Smarty_Arty is back with a new comic

[Smarties-chan]

This is my second try to make a sprite comic and I am already aware of my bad grammar so you don't need to mention that. Another frequently asked question is 'why are you putting the text in a panel under the comic?' it doesn't take a genius to figure that out does it? The answer is quite simple actualy, if you put the text in speech bubbles you'd have to make countless comics to give the reader the information he/she needs, that's why I prefer the 'panel system'.

You might also be wandering why there aren't any of those status bar thingies on the battle screen, that is because I want the battles to look animeish.

Hmm its different. I haven't seen this done before. Well anyways text under the panel (I don't like), seems sort of like a R/S thing, the battle system seems pretty basic. But other than that its nice, 7/10 highest grade i've given a pokemon comic in awhile.

Well, your comic is technically good, but your chars need more personality. I mean, this is a kid of what? 14 or something? And he's still speaking completely formal...try to give the different characters different speech patterns to make them more interesting. Oh, and I do agree that speech bubbles are your friends. It gets kinds of tedious to keep shifting your eyes between the box at the bottom and the screen where the actual action is going on, but I think that I've expressed these opinions earlier. Ah well, keep at it. ^^

Btw. The new part is up and it will be the last part with the 'panel system' I know the comic isn't funny and interesting yet, but it will be it might take some parts before it will, but trust me it will get interesting, my brother already gave me a few ideas when I was playing around making trainer sprites.

I didn't really like the speech bubbles filling up the whole screen so I made them transparent, otherwise you wouldn't see much of what's going on. I'm glad you like the transparent speech bubbles. A stamp of pwnage? *Goes to update his first post*

I haven't got to the interesting part yet, the beggining mainly introduces some of the characters. I'll work on the next part tomorrow, and I'm sure it'll be up tomorrow =) If I don't make the next part tomorrow I'll make two parts instead of one. The next part will introduce some of the villains. Well, I don't have anything to else to say so how about you just go check out a more interesting thread?
