View Full Version : Artsy stuff :D

Since my other art thread is quite a bit dead...new thread time!

Oekaki...mostly I was trying out Shi Painter, since I'd never used it before. That shiny thing's supposed to be a moonstone - I know they're described as being black in the games, but prismatic glowing ones make for better effects. :P

As far as I know, these next few can go into this section...I hope...

See, I'm taking a printmaking class this semester, and we've been working on collagraphs...these were originally supposed to be test prints, but I really like how they turned out, especially the first and third ones. These will probably also be one of the only pieces of abstract-ish art that'll ever be seen from me, heh.

I love how this one turned out...especially since it started out as just a sketch in one of my sketchbooks (original sketch here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/nepryne/bunnybow.gif), to compare the two).

As I said on chat, the bunny is awesome! ^_^ It looks so soft, and I love the cross between a cartoon-like look and realism. :) The Nidoran is also extremely cute! :D I've never used Shi before, I'll have to try that someday...

I really like your prints, too! Nice use of texture and colour. :D They look so professional!

Awesome work as usual, Cowrie! ^_^

Thanks for the comments. ^_^

New thing:

I was experimenting with things, as my internet was down all last night and I needed something to do - that, and I had a sudden desire to try drawing a slakoth. I blame that on playing Sapphire. Done with charcoal pencils on some brown paper bag-type stuff.

I must admit that your work is astonishing :P I am especially blown away by your ambrosial, brown and white rabbit. The shading is, indeed, impressive as is the technique in which you used to render such realistic fur. Your slakoth is probably one of the most creative renditions that I have seen so far. Each one of your pictures are phenomenal in their own special way. Exceptional job, keep up the good work.

I even had a problem trying to find any flaws, and since none caught my eye, keep practicing is all that I can say that will probably help you progress as an artist.

I must be losing my touch >_______>;;
