it was funny when Inuyasha and Kagome were sitting on that hill, toward the end of the episode, and she acts like she's going to start crying. Inuyasha looks at her and starts to feel bad, but then she turns around and screams at him. "Why do you keep trying to pick a fight with me? Sit! Sit! Sit!" and she just digs him about a foot into the ground. I laughed through some of the credits.
