ZOMGFTA to be scanslating Pocket Monsters Special

It's like... the best thing sinced sliced bread.

ZOMGFTA (ZOMG Fruit Tree Alchemists) (http://www.zomgfta.com/) is one of the popular sites that have been scanslating the FMA manga and keeping us up to date with the FMA manga (up to Chapter 55). But now, they're having a new side project. And that's scanslating the Pokemon Special Manga!

The good part about it is that the awesomeness of the Pokemon Manga will be spread even more to FMA Manga fans and maybe the age old stereotype will soon be broken by this magnificent site. I really can't wait to see some quality scans from them. =D

In any case, volumes 1-9 need to be scanslationed. Viz (and whoever did Volumes 8 and 9) really screwed the Manga up. The rest by Chuang Yi isn't too bad. But since they take out the cussing, scanslations of them must also be made =P

What Website will you be using to host the pictures, Niko? (There's, like... 4000+ pages in total (from 1-20, and 21'll be out soon, too).) We'll most likely be using Image Shack.

XD In all seriousness, we really do appreciate the offers for help, but we honestly don't need it. Several people have offered to help in the project, and we're thankful and we love you all, but Cynthia/CSakuraS and I just prefer to work the two of us. This is how we've been working for almost a year now, and it's clear that we can work quite efficiently with just two people. Any more would make things complicated and jeopordize consistency. Sorry, please don't take it personally. ^^;;

Anyway, we're just doing volumes eight and up. We have had people asking where they can get the first seven volumes, and while I don't quite agree with compromising Viz's sales, they are probably harder to come by nowadays and I'm sure scanlations of the first seven volumes would be much appreciated. :3

Ash_Pokemaster, the work is in progress. If you want the first seven by VIZ, however, I believe you can download them at LimeWire or .Torrent.com. ^_^

Dude, I've got chapter 91 all scanned and cleaned up, CSakuraS has done translations for 91 and 92, and I think I've got... 92 and 93 and most of 94 ready for scanning already. CSakuraS went to the trouble of sending me volumes 8 and 9 to scan, using her own money, and I have no intention of letting that go to waste. We are, at the very least, going to get these two volumes done, and we have no plans on stopping after that.

The only reason I haven't done any editing on the chapter yet is because I have a big essay to do by Sunday. >.>;;

Very nice! In Jesse-chan and mine scanning project, they'll actually be two versions. Translated Japanese Special, and edited Viz/Chuang Yi Special. Here's a sample of ours. The edited version of Chuang Yi. =P
