Well, I guess I'll put up my art gallery. At the time of this post, I'm a freshman in college majoring in Art. However, I'm trying to draw more since I don't nearly spend enough time making art. But I'll keep you updated with my works.

Right now I'm proficient in both traditional and digital mediums, but I prefer pencil drawing most of all.

Pencil
Winged Wolves (http://www.deviantart.com/view/17699840/) – One of my most popular drawings. Like the title says, it’s wolves with wings.
Hoots (http://www.deviantart.com/view/18504803/) – A trio of owls. Because owls rock your socks.
The Return of the King ( http://www.deviantart.com/view/11791764/) – Hey it’s Lord of the Rings fanart. You’ll find a bunch of them in my gallery. This is just one of my favorites. It’s actually done in charcoal, not regular pencil.
Mythical Mothers ( http://www.deviantart.com/view/8474994/) – Dragons and griffons are my specialty. This one has both. Also done in charcoal.

Digital
O Christmas Tree ( http://www.deviantart.com/view/26436492/) - Just a quick painting I did for Christmas last year.
Fierce ( http://www.deviantart.com/view/22739755/) – Another wolf pic.
Waiting for Catbus ( http://www.deviantart.com/view/23957817/) – Hey, any fans of Miyazaki out there? ^_^

These are absolutely amazing O_O Those winged wolves are my absolute favorites. Your pencil skills are just amazing. The anatomy and shading are both flawless. You're way better at drawing than my art teacher, so =P for her X_X

Your digital art is absolutely fantastic too. No-face looks really pwning (as always there) there. I haven't seen the films where the rest of those creatures appear, but they look like the real deal ^_^

Thanks, Smarties, for being the only person to comment on my art. I guess you’re the only nice person in this forum…
Also whose big idea was it to rate this thread only 3 stars?

Anyways, I finished another big pencil drawing. This is one is really big, 20 in by 16 in.

HOLY CRAP O_O You, my friend, are TALENTED.

I must say, the subjects (wolves, dragons, griffons, etc.) never really caught my attention, even when CG'd by PROS. But your pencil works changed that view. @x; Now I want to +devstalk you. XD

<3 your pencil works. Wish I could do that. D< And I recognize Totoro! XD

Gee, thanks for the comments, everyone. :D
I wish I could post art in this thread more often, but the problem is that I’m usually busy and the artwork takes a long time to do. I’m currently working on another large pencil drawing though. I might post a few of my made-up Pokemon in this thread, but I don’t know…

You should definitely go for it! Maybe you can get into an art school. I don’t think hand-drawn art will ever go out of date. Computers can do a lot of stuff, but they can never duplicate the feeling of actually making art with a pencil or brush.

That drawing is amazing... the shading, the outlines, everything is perfect. Have you ever considered selling your art?

I have never seen anyone so talented with a pencil.

Amazing real-media work, especially your pencil detail. WELL DONE

Aww, the wolf puppy is so cute!

But the one that really caught my eye was the Griffins & Dragons picture. It was done entirely in charcoal. Drawing with charcoal is hard. Very nice work.

And I just love the tree spirits! They're so cute!

One question, though. Two, actually. Was the Winged Wolves picture done with pencil?

And if you're majoring in art, what are you planning for your career?

Keep up the very nice work. :)

Yeah, about 50% of my drawings are done with plain pencil.

I’m going to transfer to an art school this fall (Rhode Island School of Design) and get a Bachelor’s Degree in Illustration. Then, maybe if I get more money, I’m going to graduate school and get a Master’s Degree in Animation.

Well, anyways, I haven’t finished that new pencil drawing yet. I’ll have more time since I’m on spring break. In the mean time, I’ll display some of my older drawings:

Rhizz the Baby Griffon
http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/8312/rhizz7pa.th.jpg (http://img221.imageshack.us/my.php?image=rhizz7pa.jpg)
This one is soooo old. Like 4 years old. I was probably only 15 when I first drew it. @_@

Theoden
http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/2651/theoden1dc.th.jpg (http://img232.imageshack.us/my.php?image=theoden1dc.jpg)
Another rather old one…done two years ago. And it probably one of the longest times I spent on a drawing.

At the Birdfeeder

As of now, I haven't posted any of my colored pencil drawings. Well, here’s one that I did.

You were about 15 when you drew that griffon! Man, you are my new hero, I have trouble drawing people and an even harder time drawing animals.

All right, I finished the next big pencil drawing:

More than Spilt Milk
http://img476.imageshack.us/img476/7664/milk9jd.th.jpg (http://img476.imageshack.us/my.php?image=milk9jd.jpg)

Like the last one, it's a required drawing for my application to RISD. We must do three, so I have one more to go (hopefully I can finish it in less than a week X_X)

Photography is cool though, it’s a great way to capture wildlife.
Also, I’m sorry for taking so long on your request. I’ll try to get it finished this weekend.

Anyways, here’s my 3rd and final drawing for my application to RISD (which I submitted last Monday):

They are all great but I really didn't like the Return of the Kings. I loved the Mytyical mothers the most.

Well, the current drawing I'm doing is taking a while (mainly because I'm so lazy). So, to prevent this thread from dieing, I guess I'll show some of my sketches.

King Theoden, drawn while bored.

This is a 3 year-old sketch on the back of a hall pass which took about 10 minutes to complete.

Those are all so beautiful. ;;

I especially enjoyed the winged wolves(*is a wolf lover*), but all of them were wonderful. They're all so realistic and professional-looking; I'd even say they seem flawless. If you plan to go into business as an artist someday, I think you will go far. ^^

Keep up the good work. *scampers off*
