Hm... Here's something I wrote for four nights without any sleep at all. It is without a title. It's not complete, but if I were to show all of it it would be far too long. I would just like opinions on it so far...

As I was born,
I opened up my eyes
To see a world, scorn
By its own demise.

In all my days
Ive stayed sane.
But our world stays
In its own pain.

My road to free others
Ive seen nearby.
The innocents will make it
And some will not.

Where have
I gone wrong?
The road to freedom
Was way too long.
Will there be any hope for us?

The innocent are
Never free
From our worlds
Sadistic glee.
Where have I gone completely wrong?

Murderers and
Blasphemy,
The light of existence
Well never see.
The was once a chance for hope

Some are
Suicidal.
But most are just
In denial.
Where have all the innocent gone?

The misery like fantasy
Is the end of it all.
The dissonance, the innocence
Far away from being one.

I live not
In fantasy
Peace can be
Its my destiny.
Will peace arrive before I die?

All my years
Theyve gone so fast
Still the innocent
Will never last.
Wheres our savoir for today?

Will I last or
Will I fall,
Will I die like
The others saw?
Its a struggle for survival at last

When its time
I will die
Do not bother
Dont pity dont cry.
Ive done all I can for right now

The pain of the insane
Is like no other pain
The harmony in the colony
Is not likely to happen.

Can you see the raindrops falling like our fading tears?
Can you hear the cries of those who run from their fears?
When will our world be restored to its peaceful state?
Who the heck will decide its fate?

Innocence will
Live on
To be killed
By some moron.
What has happened to our humble earth?

There are some
That believe
That joyfulness is
All theyll receive
At least they are optimists

Shattered souls in a
Broken home
And a pistol thats
Made from chrome.
They will soon be one of them

My home, my dome,
Is my sanctuary.
The pain, the rain,
It hits my house so hard.

Murderers and
The insane
Will never cease to
Bring us pain.
We will, soon enough, just fade away

Killers are
In relief,
Leaving others
in disbelief.
They find bad ways to please themselves

Is it enough what we go through?
Our ever-changing vast lifes end.
Is it enough that we are tortured?
But wait, we all fall the same.

Suppressed
Memory.
Its inside thats
Killing me.
We all are our doom

Well fall like
All the rest.
Its worth a try
Lets do our best
To keep them away for now

If wed all join
And unite
We wont lose
A single fight.
We will, we shall, recover

The misery like fantasy
Is the end of it all.
The dissonance, the innocence
Far away from being one.
Can you see the raindrops falling like our fading tears?

Can you hear the cries of those who run from their fears?

When will our world be restored to its peaceful state?

Who the hell will decide its fate?

Weve lost all control and there isnt restraint.

Its all those criminals who will dominate.

Whos to say that they will change our fate?

Weve lost our mindand our own souls.

How will we

escape?

The road to freedom

Is way too long.

Help me, help us, escape

One person cant do it alone.

To join forces we all must do.

A unison.

Harmony.

Evil shall corrupt us all.

It is just one mighty force.

A single.

Dissonance.

Harmony and dissonance;

Weve been in battle for hundred of years.

We cant live in harmony,

We differ in doing making dissonance.

Now that

I have died

I hope theyll be

On the other side.

Facing what killed us all

Where have the innocent gone?

Their cries for freedom stand.

Where have the innocent gone?

They did what was right and yet they lost

Where have the innocent gone?

Woah! Thanks for leading me to this thread! That is a great poem! It is very long... oh well. Size doesn't matter. You must've really got some inspiration from the 4 nights of no sleep!:P

Make that 5.
I didn't sleep yesterday, either.
Oh, and, thanks.

It is, for the lack of a better term, very poetic. The poem is thoughtful and insightful, and has been assembled in a manner that flows well. Altogether, an impressive work.
