Back in the day we had the Coke Club and the Pepsi Club and they always battled for supremacy and were quite popular. I've decided to revive the idea of that type of club, except that it now encompasses all sodas! So, erm, all your soda-related conversation goes here, I guess =p

I just tried Sam's Club Pineapple Soda for the first time, and I'm addicted to it o_o;

Off-brand sodas can be some of the best. Faygo, for instance. It tastest just as good as name-brand but only costs 25 cents per can out of a soda machine.

I have some club soda in storage just incase I need to make some Baja Blast. Since it only exists at Taco Bell, I have a tupperware full of it frozen that I can thaw and add soda water to at any time to resurrect what will one day be the world's rarest soda <_<;

Coke in Glass Bottles > Vanilla Pepsi > Pepsi > Coke in plastic bottles/aluminum cans > Vanilla Coke > Pepsi Twist in my opinion. I've never been a fan of colas that have been infused with citrus, though admittedly I've yet to taste any of the "with lime" sodas. I'm currently still in my love affair with Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper and I don't feel like ruining it.

Hah, I've always wanted to down a 1-liter or a 2-liter of soda in one sitting, but I've never been able to work up the courage XD Probably the best I've ever done is 6 or 8 cans, but I'm not sure on the exact number x_x

Meh, I can hold my breath for 2:30 minutes an' still stay aware so drinkin' a 1-liter bottle without stoppin' wasn't tha problem -- the problem was keepin' cool while those bubbles hurt like hell. >_<
Meh, in the end it's confined in my list of stoopid things I've done so it was worth it. ^_^

Pepsi Blue was terrible...I only ever had it once, but it tasted like antifreeze x_x;

I wish I would have been smart enough to keep a few bottles, though...a 12-ounce can go for $25 on ebay ;_____; I'm actually stockpiling sodas for the future when they're valuable--I have a 12-pack of Pepsi Holiday Spice that will get me hundreds of dollars in the future.

Yes, the more you've seen of Iron Chef, the better. The only reason I don't watch anymore is because I've seen them all x_x There's still about two years worth that they've never brought over from the time when Komei Nakamura was IC Japanese, but I doubt we'll ever see it <_<;

Fruity Fresh...never heard of it, but it is probably good. We have tons of off-brand sodas over here and they all taste great...Sam's Club, Faygo, Royal Crown, they're all great.

Whenever I'm at one of those soda fountains where I can pick my own at a restaurant, I mix them all and see how it tastes...which isn't bad, actually. It's usually a mix of Coke, Sprite, Mello Yello, Fruit Punch, Iced Tea, Pink Lemonade, and Cherry Coke x_x

Sometimes I'll mix regular coke and diet coke to annoy my sister =p

You mean they water down Romanian Coke? I mean, if they really did that, that would be terrible =/ Oh well...depends on where it's bottled. I mean, soda tastes different from restaurant to restaurant here depending on how they mix the syrup and the soda water; it's all about proportion. The water itself can taste different from county to county here, even, so that can affect it too. Like, for instance, the county over from me has awful-tasting water, and you can kind of notice in their restaurant sodas at a few different places.

well, i want some storm... who else remembers storm?? it was pepsi's attempt at lemon-lime before siera mist. i do consider myself to be something of a connoisseur of fine sodas. my personal favorite is probably the jarritos mandarin soda. (it is o-so-fine!) (it's from mexico). i also am quite fond of jone's cream soda and pretty much any kind of bottled root beer. unfortunatly... right now my friend and i are having a little competition to see who can go longer without soda. i went through caffiene withdrawal on the same day that we landed in london for our vacation (jet lag plus withdrawal... what could be greater?) i had such a headache... i used to be quite the drinker. but alas... we shall have to wait for my friend to fail before i try more soda. it is a matter of honor.

I don't live close enough to Mexico to come anywhere near Jarritos soda, unfortunately, though I have seen many fine Mexican sodas various places that I have wanted to try. Jones Creme Soda is top of the line, rivaled in quality only by Barq's Red Creme Soda, which I still favor by a slight margin.

*clears throat* i asume that i am not the only one who has ever wondered what the "natural flavors" in dr. pepper are. my cousin told me that it was prune, but i didn't believe him until i was at a barbeque one summer... at this barbeque, the only non-diet drink was dr. pepper (and maybe coke, but at the time i disliked coke more than i feared dr. p) so i drank like 5 of them. this barbeque was also a swim party, so i had my suit on. after the 5th can, my stomache started making such weird noises and feeling not too good. i really, really had to drop some bombs (prunes have a nasty tendancy to make everything flow through really easily) and ran to the bathroom. there, i found that the drawstring to my suit was tied in a knot and as hard as i pulled it wouldn't come undone, nor could i pull it down. so i had to run back through the house (not my house mind you) looking for a pair of scissors. i found some *forgets where exactly* (i was in a panic after all) and cut the string off. it was one of the more disgusting craps i've ever taken. and since then, i have never drank more than one can of dr. pepper at a time. THE END!

Nice observation about what a rip-off the name Sierra Mist is. Even odder is the name of the mountain dew equivalant of the soda brand Faygo, which is called Moon Mist o_O I like that Sierra Mist tastes somewhat different than Mountain Dew, at least, closer to 7up than anything.

pineapple soda is great. the sweetest soda in the world (according to the numbers) is a pineapple soda that you can only find in cuba (i'm pretty sure). supposedly it makes your teeth "shiver" but this sensation is really just fast decay. (that's just what i've heard, i've never had the privilage of tasting it). jarritos pineapple is very good. a couple summers ago my family was making our anual week long trip to catalina island. on this island there is a vons grocery store that sells jarritos. on the first day my cousin and i both bought pineapple sodas and thought they were so good that we bougt at least 2 from each day after. we eventually decided to try other jarritos flavors (we tried them all). it was good times... every time we checked out with the same grocery checker (his name was joe c.) and by the end of the week we were friends with him. we have a picture with him:

My sister drinks the stuff all the time...and I had one, forgot what it was, but it tasted good. Think I will get some more...and whats good is that they come in bottles...like the old glass bottles soda used to come in...and sometimes still does....

glass bottles make everything better except for water... water needs to be out of plastic (it's too much of a hastle to refill glass bottles). ah, so... i was at youth group on wednesday evening and i'm still not drinking soda... so i have to settle for this sugar free tropicana orangeaide stuff... it was humiliating...

The new Tropicana stuff is all over the place...I almost bought a 2-liter for my soda collection but I've got a bad feeling it's here to stay.

Soda does taste better in glass bottles. Coke tastes so good in a glass bottle that it becomes better than pepsi, in fact. I almost think that aluminum can harm the taste of soda. Think of it this way: you know how when you have a handful of change and then smell your hand it smells like metal? I feel that it's the same with sodas. Some chefs won't use certain types of knives on food because people can taste trace amounts of metal in the food if it's meant to be served raw, like a sashimi or tartare.

I really wish Mountain Dew still came in glass bottles. That would be great. I actually have an old Mountain Dew bottle from the 1960s (the dawn of Mountain Dew) and it's rather odd...apparently their marketing strategy back then was to make it appeal to hillbillies, because their mascot was a hillbilly whose catchphrase was "It'll tickle your innards!" o_O

Actually, I could use some of that...I had a little too much soda this morning...acid reflex is a horrible feeling...burns and burns in throat...chest....drank some water to quell it, but that didn't work...and I'm not much of a milk drinker...

ahhh... i was pretty much addicted to soda, so i could have it any time. i remember one night when i was at my friend's house for the night we bought a twelve pack of cherry coke and a 12 pack of cream soda. i think i drank at least 10 of them. i was drinking them up until like 3... we went to sleep at around 3 30 and i had no issues falling asleep at all... i ocationally get 24 packs of mandarin or pineapple jarritos, and will always drink them with my normal breakfast of pretzels...

Hmm, tha max I've ever drank soda pop was 4 liters in a day, tch, that was 2 large 2 liter bottles o' Coke an' it was in a summer 2 or 3 days ago -- hey, I was thirsty ok?

I had some Welch's Grape Soda for the first time in a long time today. I'm pleased to say that it's as good as ever.

my most impressive, disgusting intake of soda was in a period of 15 minutes on a windy mountain road. it was a warm 2 liter of code red... it was not fun.

It's ususally bad when soda is warm because it tends to go flat then, too...I don't care for warm soda, actually, it just makes me more thirsty x_x;
