Viz obtained the rights to Bleach, but which network gets it is still up in the air... I hope it gets on AS.

Funimation might get it though, a PR for them said they'd get a new anime at a con this weekend.

No....please no...
I hate American dubbing. Just hate it. To a British person like me it just sounds so...cheap and fake.
Let's hope they do a better job than they did on FMA...

...you mean one of the best dubs Funimation has ever done? BTW, Viz and Funimation are two different companies, at least learn that America has more than one if you're going to shout out rants like that. American dubs aren't all bad, it's only people who think anything from Japan is perfect and that the original VAs are the holy kings of anime that can never be miscast.

I get most of my anime straight from the web as dubbed animes are never aired here, so I guess I can't really talk about dubbed anime on the whole...sorry about that.
Anyway, what it mainly means for me is no more Bleach. Bittorrent will probably close down their sources.
The FMA dub was pretty embaressing though... xP

Funi announced that they got Kimi ga Nozomu Eien today, meaning it wasn't Bleach. I don't really care if it's liscenced or not, I can still get episodes either way. =/

They wouldn't have enough money, they just dropped a lot of money of One Piece so it'll be a while before they get any big name anime.

The big three are all hurting due to the bankruptcy of Musicland, not allota money to play with right now, they lost about 6 million a peace in the bankruptcy so it could play into the decision of Lic. Bleach.

4Kids would never go for something like Bleach. Believe me, we'd have like 4 minute episodes by the time they'd finished editting. >>

Hopefully it will be like Animplex or Funimation. My problem is it is going to be the same old voice actors.

FUNimation is probably going to get it. Word from Mike( a PR for FUNi) said that this week at Megacon that a new "popular" anime would be licensed. So, if it has to go to anyone, I think they've shown that they can do a fairly good dub with FMA and even better than the Japanese counterparts from Furuba.
