Lati@s, mytholgy, stats, catching it

this forum is dedicated to the laty's (well thats what my neighbour calls them) and several things...

what did u do when u ran into them?
what ball did u catch them with?
how did u catch them?
is it still in ur team?
what level is it?
what item is it holding, stats, moves, etc.

when i ran into it, i was just like - omg, wat the hell is that? it's the pokemon from the intro! and i threw an ultra ball at it, (why did i expect that to work?) and of course, it failed. then it fled. but later on, i did catch it with an ultra ball, and i used a golbat's mean look (pretty stupid seeing as i have sapphire and could have used a sableye...) and wasted about 50 ultra balls trying to catch it, and praying that it wouldn't use psychic on me, lol. it's still in my team, it's level 91, it knows thunder, psychic, return and dragon claw. it's holding a pretty useless shell bell, and it's faster than all of my other pokemon, even my level 98 Sceptile!!!

okay, u can also discuss other stuff about the laty's like the mythology and who their father really is.

Latios.. One of me favorite Pokemon.. ^o^

When I ran in to 'em, I wasn't really surprised seeing as I had the strategy guide and had read about 'em, so.. XD

I didn't have the proper stuff to catch it, though, so I let it flee, then I plundered my extra Ruby for its Master Ball so I didn't have to use the only one left in my Emerald.

Then it took a while for me to track him back down, but when I did, I just used the Master Ball.. X3

And ever since he's been in my regular party.. Looks like this..

latias is one of the best. i mean, it's a non uber uber slayer!!! so is latios though. the stats are really messed up though. they said latias has the same special defence as latios but i compared mine to my nieghbours lv 100 latios and it's special defence was way higher!!!

i taught him about EV's and IV's and he did practically the same thing as me. he has good EV's but his' IV's are terrible...

I used a common method to find Latios, I used a Master Ball from a different game, since I had already wasted the on I was given, right now its in my emerald, at level 50, serving as one of my frontier party pokemon.

And that's about it..

Actually, I think I caught my Sapphire Latias with an Ultra Ball. *lost the cartridge so can't remember for sure*

And I'm pretty sure the pronounciation is the second one you mentioned.. XD

Ooh, latias is so kawaii ^o^ I never caught it though, mainly because I have pokemon ruby and chose latios in emerald (at that point I hadn't realised how uberly kawaii Latias actualy is)
I caught latias in emerald when I was on my way to fetch the giga drain TM. I had saved my masterball for the sole purpose of catching Latios, so I chucked a master ball at it ^_^ Haven't trained it though...
