Some of you may ask, What is MS Paint? Well MS Paint is the ordinary Paint program you have on your system ^^ I'm aware of the fact that it's no Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. But I find the program to be very helpful and it can help you make the most snazziest styles! <3 Paint is my most favourite program ever, so if you're a fan of MS Paint, why not join? X3

Until a year ago, MSPaint was the only program I had. I still use it a lot. *hates Photoshop* It rocks for making sprites and sketching and doing lineart.

This is an awesome club. I'm a huge fan of Paint. My avatar was edited up (not very much, but a bit) in Paint. Whenever I sprite I use Paint (even though I have Image Ready and Photoshop).

Nope. That was hand drawn and colored in Adobe Photoshop. The Text, however, was Paint.

Why does everyone use photoshop to draw? Paint has a draw tool too. You do a basic sketch, put darker/thicker lines using the curve and line tools and then clean it up. Then color it. You get the same look.

Well I dont, I either use mspaint or Paintshop pro which IMO is much better and easier than a difficult, complicated program like Photoshop.
Unfortunately, these days I depend on PSP to do my art stuff, to do the final lineart, the shrinking and the compression. (plus PSP, you can undo as many times as you want unlike Photoshop XP)
Still, mspaint pwns all, especially when you know tricks.
In fact one of the finest works that could be created on mspaint are located through here (http://doctordoom.phpnet.org/portfolio/pixel/medievalcastle.jpg)
This picture is better than anything you could do in Photoshop, but it looks like it took FOREVER. (oh yeah, I should mention MOST of it was probably made in a program like mspaint, the paths look like they had noise added to them)

Paint is like the best for Pixel art, but if you want serious GFX then you need the PSP and PS like programs.

Well...my excuse is I use Photoshop merely as a cooring tool is all. Other than that I could care less bout it.....and here's an example of something I did in paint.

Eheh, now who wants to see my very first pixel art? This pixel art resulted into me doing more and more until now.

It all started when I was still on Neopets, I normally scanned my drawings, but then someone requested me to draw a Geisha for her 'quick', at that time my scanner wasn't working and I accidently said 'Yes, I'll do it' instead of 'No, not right now'...since I was so used to saying yes. I panicked, 'How was I going to do a geisha?' I asked myself, I was loafing about on my desktop just...pondering, until I opened up MS Paint. I had decided to attempt the Geisha on it...I was wondering how I was going to do it...then I discovered the line tool. At the end I finished it, the person was proud of it, I was proud of it ^.^ It motivated me to do more pixel art...and that's how I became a pixel artist...

Signomi, I can't get over how amazing your spriting is...
I do mine all freehand, with my mouse, because I honestly cannot use the line tool to save my life. The only things I can really draw are animals and pokemon... I can't do trainers to save my life...

this is the earliest piece of pixel art I have... I used that line tool for the palm trees, the rest was freehand...I think this is two/three years old. Annoyingly, the only version I have is the jpg version...

I was looking at the pencil tool today...I've also been observing other peoples' styles o.o; So I decided to try out a new style..-shudders- Freehand.
