It looks good, the only suggestion I have is to put the shoutbox after the affiliates and topsites. Also, your affiliates or topsites shouldn't scroll. Otherwise, it looks great! ^^

Decent, very very decent layout, nice banner. Some content, keep plugging on that but the layout at 800x600 seems a bit to wide for me, otherwise good work.

It is made to fit 800x600 exactly. I think the banner is exactly 800 px wide. But I made it so it would seem spacious on 1024x768 and then an exact fit on 800x600. But thanks for the comment.

Get rid of that bright green. It contrasts with the black background too much, and the banner makes the rest of the site too plain-looking.

The problem with making a layout exactly 800 pixels wide is... see that? --->
That scrollbar is about 20px wide, so you have to compensate for that. Never make a layout wider than 780, and you might want to stick with 779 just to be safe.
Otherwise, it's looking good. Could stand a little more content, but you're on the right track. ^^

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE...I have made a new lighter layout and with this one I hope it fixes the problem with the viewers who use 800x600 screen resolutions.
Here is the url to the new layout:

Thanks PJ...And Yeah now that I have my 2nd layout done. As for content I am going to redo all of the Pokemon Games section, add a Pokedex, also I plan to add a section for Pokemon Movies and Music because I like those and I hate the show.

How detailed is your pokedex going to be?

July 6th, 2005, 02:46 PM

No, is it going to have base stats, max stats, moves, 'dex entries for all games, personality summaries, etc? XD
Thomas-san
July 6th, 2005, 03:29 PM
In each version it will have stats, moves, evos, locations, pokedex entries, tms hms it can learn, breeding moves, and what pokemon it can breed with.

My screen res must be off, I got a bit to wide at 800x600 in both IE and Mozilla, even with it the layout is quite excellent, very nice.

The layout is SLOW. Sites shouldn't have a resolution requirement. The banner is at a ridiculous compression level - banners that size shouldn't be 191 KB, especially with the absense of much colours! I suggest PNG-8 as a format for such a banner!
Also, table use makes me scream. The main page is... big. After looking at the source code, you've got a lot of lines and code explaining the page load time.
Validity testing: No DOCTYPE declaration was specified. The Validity cannot properly be checked. However, the errors on check were found:
HTML 3.2: 76 errors.
HTML 4.01 Transitional: 44 errors.
HTML 4.01 Strict: 145 errors.
XHTML 1.0 Transitional: 152 errors.
XHTML 1.0 Strict: 251 errors.
Your site screams for whitespace. Text is too close to the border in a few areas.
CSS is also absent from the entire document. FONT tags are too old.
I know I'm being over the top with my page checking, but switching to CSS could also save bandwidth problems.

I never saw the previous layouts but this one is very decent. Pleasing to the eyes, well contrasted. Nice font choices. The banner is a bit plain but it has a picture so it's alright.

Thanks senji. If you like the hacking tools then you will like the update I am planning. Instead of putting links to just sites. I am working on compiling a list of all the best hacking tools and putting them in section on the site. So it will be even easier for hackers to get all their tools. :)
