He can use it with Freewebs but he will need to pay to transfer it to freewebs

you need a domain host, after you get that, put the DNS of your host in your domain panel, wait for a day or so it should be done...

In cPanel, go to addon domains or parked domains, whichever you're using it for (parked points to root; addon points to a subdirectory), and put it in. Then find out your nameservers from your webhost and enter them in your domain account information.

You have to pay to be able to transfer a domain for almost EVERY webhost. If you registered a domain at www.domain-4free.com than it's only redirect which means you do not need to transfer.

I don't think he wants to transfer it. If you want to use it with an existing website, and Freewebs won't let you, then change hosts. Make sure they support domain hosting, and then put their nameservers into your domain CP.
