Recently, the East coast is at threat for a another hurricane. Will it damage your home?
It's time to discuss about it. Please tell how you feel about this. Remember, no Flaming!

My dad said, we may get a lot of rain and some wind, but that's about it. I'm not all that worried, I mean me, my mom, and my best friend went to Shop-rite in Hurrican Floyd! So it can't be any worse right? I mean accourding to the dinosaur (that's what I call my dad XD), he said we won't get hit that hard, and if I get in risk of flooding, I'll go to my cousin's, she lives on a hill so she can't get flooded ^^

nope^^ I've already been hit with my one hurricane for the year, I don't think it was even a hurricane, just a tropical storm...
But Isabel is a cat.5 hurricane, that must cause a lot of damage, I don't think I can comprehend an amount of damage that high...

They rate hurricanes like tornados? I never knew that. XD;;
Is it just teh southeast coast, or is it all of it? Will, I dunno, let's say, New York get affected badly by it? I hope not. o.o;

I live in southwest Florida, so there's a good chance we'll get hit by something. Although the weather people say Isabel is actually causing it to not rain for the next week, so this hurricane is currently making the weather quite enjoyable.

I don't claim to be a meteorologist, but I always assumed that a hurricane couldn't reach Illinois. And, while it is true that it 99% most likely can't, when I see the radar, the projected path comes awful close. I am sure these are just some rainstorms that will be blown our way when Isabel breaks up, but it is pretty freaky.

Kyosuke

Ya, Friday (which is today) is the day it is suppose to strike, but not as bad as people said it would be. Its starting to get really winding now...

September 19th, 2003, 01:11 PM
Well, I got hit early this morning (3 AM) when the power went out. I was so worried that it'd be out all day (I don't wanna miss the new ep of Pokémon on KidsWB at 4PM) but thankfully, the power came back on a little over an hour ago, cable included :D
The only thing happening now is that its a little windy... Although there are some minor storms that I've had in years past where the winds were stronger than they are now... but that isn't saying much :p
