your recoloring is good, but don't forget:
1: Save it in Png (incase you didn't)
2: Look at the outlines, don't forget to recolor those! ^^

Just to let you know, that Lugia one was not a sprite, just a resized picture only recoloured in a few places. Please try to keep all of your examples as sprites :)
