As part of bringing Pokémon music back into the American industry, our community admin, Steve, and his PPN alliance with PIRN (whose webmaster is also named Steve. XD) has allowed me to post this here at PC. Please assist us in this.

Everyone deserves Pokémon Music, not just have it limited to Japan!

Now, those who've listened to PIRN (http://pokewatch.nick15.com/pirn/) may notice the ultimately large music collection. Those who've heard really good tracks from the TV Show... you may find half of what could be there, is, well well, NOT there. You've just got rips of music themes from the shows and games, and all that fluff. And I'll note that the game music is all the way in Japan, and some tracks you hear there are also Japanese music. And over here, it just so turns out that you can't buy any of it because it's all the way in... yep, you guessed it, Japan!

Enough of this rant-like talk. To get to the point, AMERICA NO LONGER GETS ANY POKéMON MUSIC CDS!

What do we have? A bunch of Pokémon anime tracks, from the movies, and (lamely) Pokémon 3: The Ultimate Soundtrack - which if you listen to, you'll find that the season 3 track release is exactly like it, with the exception of a few tracks. Evidently, the dub producers weren't into hiring anymore singers, and only the opening theme and ending theme were actually done. And yet they aren't released. Not one song. Maybe a few, but they're rips and Japanese songs. No other scores, game music, etc. In fact, the FireRed and LeafGreen OST - not out over here. In Japan, yes. In America, no.

What can you do?

NEVER let the budget savers get their way. If Nintendo treats us so differently about a franchise, someone needs to react.

In case you hadn't noticed, they haven't been distributing CDs for, like, 4 years... and it's not like they've written a lot of songs~

hmmm
10 - 15 songs per movie.. new songs every 'season' and, not to mention, all the older stuff that was never released outside of Japan..

Yeah. I hate it when America thinks it's so important and leave us out! Try surviving in hot weather with no snow (Except Kaputar and other mountains and possibly Canberra)! ><

Besides, I highly doubt anyone will care about this thing.

Happy Dude, might I note that every release of a Pokémon album has come around the whole world? If America produces them, they're bound to go to other countries.

Happy Dude

I guess.

But i'm not signing becuase Australia is not included and America is leaving us all out not just Aus.

Online petitions can be voted for more than once per person, so no one really cares about them.

Sorry, Jake, but Internet Petitions do nothing to change minds of business executives.

I'm afraid i'd have to agree with jon ^^;
It's nice that you're trying, but hundreds, or even a couple of thousand, signatures wouldn't be enough. They'd have all of the import costs, cost of employing new staff and distribution costs, so knowing that a couple of thousand people may buy them wouldn't encourage them to set up a whole new sector..^^;

Probably if you could get a million signatures they'd do it...

but who's to say they're not the same person signing a million times?

Claire

Exactly -it has no guard against multiple voting, and even giving an e-mail address is optional ^^;
An exec. receiving a petition from online with a couple of thousand names on, none of whom can be checked, won't, i'm afraid, encourage them to launch a whole new range of CDs which would cost time, staff and money ^^;

Trust me in England I can only remember one single that was released at number ten in the chart and it sucked it was as good as the crazy frog (but not as popular) and anyway the songs sucked in the programmes and the movies were'nt the best thing I've ever watched either

(It's stated in the rules that I'm aloud my own opinion so thats it)
