This don't have anything to do with PC or the sites and I am guessing you are talking about a web site so I will move it to WD.

Well, if you wan't to make a real homepage and your own layout then you have to do it on notepad using html code, but if you want just a basic site then www.geocities.com or www.freewebs.com are pretty good sites that are for little listes. :)

1. PHP is another kind of internet language that is VERY useful...not very many free hosts support it though...
2. hmm... well... it is quite a bit but i've heard of sites that are a gig or more O_O

As a web-master I would say 100 megs is good for you. I only use about 100 megs, not counting the media. And my site gets about 3000 hits a day.

The best way to find a host is to search on a special directory. My favourite is http://www.clickherefree.com/
Just put in what you want, and then it brings up a whole heap of things. If you don't know HTML, my site has a list of programs you can use without having to know HTML: http://patamon.netfirms.com/webmasters/programs.htm
