Plot


A shadow, that’s all it was, a shadow of a Pokemon long gone, asleep until the three legendary birds awake once again from their slumber. Before team Cipher, this Pokemon’s history was unknown…its very existence was non existent to everyone, apart from one team. This team was dedicated to the capture of this mysterious Pokemon; their name was even related to it.

They called themselves team Unknown, relating themselves to the Unknown mystery of this shadow Pokemon. They worked day and night searching for it, devising ways to capture this powerful Pokemon, unwilling for it to slip through their grasp again. Yes, there was another time in which this team had come into contact with the shadow.

It all began when a young boy spotted a black mist gathering across the mountain of his small village in the land of Ore. Curious, the young boy climbed the high mountain in search of seeking the source of this dark mist, and there gathered in a heap at the bottom of a gorge in the mountain pass, was the shadow of a slumbering Pokemon. Dark Lugia, a Pokemon so shrouded in mystery that its presence had never been known until this point.

Excited, the boy rushed to his village, spreading word of the mysterious Pokemon at the bottom of the gorge. Here gathered a large group of villagers, who followed the boy to the point in the mountain pass where he had spotted the shadow of Lugia, only to find that the Pokemon had disappeared without a trace.

The boy pleaded that they believe him and begin a search of the mountains, but no one took notice of his words, casting him and his stories aside as they descended back to the village. As the villagers left, the boy raised his head to the sky and saw that the black mist had all but gone.

Unwilling to let this Pokemon escape his grasp, the boy grew older and as he did so, he gathered a large group of believers. Some had even claimed to have seen the black bird themselves. They formed a group, a group dedicated to the capture of this great Pokemon.

Team Unknown was finally formed.

Elsewhere in the land of Ore, trainers are beginning their Pokemon journey, with a wide choice of Pokemon. Excitedly they make their way to the lab to claim their starting Pokemon, all eager to begin on their way to the Pokemon league.

Unknown to them, Team Unknown has begun their advance on Dark Lugia, tracking its every move until they find a perfect chance to take their prize.

Will our trainers find themselves caught up in the whole ordeal and if so, what will they do, aid the Team, or rescue the Pokemon.

The choice is yours.

Dan came out of a cottage looking for something to do .He had his pokeball gave by his Dad in a package he got on his tenth birthday. He looked around but nothing was to be found his see moving grass he runs and throws the poke ball and it comes back with a Pokemon in. Dan opened it and out came a Torchic.He looked into the sky a machine was flying over to a forest. What the says Dan the forest he continued. Dan ran to the forest seeing that the machine has landed he went closer and saw a shrine saying some thing in a weird words Dan pounded what that was. As he did so he heard someone, He ran into a bush and saw 2 men in a black uniform talking about something
He tried to make out what they were saying, "The Boss said that Pokemon would be here" the other man says, "You believe there is a Pokemon like it"
He Replies "no... But imagine the riches" "You know we wouldn’t get anything"
The other says back "oh I didn’t think of that" they walked of"
Dan got up and wondered what they where going on about all of this stuff about a pokemon.Torchic come out of its poke ball. "Hi Torchic" Dan says. Torchic starts repeating its name. Dan picks up torchic and runs off.

at the same time in the next town mewtwo was walking down the lane when hes father rang him on his cell phone 'son i have some thing for u so come home as soon as u can cas u deserve it son' 'mewtwo said nothing and put the phone down on his father and reach in to his pocket and pulled out a pokeball,inside that pokeball was a torchic which he recived from his mother on his tenth birthday,he swore to her he would treasure it with all his heart as she had passed away a few years ago. mewtwo looked up at the sky and headed back home to see what his father wanted to give him.

I got to the next town where mewtwo lived.I ran looking for a bench.I sat on the nearest bench seeing mewtwo walking down the path.I wonder who was that. i got my breath back and let Torchic go out of my arms.I grabs some bread out of my bag and split it in half and gave half to Torchic.

mewtwo saw dan in the distance sat on the bench, he saw that dan was also a torchic trainer ,he carried on walking down and passed dan when all of a suden he pokeball opened up and torchic was released, torchic appeard to be over excited to see another torchic,it flutted over to dans torchic and started to talk to it, mewtwo looked bewiled at this as he had treind his pokemon well and to only do what it was told.
'i m sorry for this ,torchic is'nt usually like this, i dont know whats got into him lately? anyway i'am mewtwo...'he said as he went to collect his torchic.

im Dan and nice torchic" Dan said " well i guess you better be going.... wait can you show me to a place i can rest in this town" Dan Asked I picked up Torchic and said happly " its ok about your Torchic "

'yeah sure i'm passing the pokemon center anyway , so what brings you to waterview town?' mewtwo asked dan as once again torchic leaped up and started to swark again.' torchic what is with you?, i have no idea why he acting like this ? hes been strange for a few days ever since this news report on some strange goings on over seas? do you know anything about it?'mewtwo said as he tryed to clam down his torchic.

"well*thinks of the 2 strangers in the forest* nothing... its starting to get dark we better get going" said Dan as he put Torchic back in the poke ball "oh and i came here because i think im lost but i now have a pokemon i better go off getting pokemon well i guess" he says

'well that wud be the best think to do around here well come on ill show u the pokemon center but i cant stay i have to get back home i have some things to sort out one of them being torchic!'says as he started to walk ahead of dan,'hmm it looks like its goning to storm tonight?'mewtwo whispered to him self as he looked up at the darkering sky.

'are you feeling ok dan? come on you need to rest!' mew two looked around to see if he could see what dan saw,but there was nothing.* he looked around*'hmmm somethings not right?,mewtwo thought to him self.the two trainers carried on walking as it started to rain,' oh boy. torchic come back now!' he said as he rise his pokeball to his pokemon, with a blinding red light torchic had vanished into the ball.'come on dan it over here !'they carried on walking till they could see the pokemon center in the distance.
lighting flashed and thunder sounded as they entered the center ' hmm i'll stay awhile till this storm passes over i think 'mewtwo said to dan.' and i can see if any one here knows why my torchic is acting strange?'

I started to feed torchic with some bread from my backpack. i stoped and thought about that flying pokemon and the forest.Dan got up than sat down.Torchic got puzzled by my actoins as i thought how silly i was doing that but never the less i sat still,i thought again about the 2 guys in the forest and what they where saying.Torchic do you like bread Dan said. Amazingly Torchic used flash and lit up the place like a christmas tree."Good job Torchic we can see again" Dan sayss happly and gets out a pillow.*out comes Nurse Joy and appagises for the black out.

*the torchic nearly hit it but when it got close it got pushed back by a cloud of dust as 2 Mightyenas started to attack* Dan ran out though the road as the unknown U attack hit mewtwo.

First of all, you might wanna wait for more people to join next time before you actually start the rp. That way people will all start at the same time and don't have to catch up later.

Second, using * is not aloud. I know Strider already told you once, but you decided to ignore him so now i'm telling you. Might I add that it is also against the rules. I don't know if it will lead to a ban if you continue (I honestly don't know o___O) but if its against the rules then it must..

Also you have to post four or more lines when making an rp post. Less then four lines is also against the rules. (though once in a blue moon I tend to slip up with only three *cough* >.>)

Oh, also scripts aren't aloud either. Unless they are really good (I'll let Strider take care of that *dies*)

I'm DCB...I know they get suspicous REAL easy, don't worry, they just want to get to some pokemon that is a Darkish color......I had all my lvl 55 pokemon stolen form them after I snuck in their base...Proffesor Birch lended me a hand by giving me a Charmander and Cyndaquil.
So...nice battle..I see you're really skilled at battling.

The Story..


I was small and knew my parents but i havent saw them for 5 years so i lived 5 long years alone in that cottage but i knew that my parents death wont by a normal cause or murder but it was sorta murder
the nite i last saw my parents

my Dad: i got this good deal with the cheif my factory of a poke ball containing my dreams and riches a poke ball so advanced no pokemon could stop it you must come with

my mum: but our son he cant fend for his self hes only 6

my dad: hes alseep by morning he wouldnt know we where gone come on

my mum: but what if an intruder...

my Dad: dont worry we will get this place locked ok lets go

my mum: ok then

They exit through the door locking it

thats all i remember about that nite apart from having a bad dream of my parents in cages and this evill like pokemon attacking them but thats just a childs nightmare
well thats most of my story oh and the next day

they never got home i got excited to see them when i work up but they was not there i saw the place was wreaked and a door open and paper everywhere i cleaned and live in peace untill now...
thats the end of my story

The rules clearly state that you have to do the RPing in writing, not make it into cheap script form. Nope, she's not on right now but she'll see my report when she comes and then she can judge the situation for herself. Plus, you still have an asterisk type writing thingie right over there *Points to the beginning of DragonsCanBite's latest post*, the symbols around it are different but it's still against the rules and besides, you're still posting way too short and that double post of yours was completely against the rules, just edit your previous IC if you want to add something. Honestly, take a look at the rules and some RPing guides because this...it's the worst I've seen on this forum for...well, as long as I can remember. -_- The four-lines rule isn't absolute but that doesn't mean you can post loads of cheap one-liners. Plus, you've made no distinction between speech and actions, you've described no setting whatsoever and you've gone and placed pictures in throughout, which just makes it look seriously spammish and is easily as bad as if not even worse than, the asterisk approach. <_<

Really, take a look at any RP started by an experienced RPer (Say...one with a few hundred posts at least) and you'll quickly find that none of the good ones contain this kind of kindergarten illustration mania.

Wild LVL 7 Vulpix appeared.

DCB says Go Cyndaquil!

I thought to myself :"These kind of pokemon aren't supposed to be here...thats weird"

Cyndquil use Quick Attack but don't try and make it faint! I just remebered...I have 20 great balls...

Cyndaquil uses Quick attack and takes it down to 4/31 HP. The Vulpix can barely stand up, I thought "Perfect, this is it!"

Vulpix Supisingly manages to use tackle and takes Cyndaquil down to the ground with a punishing hit. 4/20 HP

Woah, that was good attack power. Okay, here goes!

DCB threw a Great Ball at the vulpix...1...2...3...I shouted with joy "Yes, caught it!" Thats one for the Pokedex.

DCB says to Dan: "That type wasn't supposed to be here...I have a weird feeling about this, but anyway...."

I handed Dan 4 Great balls
"Look on the bright side Dan, you get a former Gym Leader thats gives you items."
...I think to myself "Being a Gym Leader was my 1st goal, the goal I was aiming for 2nd was beating my cousin, Lance....which hasn't been completed yet...." Anyway, if a Vulpix appeared, imagine what other Pokemon could appear here.

IC: "Oh. It was fine with me but since you don't want to battle now, it's ok. I'll wait till later." I said to the boy. "Nice catch. So. is it still ok if I join you two?" I asked, however, something had caught my attention and I turned around. A shuffling sound from a nearby bush was what caught my attention. I started walking towards it and suddenly a figure jumped out of the thicket. A small and rather unusual looking dratini with ,instead of it's usual blue skin, a shapphire coating. "My that's interesting. Go Bulbasaur." I called. Bulbasaur, who was at my side, engaged the wild Dratini.
1st Battle. Bulbasaur lvl.9 vs. Dratini lvl.8 (Bulbasaur has some Hi-tech moves.)
"Bulbasaur, Use vine whip to jump and to wrap Dratini."
He did as ordered and used his vines to throw himself up into the air. As he glided, he lashed out his vines to try to capture dratini. Dratini reacted quickly and dodged it as it used a slam attack. "Bulbasaur! Let him hit you." Dratini slammed head on with Bulbasuar. "Now. Sleep Powder!" Though Dratini recognized the attack, it was late too react and was put to sleep.
I reached into my sack and took out a black pokeball with a yellow U.
"Ultraball! Go!"
I tossed a ultraball and with three jiggles, it clicked capturing the pokemon.
"Alright. We caught A Dratini!" "Bulba Bulba!" Bulbasaur cheered. "I hope you weren't hurt too bad now Bulbasaur." "Bulba Bulb." He motioned his head left and right. "It makes me wonder. Why would a Dratini be doing deep in this large forest? We should go back to the guys." I said as we went back.

A few minutes later, Bulbasaur and I met with the two trainers again.
"Hey guys. You know what? I caught a Dratini. Though it makes me wonder why a Dratini would be doing in this forest. Did you two see any unusual pokemon?" I asked.

Okay, we're almost there. I thought "Dan sure does want to get out of this forest. First a Vulpix then a Drantini....something must be cuasing these pokemon to scurry away from their normal places..." I said to Dan, "Hey, Dan, after we rest in this city, we could catch more pokemon in these woods. Stengthen up our team of Pokemon, ya know what I'm saying?"
Dan kept on dragging us along like dogs on a leash. We where almost to the city when...."Ah, crap, Team Unknown..." Three members popped out of the nearby bushes, all of them with 2 pokeballs. One ready to throw, one on their belt. The middle Team Unknown member says, "Our boss told use to take away your pokemon and take you in for questioning...but we imagine you'd like a last chance first...so we'll battle for you and your pokemon.

Battle Five: The Battle for Freedom

"Go! LVL 7 Unknown! An Unknown, U-shaped", popped out of the pokeball. The left member said, "Go, LVL 7 Nosepass!" A very ugly looking rock pokemon with a giant nose popped out of the pokeball. The right member said "Go, LVL 6 Unknown!" A-shaped Unknown popped out of the pokeball.

The Middle Member with the U-shaped Unknown said "I'll take you, DCB. We have some unfinished bussiness."

The Right Member with the A-shaped Unknown said "I'll take you on, Dan, and I know your name because boss and me took out revenge on your parents, heh."

The Left Member said "Shaddup George, you weren't supposed to tell him that. Bigmouth." He sighed with a tired look. "Okay, I'll take on the last one."

I thought, "I feel sorry for George right now, cause he's probally going to get no mercy from Dan..."

IC: "A battle huh. This will be perfect. Hm. A Nosepass? What bad choice." I said to the Left Team Unknown Memeber. He gave a grunt. "Let's go Bulbasaur!" I shouted. "Bulba!" bulbasaur ran up and got ready for battle.

Battle #5? Bulbasaur lvl.9 vs. Nosepass lvl.7

"I'll let you start it off." I said to the Team Unknown member. He smiled and called out a Thunder Wave attack.
"Heh. Bulbasaur! Jump and Sleep Powder!" I shouted. Bulbasaur lept up and threw spores around Nosepass. Nosepass dodged it and sidestepped away. Bulbasaur landed on the ground and was then trapped within rocky spires. "Shoot. A Rock Tomb attack. Bulbasaur. Use Sunny Day!" Bulbasaur sent out a beam straight up and sunlight had intensified. " The Unknown member issued a Nosepass to use Zap Cannon. Nosepass charged the Zap Cannon and unleashed it. It flew directly to Bulbasaur. "Nice try!" I shouted. "Bulbasaur, now, Use Solarbeam!" Bulbasaur shot out a large, bright beam of sunlight that destroyed the rock spires and pierced through the Zap Cannon, flying straight towards Nosepass. FLASH!!! Nosepass had fainted. the Unknown member gasped and reached for his second Pokeball. "I'm ready." I told him.
Bulbasaur gains a level! Lvl.9 -->Lvl.10

OOC: For reference, My bulbasaur has solarbeam and most of the different moves because he is the child of two other Venasaurs. :P Also, which pokemon am i to fight next?

"Go, Unknown U!"

Battle 5 Continued--DCB's Battle:
Cyndaquil LVL 5 vs Unknown U LVL 7

The grunt said, "Unknown U, use Phycic!" I commanded, "Cyndaquil! Dodge it and use Quick attack! Then use flamethrower!" The Team Member gasped, and said completely amazed as the Cyndaquil used quick attack, "No! It can't be! Only Lance uses that move! How'd you get it?!" I said, "Heck, you sound like you're in shock...heh, its easy, I'm his cousin...all those times I was with you're team and you didn't even try and find that out." As Cyndaquil hit him with Flamethrower, he said, "Dangit! DCB! I will not let you do this! Unknown! Use protect!" I said, "Heh...nice try...Cyndaquil, quick, jump over the barrier and use Fireblast! And just so you know, I got that from Lance too...."
The grunt said, "You have a endless pit of Pokemon Moves don't you?"
As he said that, Unknown U fainted.

Cyndaquil grew to LVL 8!!

Battle 6?(I think?) Dratini lvl.8 vs Nuzleaf lvl.5
"Once again, you can start." I said to the Grunt. He snorted and called out a Taunt attack. "Oh shoot. Dratini, dodge!" I commanded, however, Draini was submitted to the Taunt. It could focus on only attacks now, no defensive or healing techs. "Darn. Ok. Dratini, try using a Flamethrower attack!" I shouted. Dratini, however, looked back at me with confusion. "Aw crap. i didn't take any time to teach it that and it doesn't know that move from the looks of it." I mumbled to myself. "Dratini look out!" Star shaped rays flew and struck Dratini. "Oh no are you ok, Dratini? A Swift attack or the effects of a Nature Power?" I thought. Dratini stood back up and shook its head. Use Thunder Wave and run behind him." Dratini obeyed and did what was told. The Grunt chuckled and motioned his Nuzleaf to jump up. "Now! ICE BEAM Attack!" Dratini, however, did not wait and shot a blue beam straight up at the gliding pokemon and it made contact. The Nuzleaf became a blue ice sculpture and fell down. The Grunt moaned and returned his pokemon.
Dratini gains a level! Lvl.8 --> Lvl.9
"Good job. Hm I didn't exect you to know Ice beam but it's all good." I said and pat it on the head. Bulbasaur joined in too and smiled. Dratini jumped up and down. "Let's see how the others are doing." I said to the two pokemon.
