Rate da layout!

Hi guys! I just finished the layout for Pokemon Help (http://www.pokemonhelp333.paulhq.com/) and I'd like you to rate it and give me some suggestions on how to improve it. It's my first try so don't be hard on me :). Here you go:

Looks amazing. The latios-dog does look creepy, in a cute way. Or is that the other way around. I can never remember.

Anyway, I love how it's set up. Not too hard on the eyes, and not too hard to navigate.

I noticed on the sample of the new layout you are missing a letter in "Eon Master".
It reads "Eon Maser"..xD. Anyways nice layout the Latioosh is cool.

It looks cool, but it's way, way, way too hard to read the text. It just doesn't stand out right. Nothing stands out right. The title blends with the background too much.

But you're on the right track, so don't give up.

So like, is this a real layout you actually made, or is it just an image of a site that you want someone else to make?

the text is easy read the layout is made in photoshop but he wants someone to slice it and put it into html i'm pretty sure

i agree with allstories. good layout (especially for a 13 year old). the text should stand out, you know? that way others can read the title and it looks cooler that way. dont worry though, it's still pretty well done.

one thing i have to say that layout wont fit on a 800x600 screen your size is 800x600 so to make it fit it has to be like 760x600

Geez, I feel stupid. xD I absolutely love it! I don't think the Latios-dog thing is scary. It looks pretty cool.

Rather impressive design... While the design is good, try to use as few images as possible - i.e. those backgrounds to the section headers - try reusing them and use text or smaller images as the text.

Some of the image text is hard to read, you may wish to make it contrast more with the background, if possible. Although with the choice of colours that may be difficult.

For the top bar, you may wish to space out the text of "Home", "Link to Us", etc. more so it's easier to tell where one name ends and another begins.

Also, "Poke City Best Forum Ever" seems more than a little tacky... Might want to make that a more simple link, like "Poke City Forum" or just "Poke City".

And it looks greatly like you've done this in an image editing program... While it looks stunning, it's going to be hard to translate to HTML because of some of the effects you've used, like transparency to what should be the background, and interlocking, overlapping image pieces. Some parts you may wish to simplify.

And if you do end up using as many images as it seems you intend to, you may wish to provide a low-bandwidth (text-only, or almost text-only) version for people using 56K, or viewing on things other than a full computer (i.e. a PDA). If you're using PHP and include() to do most of the layout, with the content being separate, either included basic files, or from a database, adding an extra choose-able theme should be relatively simple.
