I am looking to purchase the semi-new Emerald game and was considering also getting a guide to make the process of being the best that little bit easier, (!). I am now looking for your feedback on the three guides which i have spotted really off the outlook from Amazon and our good friends Pokemon Center;
Official Pokemon Emerald Guide (http://www.pokemoncenter.com/store/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=PokemonBaseCat&category%5Fname=VIDEO+GAMES&product%5Fid=851)
$19.95
Prima Pokemon Emerald Guide (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0761551077/ref=pd_sxp_elt_l1/102-6225897-3680952)
$10.19
Nintendo Power Pokemon Emerald Guide (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1930206585/ref=pd_sxp_elt_l1/102-6225897-3680952)
$14.99

I have only used Prima guides. They are quite helpful.

Why do you need to buy a guide at all just use gameFAQS.
But anyway i would only use offical guides.NO cheap re-makes.

I have used all those brands of guides at some point. I have beaten the games so many times I do not use a guide anymore, but in the early days when I did not have Internet, Happy Dude, a guide was heaven for me.

i like nintendo power, i hate prima, they don't really tell you anything except for small bits and hints. np tells you what you need to do, how to do it and what you get for doing it

I have decided upon the Nintendo Power version, from viewing the reviews at Amazon for the products and those, (although vague), here it is somewhat obvious Nintendo Power is the popular choice. I'll report back later once it has arrived and i have tested it out too as too if it is any good.

No need to buy guides if there are that many good Pokémon-sites around^^

The Official Guide included in tha game's box suits me just fine, tch, detailed manuals spoil all tha secret-ness. >_<

I prefer the Famitsu guide, but I've actually never read any English Pokemon guides before, so I can't judge.

I don't really waste my money on guides so I can't assist you with this problem, what's the point in buying guides anyway? They just take all the fun out of the game.
