Php and HTML?

Okay, so this is the problem, I manage Gaming Ocean (http://www.trenttech.net/gamingocean) and I have tons of HTML pages, and when I want to add an affiliate, then it is really hard to edit all the pages. And now I hear that PHP make it possible to edit one page and everything get's edited, Is this true? And in that case, how can I make my HTML documents become PHP, and how do I use PHP?

Basically you just have your conent on each file, and the index is the only page with a layout, the the files are just included on that one. Very easy.
