You must be Torkoal_7 at Smogon since you posted the same exact team there.
Well, I guess I’ll give some advice here.
That Gyarados is super slow. It can’t even outrun DDtar. At least give it around 144 Speed EVs so it can outspeed Gengar, who can pose a threat to other members of your team.
Also watch out for Suicune, who is a very popular phazer and takes physical hits well. Magneton won’t like switching in on too many Surfs with its low Sp. Defense.

I like Gyarados rather to be able to switch into Megahorns and whatnot better with a more defensive EV spread, but I guess you're right. Going to give it more Spd then, though 92 Spd EVs should be enough, as Gengar isn't such a large threat for this team anyway (Celebi, Swampert and Metagross can all stop it dead cold).
Also watch out for Suicune, who is a very popular phazer and takes physical hits well. Magneton won’t like switching in on too many Surfs with its low Sp. Defense.
iirc Suicune is 3HKOed by Snorlax's Double-Edge, but yeah, it does cause problems. =/

@Synchronize: Toxic really sucks on offensive stuff. Zapdos can just use Rest (if it has it), and/or the opponent might pack a Heal Beller. Therefore it won't help.
@e4prosucker:
Your Snorlax set doesn't work, it will get 2HKOed by anything physical. It lacks the Spd and the Def stat to take advantage of the Atk boost it would get from Belly Drum IF it manages to get it in. But 99% of the time, it won't.
ie.
Pokemon used physical attack! >50% damage
Snorlax used Belly Drum! But it failed!
OR
Trainer withdrew Pokemon and sent out Pokemon!
Snorlax used Belly Drum!
Pokemon used physical attack! 50% damage. Snorlax fainted!
Resttalking Lax works just fine.
Magneton needs HP Fire for getting rid of Forretress.
Swampert is my only p-hazer, so taking off Roar would mean that random stat-uppers have a field day.
And yeah, Celebi passes SDs to everything other than Magneton.
Also, lol charmbreon. Metagross says hi to it, though lol who uses it (other than you) anyway?...

Plenty of people use charmbreon. The only thing on it that is my invention is HP Electric to kill Tauntridos.

yet I haven't seen any of those in months. btw, hp electric is what makes yours worse than the standard charmbreon, as almost no one uses Tauntadros nowadays anyway, with the rise of Zapdos usage...

Which makes me lol, since that makes it a useless Umbreon against anything not-Gyarados.

My damage calculator is messed up. :\
It obviously doesn't. Umbreon would need like 100 SAtk EVs AND a +SAtk Nature in order to even have a chance at 2HKOing most Gyaradoses...which is lol.

I was pretty sure it didn't. So Tauntdos kills it anyway. Plus Gyara's popularity has gone way down.

Which is exactly what my charmbreon has. Modest nature and 100 SA EVs. This 2HKOs Gyarados if it gets an average of slightly less than average per hit. The average is 53% damage and it can only go as low as 49%.
e4 sent out Charmbreon
random NBer sent out Tauntridos
Tauntridos used Taunt
Charmbreon fell for the Taunt
Charmbreon used Hidden Power
It's super effective (53% damage)
Tauntridos used DD
It's ATK and SPD rose
Charmbreon used Hidden Power
It's super effective (53% damage)
Tauntridos fainted
This is how HP Electric works.
I am a ghost on the Internet. I have a dynamic IP address, a large alias ring, and the speed and stealth to avoid almost any threat. I have internet viruses at my disposal, along with NSA class hacking skills. If you want to take me on Synchronize you may, but I am warning you. If you play with fire you will get burned.

It's dumb to try and 2HKO a Gyarados with Umbreon, because now you have less EVs for Speed and defenses, which is what makes Umbreon actually useful
And lol. Your the one who's already gotten burned over your idiotic comments on what you think is good pokemon strategy. If you had any kind of hacking skills at all, I think you'd be intelligent enough to type in
www.smogon.com
and actually learn something about Pokemon.

Who in the hell would keep it in for you to HP [Electric] it. Why would it DD if it's about to be KO'd? Are you sure even set the defences and attack right, I mean you are e4?
Hacking has nothing to do with him hunting you down.:\

The above response shows you know very little about hacking or are trying to over simlify your words until they don't mean what you meant. Slightly off topic, but, seriously if someone wanted to hack you they could. Someone being, someone of my meager hacking skills or less.

Dude, this is NOT how it works. Only a retard would leave Gyarados in when he senses it might be 2HKO'ed. So I guess you would leave it in. You can't Mean Look because of Taunt and it will not use Dragon Dance, but switch out.

February 11th, 2006, 12:56 AM
The only possible way that could be good is if you mean look one on the switch, and then proceed to kill it. And it still takes up room for speed and defenses. You can't sacrifice a moveslot and a hundred ev's and a +def nature just for a single pokemon, which, btw, is drastically dying out.
