As some of you may or may not know, many artists are coming out with Greatest Hits this month. There are, in fact, three.

Nirvana - Sliver - 11.01.2005 I'm not entirely sure if this is a CD or DVD, but I get the feeling it might be both. [<-- I'm most definetly getting that one]

And I don't know if any of you guys are interested but
The Beastie Boys - Greatest Hits - 11.08.2005 I'm pretty sure this is a CD.

Limp Bizkit - Greatest Hitz - 11.08.2005 No comment

Okay so the latter two are for those with different tastes in music, but it's really a slow month for releases that actually contain new songs. <3 Hopefully next month will be better. But, enjoy! ^^

Nirvana's Sliver is selections from the box set, plus 3 extra tracks. Not a GH set, just to clarify :)

I totally noticed all the Greatest Hits things... they're coming out in time for Christmas, I believe. Mmm... I don't really buy GH discs because I'd rather buy the actual albums, and listen to things as an album rather than a bunch of singles... the Blink one is just out, though.

Well... to me Greatest Hits albums exist for three things:

1) For fans who just got into the band and don't want to buy the older albums so the artist/band makes a Greatist Hits album so that the fans could easily enjoy all the good songs in one album.
2) For collectors
3) For laundering more money

don't you agree? XD

That`s the whole point!

I`m gonna get the Blink 182 GH CD, because I only own two of their CD`s, neither of which has Adam`s Song on it, and that CD is hard to find in a small town for some reason. I love that song, so I must own it. That and a few other songs on that CD interest me.

Beastie Boys Greatest Hits CD? Sweet. I've been listening to them since I was born. XD

Number 2 is me, too :P. I like buying older albums and listening to bands evolve. XD
