View Full Version : Support Pokemon Fan Universe by getting PFU hosting

I am still deciding on whether to host or not but if people are interested, I'll probably start hosting to support PFU. If I start hosting, people will get:

-cPanel (pretty much all of the goodies CPanel hosts give will be here, btw the skin is a cPanel 6 skin but cPanel will indicate cPanel 8)
-PHP
-MySQL (I'll let you guys decide whether I will set a specific number of databases or simply kill the meter)
-CGI

I'm not guarenteeing support as I'm not the most reliable person (most students aren't) but I will try to help people out even through it shouldn't be necessary after your account is setup.

There are a few things that hostees would have to agree to:

http://www.servermatrix.net/terms.html
http://www.servermatrix.net/aup.html
-I reserve the right to suspend or terminate an account for any reason without advance notice (shouldn't be a problem)
-You forfit the right to to take legal action against me under any circumstance (shouldn't be a problem)

That is probably a bit redundant but I wanted to make the last two things clear. Btw, for the ToS and AUP, be sure to replace ServerMatrix with Pokemon Fan Universe when reading it.

Is anyone interested in supporting PFU? If you are, I need help deciding on how much space/bandwidth I'm going to give and at what monthly cost so please tell me how much space and bandwidth you want and what price you are willing to pay monthly.

Cool, sign me up. I need something like that.

BTW, how much memory and bandwidth do I get from this?

I don't know, it is what my host has and if you ask Haruka, you will find that it works well anyway. My favorite is the ionic skin. ^_^

I am thinking about hosting. Please tell me how much monthly and I will need 50 MB. Peace out!

Quite a bit. Just tell me how much you want and what you want to pay a month and I'll tell you whether or not I can do that (I probably could).

My site uses a lot of bandwidth.... I would have to say 500GB a month and 10GB space is minimum requirements.

Looking at your site at ASPHost, I'm not sure how that is possible. Your host probably uses the 95th percentile which can say that a site that uses 5GB of bandwidth uses 500GB or even 1,000GB. I think you're being lied to at your current host.

Nope, that is what i needed when i hosted it myself but i was getting server problems so I just moved it to 1ASPHost - unlimited bandwidth - but i want a server that crashes less and supports PHP

This is meant to support Pokemon Fan Universe, not give out hosting to every pokemon site until the sun. ^_^;;

Here is a screenshot of cPanel. If you look really closely at the sidebar in the picture, you will see that cPanel is 9.1.0 and PFU has used 9GB of bandwidth so far this month. lol
