Well as you all know for the past few years the U.S. has been making some unique quarters for each of the 50 states. Well I just thought that maybe we could have a thread to chat about the quarters. How many quarters do you have? Do you have the special Wisconsin one? O.o just a few thoughts to started a discussion.
I Have all of the quarters except Alabama >.<;; That's all I need

I have them all, and I am awaiting Kansas' arrival in the fall/winter. What special Wisconsin one? I do not believe anything is odd with it.

Hmm...Wisconsin...the cow, the cheese, and the banner that says "forward", right? I collect coins but I'm ashamed to say that I know nothing of the special wisconsin quarter.
I own all the ones that are out so far; though there's not much more to look forward for the rest of the year. West Virginia is just a bridge, and Kansas is just a buffalo =/

The special Wisconsin Quarters have an added leaf to them, people are actually paying up to 500 dollars for that one 25 cent quarter, it's VERY rare

Yeah, but I never understood paying 500 dollars to get something worth only a quarter...and by the time the price jacks up, then they'll all be way old, or no longer of the living...It just seems kinda weird to me.
Somebody please explain the point...

Coin investments usually outperform the stock market, actually. I've laid down triple digits for coins a couple of times, and it ALWAYS pays off. Gold is red hot right now, and even though I can't afford any gold coins (cheapest range >$50 for bullion, >$150 for vintage ), I know that its price rises dramatically. I tend to trade in silver, usually early 1800s quarters, half dollars, half cents, and such, and what I pay for them is usually a fourth of their value in as little as one or two years. I suppose it's just a very lucrative hobby ^_^
Though coin collecting is for the rich though ._.; I have lots of coins, but nothing spectacular.

That would be the Bicentennial Quarter, which was only made in 1976 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the USA's independence. There was also a bicentennial Kennedy Half with Independence Hall on it and a bicentennial Eisenhower Dollar with a bald eagle on the moon with the liberty bell...a bit abstract, but kind of cool looking o_O;
