Hello!!
Maybe you remember the old version of Pokémon Orange Islands (http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=40484&page=3), was were being maked by Numus, Ra and me, unfortunately we decide separate our projects so the Orange Island(pkArcoiris) was divided in two hacks: PkArcoiris (Rainbow-> Numus&Ra) and my hack: Pokemon Naranja

Story
Well the history... the same that in the anime, after the Indigo League, Oak has a mission for you:
Receive the GS-Ball from the Professora Ivy in the Orange (Naranja) Archipielago.
But when you reach those wondederful islands you will want to keep for training.
The adventure has just begin...

In the Orange Islands there are a little diference: the Pokémon from the Continent (Jhoto y Kanto) have different colours than the OI Pokémon...
...so in the OI you can see a lot of Tropical Pokémon with extrange colours.

By example, look the bizarre Vileplume of the right, based in the anime.

Other differences include that you, the protagonist, could answer to the others NPC, writed in blue in the game.

And you will depend more of your Pokémon, so there will be adventures in which you will need your pokemon attacks. For climb rocks, freeze geysers, even discover secrets...

Hack is cool but might be cooler with normal-colored Pokemon and without Fake and 4th genaration Pokemons.
There's also some bugs:
1. Pallet Town is called "Battle Tower"
2. Ash looks like FR/LG Character. Change his sprite into the Ash sprite (you have to make your own sprite of Ash)
3. The Picture of Pidgeot shows when I'm exiting from building.
4. There's abig building south of Tangelo. And there's a sign next to this bulding. And If you you talk to this sign You obtain the Lapras. You talk to it always as you want. And you can get unlimited quantity of Laprases! And I filled all my boxes with Laprases! How stupid! DELETE THIS SIGN!!!
5. Some texts are still in english.

i suppose i translate the spanish version into english, but is not sure because it bring many errors, when i correct them i upload the whole gba file compressed to a server because many people said that have errors, but to the most people the hack run well.
By the moment you cant speak with prf.Ivy the girl of the pokecenter of valencia said that to you, but i suppose you didnt undestand it....:(

first get the patch and get a FRESH ruby rom maybe not the us version because it looks like its german or something .so you extract the patch to the folder you have your game in and and then extract the ips patcher then click apply atch then with the navigation bottons go to the folder where you kept the patch and then coose it then go the the folder where you kept your rom then click apply or ok not sure then it says patch inserted or something and your done.

Ehh, i don not why, always the people have problems patching... jeje ^o^
The errors that U say arent normal they are because your own rom is uncorrectly, you've to patch in a clean ruby rom.

For introduce the codes the Oak´s assistant you have to click in "cheats", "cheat list" and "gameshark" in the visual boy emulator. Ahh.. and you ve to put the codes separately. All of this is because this rom brings old pokemon that the HOENNdex dont recognice and, i dontnow the script for turn of the nationaldex.

By the moment there arent a walkthrough, because then the game would be so easy.. jjeje i put some traps in the game, but you can guide with the orange TV episodes

Now, you can not get cut, i put before a map of limits of the beta1...

About being in spanish there are already a guy who is helping me translating the game, i can speak both languages too, but translation without errors are a hard work.

Ive finished the beta 1.2 with all the errors of the beta 1 corrected and with more trainers and events. This beta is no more longer than the 1, both last the same... well... not exactly... in the beta 1.2 there are a new adventure that a lot of people was asking for it... but is hard to discover, jejej.. well i put here the IPS file (in a ZIP) I hope you enjoy it!!

the patch is for the usa_ruby rom, not the german xD. If this way of patching is too hard for you, you could try to put the patch in the same folder that the rom and with the same name that the rom (the ruby_usa rom). I hope this will help to all of you

Sergio, Pokemon Naranja is not Hack of the year for no Reason! It's the best hack I've played forreal. You have make a great job in the places, buildings and everything are really looking original and Pokemon sprites are pretty cool. I hacked the game a bit and went to the Cuave de CRISTAL (or however is that called), man it's just great. I found just a few bugs. Btw the next 4 badges... I think you should change them a bit, I mean they're looking like Pokemon if you understand what I mean. Of course I don't know the following story even if I understood some things in Orange related to them (If you knwo what I mean)
For me it's the best hack ever, you have my congratulations, please keep it up!

Drew, just download the IPS program from here:

Then download the US Version of Ruby, download the file Sergio uploaded and put in the first place the Ruby and in the second the file from Sergio and click Patch! then you can use your Ruby as Pokemon Naranja. ;)

People are having all these weird problems playing it. Firstly you have to make sure it's a US version of Ruby and not a European or Japanese one. I downloaded a US version off of Limewire a few minutes ago. Then open the Orange game zip thing and click on the IPS thing. Select the Naranja (or however you spell it) and then select the Ruby file. Open Visualboy Advance (they've made a new BETA on their website) and click on the Ruby file. To make sure you're playing the actual Orange game and not Ruby it should say in the first words you read from turning the game on if it is or not. if you've played Pokemon a lot then you'll know.

I can read minor spanish, and this hack looks really nice, but you need to work on the Pokemon a lot.

*For those people who have problems with patching*
VBA now has an automatic patching thing, just rename the ROM and ips Patch the same name. (So maybe naranja.gba and naranja.ips)

If it doesn't work, then check your emulator to see if it's turned on. It should say something like 'Automatic IPS Patching' Make sure there's a tick next to it. If it doesn't work, then you'll have to patch it the hard way.

The onyx cave is north west just before the island where you cant go further there is a water which is dark blue where you are supposed to not surf and within there is light blue water where you can surf on. its the same trick as reaching the first gym by walking trough the trees. at the water there is an entrance to and then when you are at the middle blue water there is another entrance to that darker water again which leads you to the entrance. I hope you understand it a little its hard to explain.

***** rom are fine.If youve read the pinned topics in gba emulation on there.You would know you have to change your save type(on the emulator) to flash 128k and eeprom to make most of the pokemon games work.

the second image shows a script who tells you the text of the boy near the front of the Valencia's pokecenter.

but the vileplume isn an error
it says that you saw a vileplume but she use the somniferus attack and then you fall slept and youre "carry" to the pokecenter
this is a trick for going from mikan to valencia faster

this hack is the best hack I've ever seen, I think I like it better than the real games. I took the liberty of using the GameShark and using the Walk Through Walls code to get passed the barrier in the Onix Cave, I love the crystal Onix, it's freakin awesome! I agree with this part of the post totally. It is only meant to be a beta but Sergio really needs to clean up some bits like the trainers for example.

There should be a grassy area that contains no trainers at first so you can train Pikachu a bit and catch a few Pokemon. Then the next area can contain some simple trainers for experience gaining to warm you up for fighting Tracy in the first "gym".

The first few trainers are ridiculously difficult! I mean the second trainer in the game has a Dratini and a Vaporeon for crying out loud!

Please Sergio make the first few trainers a bit more realistic in the next beta.

The pokemon quartz is being developing succesfully by Baro, the only thing who he has to finish is the pokemon icons from jhoto, because the sprites are already inserted, in only a few days he will release the fully final pokemon quartz version with, all new pokemon, maps, texts, etc... Teh pokemon ambar has been cancelled because the creator (Goce) was too busy "webmastering" the SP web

I think that's the way it is... when you win a battle the trainer sprite if you notice they aren't right in the middle, in emerald ,for example, when u win a double trainer battle with a saylor and a tuber or anyother else, they say their thing before you return to the game, and they are placed in the right part of the screen no in the center of the "circle",and I think that's what happening there...
