What do you guys do when you carry an egg in your party? Do you cycle around like mad or do you just get on with things. I usually cycle back and forth, or a certain route.

I have a circuit I always take on FR. From Fuschia, up the boardwalk, left at Lavender town, through Celadon and down Cycling Road.

On Ruby I usually go up and down on a long straight in Slateport city. I know when to turn around because of the music so I can do something else while hatching the egg.

Hmm... In my Ruby I just explore Hoenn, catch more PKMN, search (not HUNT) for shinies, enter contests, battle trainers, so lessay, my waiting is active... Or sumthin' like 'dat. xD In my Emerald I do the same things, yet however I spend most of the time on the Battle Frontier, especially in the Factory, Dome & Pike, hangin' out in there is sooo fun... xD 'Bout cycling... Yes, I mostly explore Hoenn cycling when waiting for egg hatch. But I don't cycle liekky a madman. xD

In Ruby, I used to ride back and forth from Verdenturf to the end of Mauville. Then I got lazy and used the mudslide trick so I could do something else while waiting for my egg to hatch.

I didn’t hatch any eggs in Emerald since I only got that game for the Battle Frontier. But people should know about how having a Pokemon with Flame Body in their team cuts the number of steps needed to hatch an egg in half.

Put a random Pokemon with Flame Body into a team, carry 5 eggs, and off I go, cycling into mud slides with sticky tape holding my directional pad :D

In Emerald, it is easy. Add Slugma to your party and ride the Mach bike from the Daycare, west to Verdanturf, then all the way east past Mauville to the shore of Route 118. Repeat. Every full rotation is roughly 250 steps. I do this while I watch TV or talk to the mrs/kids and in a few minutes the eggs hatch. To hatch a Snorlax takes about 25-30 rotations.

In FRLG I ride down Cycling Road and then fly back to Cerulean. Repeat. That is about 400 steps each rotation. The more time you spend on CR the faster your egg will hatch.

Unfortunately it only works in Emerald, not Ruby or Sapphire

Oh, that would explain it. XD I still haven't gotten Emerald :(

With Togepi I just carried on playing the game. It hatched in Sevault Canyon.
