depends on what game your playin. Some games got batteries that run out from being used with cheatin devices

My yellow game got deleted for no reason, my cousin turned it on and he said "whats this meant to mean?" I had a look and it said something, I cant remember now...something about my game had an error or something (and trust me, ive never used a cheat catridge in my life)

Yes, I did lose it all once..
It was with my pokemon red version, I must've held down certain buttons while turning it on. And of course without knowing it my saved file was no where to be found:(.
A sad day that turned out to be, oh well stuff happens!

No. I am lucky enough to not have lost a game but once in Pokémon Blue, I got through the Rock Tunnel and got the 4th badge and then was in the process of beating Team Rocket in Silph Co. but my GBC ran out of battery...:'(

My stupid sister overwrote my silver game...>.<
I had 248 pokémon...and never got to see 250...

Oh yeah,I think when you push certian buttons the game kills your old save file...I think I read it in the instruction thingy.

The Pokémon Games can erase automatically - some glitch in the stadium games. Crystal's battery RAM is a lot more reliable., and has backup (which automatically copies itself back into the main cart's save area).

I once lost the entire cartridge. Does that count?

I bought Sapphire, and played it for ages. Then one day it just disappeared. I searched all around my room for it. All the places it could have been, and then places it shouldn't have been. I couldn't find it at all.

So I went and bought Ruby as a replacement. :p

A few days later, I find Sapphire sitting at the foot of my bed . . . exactly where I'd looked tons of times.

The save was intact, though, so I suppose I don't have too much to complain about. :p

im very very protective of my team and cartridge, my team has been around since red and blue and have moved up to crystal and they still exist

my stupid gameshark SP won't use codes I put on it...
it says they are corrupted and to re-enter them... which doesn't work...
when I use them anyways, the screen turns white and it makes a weird glitchy noise...

Two days after I had completed the pokedex on red version it got washed. I still can't believe how rotten my luck was.

I never lost a saved game, I think because I never try dumb 'pikablu' cheats, or other made up things.. and I don't use a gameshark..

I was playing my Sapphire version with my Game Shark SP and I had my Regirock’s toughness almost all the way up, and all his beauty, cuteness, smartness, toughness, and coolness went all the way down, for no reason. I felt really really really bad and it took really long to get there, but then on the day that I lost all of that I got it up really high again without using the Game Shark, and I’m never going to use the Game Shark on my Sapphire version or Ruby version again.

My blue version went through the risk of having caught a missingno. I couldn't save my game so I was basically stuck on my initial trip to Cinnibar Island. Then I was stupid enoug to think that making a new game would fix it. I later fixed it by opening the cartridge itself up and readjusting the internal battery.

I also lost my Crystal version numerous times, but I always end up finding it again after like three months. XD

Other than that, I never lost any game, but I do have the tendency to restart my games whenever I'm bored. I did that to my Sapphire game last week...I have no shame in deleting a game with 198 pokemon and undefeated battle tower record. XD
