Why does my saved data always erased? Please help me!

Why does my Pokemon Emerald saved data always erased after beat The Elite Four? Even I can save my game and load it again perfectly before beating elite four. This happen not only on my Pokemon Emerald, but also on my friends.

Please help me. Thank you.

Is this a ROM or an actual cartridge?

If it's a ROM, google up a save patch for Emerald.

If it's a cartridge, is it a legal cartridge or is it pirated?

It's a legal cartridge. I can save my game perfectly after beating elite four for first time. last week, after I beat the Elite Four, I wait the Pokemon Emerald Credits. After my GBA SP show the word "The End", the my Pokemon Emerald restarted automatically. When I want to load my data, The Pokemon Emerald told me "The save file has been erased due to corruption or damaged. The game can be played." And there are only New game and Option.

Since you are not using a rom or an illegal game, have you used codes/cheats? I know codes/cheats could corrupt your game to the point where many crazy things could happen. If none of these things have transpired in your game play then you might just have a messed up game. Maybe not letting it restart automatically, is an idea.
