Rarest Catches Ever!

This isn't supposed to be your *proudest* catch. It could be, but what I'm looking for is the "rarity" of the Pokemon catch. For all I know, it could be a Shiny Latias, or even a plain 'ol shiny Zigzagoon. Heck, it doesn't HAVE to be shiny; I'd just like you to post your rarest catch-that's it.

Mine=Entei with a Pokeball, and Rayquaza with a Great Ball. The only other "rare" catch would be Chimecho and Feebas, but Feebas doesn't count once you find it, and Chimecho... I have not seen one since my first copy of Sapphire *I'm on my 5th or 6th btw, and I own two copies now lol*

well, i remember catching a moltres with a great ball, i also caught a shiny spearow (it was gold), but i think the rarest catch you could ever get would be going to the safari zone, finding a shiny chansey, catch it, and it's holding a lucky egg! Latias in a Poke Ball (took longer then Rayquaza)
Kyogre and Groudon in the same way (both took about hour each)
and my friend who came back from america giving me the ticket to get to birth island, going there and catching Deoyxs in a Great Ball :D:D:D

Well I would say any legendary I caught..I always use pokeballs on em and press a weird button sequence that usually gets me to easily catch em..I actually saved my master ball on Latias in Emerald because I caught Rayquaza with a pokeball.. ^_^(So very happy)

My rarest catches, well in my gold version I came across a shiney goldeen, I didn't even know what shinys were back then, I wasn't even going to catch it but my hand sliped and I used a pokeball instead of a potion and got it:laugh: I notice it was a differant color later and showed it to my friend and he was like "OMG thats a shiney"

I also caught a male surskit in my first 5 minutes of gameplay, and a female skitty when I first reached the grass near the wimsper cave. I didn't even know they were rare until I saw the TV news flash after I beat the game.

I think my Rarest catch ever i FEEBAS !!!! That little devi is hard to catch. The problem here is not to put it inside the ball, but tu FIND it !!!!! :D
And catch Rayquaza with SERIOUS nature (it usually has a abalance between special attack-for elemental attacks and attack-for Normal and Flying attacks) only with pokeball ! the worst pokeball ever !

Hmm, Catching Lugia, I kept throwing Ultraballs at it when it had 1 life, and still didn't catch it, Then it used Recover :dead: So I gave up and used my masterball. :D And thats the story of my Lugia :)

I don't believe there is a code for Emerald unless you use a cheat device~ Next time, post it in a code thread. My rarest catches are Feebas, Chimeco and a shiny Golbat X3;

with a pokeball, it was asleep and it's HP was in the red, I meant to throw

an ultra ball but accidentally picked pokeball instead and to my extreme

surprise it stayed caught, that was neat.

um...I also caught a chansey once with a lucky egg with the first

safari ball I tossed at in leaf green, but that was after trying to catch

like 12 of them, it was just weird that this one appeared and it stayed

um...I have lots of shinies so they don't count to me

Yes, all pokemon are can be caught as a shiny. You just have to be lucky enough to see them.

Okay the rarest pokemon i caught and believe me it took a long time to do was catching a chansey on leaf green with the safarie zone. I probably misspelt safarie. I mean for the fact leaf green and fire red you only can capture it in the saffire zone. The question though is how do u take pictures of your pokemon. Normally, you can't catch Mew without abusing a glitch, code, or hack...
Same applies with Celebi and Jirachi...

As far as I'm concerned, catching Pokémon that aren't supposed to be catchable mean nothing to me.

Well, being the crazy trainer I am, every Pokémon game I own (which is all) have Pokémon that are only in Pokéballs. (with the exceptions of the Safari Zones and the like) I've caught all legendaries in all of the games with Pokéballs and only standard Pokéballs. It took me many hours and persuading myself not to toss my GBA at a wall.

Those aren't my proudest moments. Mine was catching a shiny Whismur in Emerald. That was the fourth time I've every encountered a shiny Pokémon (the first three times don't count since I didn't walk around trying to look for them.) Found a shiny Spinarak in Crystal, but couldn't catch it because I didn't have any Pokéballs! I ended up running away from it, hoping to catch it someday again. I never saw it again. I cried all night...

I was quite gleeful when I officially caught my first shiny. (and yes, in a Pokéball!)

To take pictures of Pokémon on your trainer card in FireRed and LeafGreen, go to Celedon's Rocket Gaming Corner. Once you enter, go immediately to your right (the extreme lower-right corner) and you'll see a machine there. It'll give you the option to put your party's picture in different ways, such as a black outline or a standard picture. This takes Pokédollars, not Coins, so you should have plenty of money by then to pick the one that's right for you.

You can't do it in Ruby or Saphire. Sorry.

What was the button sequence? I knew one for blue/red/yellow but that was just pressing "B" when the ball opened and holding it for two shakes.

On my Leaf Green I entered the battle against mewtwo with my articuno to try and freeze it, it died so then I sent out my Sandslash, I weakened it down to red health and it then used recover several times until it reached full health , annoyed I wanted to switch my pokemon with it being hit as soon as I sent it out so I went to waste a Poke' Ball on it so it would kill my sandslash but it actually caught it, I was suprised because it was at full health with no status ailments.

New rare find-ok so it's more of a catch than a find, but I caught the 3 legendary birdies from Fire Red with Poke Balls... and they weren't asleep, poisoned, etc... no special conditions. If I didn't know any better, I'd say the Poke Ball on this game works like an Ultra/Master Ball lol

This exact same thing happened to me! Shiny Whismur, met at Rt. 116, caught with a Poké Ball. (only thing I had ^^;) I've also caught a Shiny Natu in Sapphire's Safari Zone, and had the utmost luck of running into Latias about 5 minutes later, while I wasn't even looking out for it! =D

Well. Shiny Swablu, Lv18, met at Route... I dunno, but near Rustboro. And I caught Articuno in LG after 15 times of restarting the game and using Ultra Balls, and catching it with a Great Ball. O_O;

One time I cought a Snorlax lvl 50 with a ultra ball and it had full life. I was just messing around when I threw a ultra ball real quick and I cought it!

Truth. I just recently had a rather nice catch-Zapdos with an ordinary Poke Ball! Yes, I used the legit method of throwing multiple balls at it. It took 87, yes that's right, EIGHTY-SEVEN Pokeballs, but I caught it finally. The mission-to catch all 3 legendary birds from Fire Red using ONLY Poke Balls. Mewtwo would be ANOTHER story all together.

I'm really good at getting legendaries down to almost 1 HP and catching them with Pokeballs or Great Balls. In Leaf Green (when I knew where it was) I had caught Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno with a Pokeball. I caught Mewtwo with a great, and got Entei, Raikou, and Suicune in Pokeballs also. (I used the training method, and yes, I really did restart the game three times just to get all the legendary dogs from Johto.)

In Sapphire, I managed to get a shiny Rayquaza in a Pokeball, which was my rarest catch ever. Groudon and Kyogre where in Great Balls (I played my friend's Ruby to get Groudon, same with Latios). Lati@s was captured in Pokeballs.

There is no anounced nintendo event for Celebi.Although I used an action replay to get mine and caught it with a great ball.But my rarest catch would be catching one of the legendary birds in leafgreen (can't remember which because it was a year ago and my game got deleted) with a poke ball.I brought it's health down to 1 (with False swipe of course) it had no status effects and I accidentally threw a poke ball but I caught it on my first try! I wish I had that luck with Lugia in Silver because when it has only one hit point and it's frozen I keep chucking ultra balls at it but I never caught it.

My rarest catch would be a Latias in a poké ball. It was SO wierd. I found it around the sea, and I threw an ultra ball (1 HP) and it didn't even wiggle once. Then I found it again (in a short time, too) and threw a poké ball. it wiggled Thrice and was caught! to add to that, my Girlfriend caught a Chimecho shortly after, and named it Ocarina after it's cry. Something, huh?

I don't have any super cool shiny legendaries in a crappy Poke Ball. I guess my bag has been I have a knack for coming across rare Pokes rather easily. I got both male and female Raltz within about 5 minutes, I bagged my Bagon on my sixth wild Poke encounter in the back of Granite Cave, and then caught Chimecho after a few minutes too. Feebas? Mine=Entei with a Pokeball, and Rayquaza with a Great Ball. The only other "rare" catch would be Chimecho and Feebas, but Feebas doesn't count once you find it, and Chimecho... I have not seen one since my first copy of Sapphire *I'm on my 5th or 6th btw, and I own two copies now lol*
I was lucky in my Ruby, I got a Chimeco like my 5th time running in the grass. But my other rare catches are:

I actually think that a shiny Koffing is rarer than a shiny Groudon, since it's not possible to save in front of a Koffing and keep battling it. Shiny ubers are overrated.

On the topic of non-shiny rare catches, the first Ralts I pulled out of R102 in Emerald had a flawless Special Attack IV. Not very rare, but meh, if we just gloat about our shinies, this thread loses its point and becomes a duplicate of the Shiny Discussion.
