Since Lina and Hanon have had their turn, would it be fair if I did Luchia's song, "Splash Dream" next? Or would you rather me do a different one?

I do take requests, but if it's a song I don't have an "English" version of, that might take longer b/c I have to:

1. hunt down an MP3 of it (if I don't have it already)
2. find a translation of it
3. listen and write words that have the same rhythms as the originals and carry a close enough meaning as the originals (which means a lot of stopping, writing and restarting)

Wow... that's a lot of work... But yeah, I think it would be great if you did Splash Dream now, since we would then have the songs for the whole trio.

By the way, I'm looking into starting a roleplay in the Other Roleplay forum based on Pichi Pichi Pitch. It's probably going to be a next generation thing, without the characters from the actual series in it. (Or we might use Luchia and co. as supporting characters if it would make sense for them to be there, but we'd probably just NPC them and not make them major parts of the story.)

Hm... that might be fun, but the thing is I don't want there to be arguments over who gets which character, and I don't exactly like the idea of creating new mermaid princesses, since the original seven are classic pieces of the show. Though a new villain is a little different, so it's essential to have that.

I'm thinking of the main characters of the roleplay being the children or grandchildren of Luchia's generation. Maybe some (let's say three out of seven) of the kingdoms were under attack again, but by this new villain, so the baby princesses were sent to live on dry land where humans could take care of them. Time past, and they grew up thinking they were humans, until the day came that their natural mermaid parents decided it was time for them to return to the sea and use the power of their pearls to stop the villain. The other four princesses took on human forms and were sent to find the three that were raised on land so they could fight together and stop the villain. But finding them would be like looking for a needle in a haystack, and then once they find them, what is the chance they'll believe the shocking truth?

How's that for a plot?

Ooh, I love role-playing so I'm all for that idea! The plot that you mentioned sounds great to me; I can't wait to start! Do you think it would be a good idea to discuss our characters a bit more before we start it, though, so it'll start off smoothly? As for the roleplay, it would be a good idea to discuss our characters here first (And to keep the roleplay thread from being cluttered, perhaps we could ask members to post their sign up sheets here.) The seven princesses would be the daughters of the ones in the anime, and I'm probably going to throw in some other characters like Kaito too. I'll give my character information later, when I've got more time. Now I must leave for a bit.

I was hoping that we could get creative enough to write our own songs to use for our characters, but if all else fails, that's a good last resort.

I'm probably going to be the daughter of Hanon, and one of the princesses who was sent to dry land to be raised. I'm guessing Kayleigh wants to be Luchia's daughter, so I guess I'll save that spot for her unless she says otherwise. ^_^

I have a cool idea...the new mermaids have sparkling pearls that are colored like other jewels...so the new trio would be something to the effect of Opal Pearl Voice, Aqua Pearl Voice, and Emerald Pearl Voice

Bio: Although her mother was saddened to see her leave, Maya was one of three princesses sent to the surface, where she lives on a beachfront house in Florida. Outside of school and working at the local refreshment shop, she enjoys combing the beach for treasure...but when she finds an emerald pendant on the beach one night, little does she know that it will lead her on the adventure of a lifetime!

Personality: Marina is shy, but very friendly and kind. She is not easily angered, but when provoked, things can get a little ugly. She cares greatly about her friends and will always support them. She enjoys swimming, surfing, sunbathing, and taking walks on the beach.
Mermaid Form Description: Like her mother, Hanon, Marina has very long blue hair, blue eyes, and a blue tail. Usually, the only item of clothing that she wears in this form is a light blue bra.
Human Form Description: Marina's human form, unlike that of her mothers, looks nearly identical to her mermaid form. She keeps her blue eyes and hair, but of course she has legs instead of her tail. Her favorite outfit, which she usually wears, consists of a light blue T-shirt, blue jeans, blue socks, and white sneakers. She also wears a seashell locket which houses her pearl, but she usually keeps it tucked inside her shirt. However, she does not yet know the pearl's signifigance.
Voice Form Description: In her Idol form, star-shaped ornaments appear in various places in Marina's hair. Her outfit looks nearly identical to Hanon's, consisting of a blue sleeveless ruffled dress, and blue ruffled boots and gloves.
Bio: Marina is the daughter of Hanon, and the princess of the South Atlantic kingdom. However, as a baby, the kingdom was under attack, and for her safety, her mother gave her a human form and sent to her to dry land, where she washed up on a beach near Miami, Florida. A young couple found her with her locket around her neck, and raised her as their own daughter. However, they never told Marina any of this, and she grew up believing they were her real parents. She developed a passion for swimming, and became quite good at it. She thinks she can hold her breath underwater for a very long period of time, though she is actually subconciously breathing, as she is actually a mermaid.

Anyway, I'd love to role-play as Luchia's daughter, as long as that'd be okay! That's what I was hoping to do in the first place. I've filled out most of the form, and I have it saved now, but there were still a few things that I was unsure about so I thought I'd get your opinions before I posted it, just so everything will work out and make sense.

First, I wanted to know if all three of our characters will know each other before they find out that they're mermaids. (This will help determine where mine will live, considering her kingdom is in the North Pacific Ocean, and Maya's and Marina's are in the Atlantic... kinda on the other side of the U.S. @_@; Unless they were all three sent off to the same place, but that still leaves a few blank spots in my mind.)

Also, about her pearl... Are we going to go with EmeraldSky's idea of them having the sparkling pearls, or will mine have a Pink Pearl like her mother?

I think we're going with the sparkling pearls. Also, I don't think they're going to know each other before they found out they're mermaids, and if you don't mind, it would probably help if Luchia's daughter was one of the mermaids who was only recently sent to land to find the others, meaning she grew up in the ocean, but that's your decision. ;)

That's fine with me! I guess that my character will have the Opal Pearl, then... I'll go ahead and post her profile so that we can go ahead and start the role-play. I'm sorry that it took me a while to fill it out; I actually have been working on it, but I haven't had many chances to come online and type up a post today. There are still a couple of things about her that I'd like to work on, but they can be finished later!

Name: Takara (I guess that her last name would be Doumoto, considering that Kaito is her father.) And yes, that is an actual Japanese name for girls, lol. It supposedly means ‘treasure’… I was just in a rush to think of one, and that was all that I could come up with.
Age: 16
Kingdom: North Pacific
Pearl Voice: [Pinkish] Opal
Personality: She's very friendly and outgoing, and easily makes friends. She loves to help others, and will never back down if someone that she cares for is in trouble. She possesses interesting traits from both of her parents—Her clumsiness and slight absent-mindedness at times obviously come from her mother, and her feistier side is from her father. At first she may come off as just another frivolous teenage girl, but she’ll later prove that she has a very strong heart and a lot of courage and determination.
Mermaid Form Description: Her appearance in this form is unique, because she resembles both of her parents in different ways. Her bangs are a bit spikier like Kaitou’s, and she has the curled side bangs like Luchia does in her mermaid form, though they’re a bit shorter, as well as the one stray hair sticking up from the top of her head. Her long hair is a more coral color, and she normally wears it tied loosely in a low ponytail. (It’s similar to Sango’s from Inu-Yasha… That’s the best I can think of to compare it to. It’s just a bit wavier and flowing.) She wears a very light pink seashell bra, and from afar her tail appears to be white in color, though it actually has many different iridescent colors sparkling on it, similar to her Opal Pearl. Her arm and tail jewelry match her top—They’re a very light pink color, as well. She always wears her seashell locket in every form, where her Opal Pearl is enclosed.
Human Form Description: Like her mother, her human form looks quite different from her others. Her hair changes to a more strawberry blond color, though it looks more golden than red. It is the same length as it is in her mermaid form, but she wears it up in a higher ponytail, tied with a white bow, so it appears shorter. Her curled side bangs have changed, and now appear more like Luchia’s, except slightly shorter. She resembles her mother the most in this form, especially in the face and hair, and has a cute, innocent look to her. Her outfit usually consists of a coral and white striped halter-top, light blue shorts, and maroon knee-high boots. She also wears two opalescent bangle bracelets on each wrist. (I drew her in this outfit several times, and I have to say that it looks much cuter than it sounds!)
Voice Form Description: Her face and hair look the same as in her mermaid form, just with added jewelry and accessories. Her outfit shimmers with different colors, mostly on her flowing, layered skirt. Her strapless top falls down to her shoulders, and is pretty simple in design with the exception of some ruffles on the sides. She wears gloves and boots similar to Luchia’s. The main color is mostly white, but several parts of the outfit are accented with different opalescent colors, giving it a rainbow-like appearance similar to her pearl.
Bio: Her parents raised her in her true form, as a mermaid, in the North Pacific kingdom. Because it was never attacked by the mysterious villains, she was not sent to live on land like the two mermaids from the other kingdoms. She remained at her home until several years had passed, and the day finally when she was sent to find them… a nearly impossible task, but one that she was determined not to give up on.

I hope it's okay! I tried to do my best on short notice, though it didn't help that I'm sort of picky about these things. =P I've drawn several pictures of her that I could scan and show you both, just for fun!

Yeah, that would make sense! (Though, Maya and Marina would have to learn theirs since they didn't grow up as mermaids... unless they just automatically know them or something.)

I attempted to write my own song for my character, but failed miserably. XD I'm not so good at those things--I need a lot more time if we're planning on doing that, eh heh!

As for the songs, I was really hoping that we could write our own when the time comes to use them, but since that might be hard, we may just use your translations. We'll see how it goes.

Marina doesn't know any songs yet when the roleplay starts. She has her pearl in her locket, but she just considers it a good luck charm.

I actually really like the idea of us writing songs for our own characters, but it would definitely take me a while to come up with anything decent because it seems like every time that I sit down and try, my mind goes blank! Maybe I will by the time we actually have to use them!

When the mermaids are in their human forms, don't they simply have to be submerged in water to transform back into their mermaid forms? I know it's a dumb question, but I'm still a bit new to this series and I haven't exactly figured everything like this out. x_x; I just wanted to know how my character should explain it in the story.

Anyways, I discovered Pichi Pichi Pitch last summer when I went to Japan. I was just flipping through channels at the hotel, and it was on. Since it was in Japanese, I didn't understand it, though I already fell in love with it because it was a Maho-Shoujo anime. I asked someone what it was called and she said Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch. When I got back home, I searched it, and found some subtitled fanslations to watch! And that's pretty much it.

I stumbled upon Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch in an Anime Music Video and I loved the songs (I even found a great German website with lots of videos) and fell in love with it. I love Luchia and Kaito the best, and then comes Hanon. When Hanon and Luchia argued in the second episode it was hilarious to watch. The Japanese Seiyuu are great too, especially for Hanon and Luchia! :P

Just right-click and save them to a special map named Torrents. Then go here: http://www.bitlord.com and download the programme. It's a programme that downloads these kind of files. There's one file with several files in it. It's also much faster than eMule or any other file-sharing programme. It concentrates solely on downloading this thing and searches for as many users as it can find.

Oh, and in this series mermaids are only female! The only other character who's the closest thing to a sea creature that I can think of would be Hippo, Luchia's guardian penguin. XD

I would probably like the fansubs more, but I would probably be better off sticking with the DVDs since my computer is weird, lol. It takes it so long to download stuff!
