I would just like to know how to get shinys in the GB, GBC and GBA RP Pokemon Games, or if it is even possible. It's a question that's been keeping me up at night...wait, I ALWAYS stay up at night....0_o
And has anyone got any shinys?
Thanks - C4P

Finding one is quite rare. And yes, it is possible. Just keep searching and you will find one eventually. ;)

It took 48 hours, but I found a shiny Cacnea in Sapphire at the desert. Right after, I erased my save, though. Bummer.

Trust me. Shineys are rare. (except for that Red Gyarados in Gold/Silver/Crystal) I've played over 300 hours on my Ruby cartridge, and I have yet to find a shiney!
Though things are different for me in Emerald. I found my first wild shiney within the first 35 hours of gameplay!(a shiney Whismur) 5 hours later, I also got the Pokérus! (and that's supposed to be harder to get, though I did manage to get it twice...)
Shineys exist in the G/S/C and the R/S/E series, but I don't think they do in R/B/Y since the American games weren't "enhanced" with the Game Boy Color. (Green version in Japan was; went to a used game store and tried it; couldn't understand a word...)

Yeah, only 1/8192 Pokemon are shiny. You have to be pretty lucky to get one.
