This is a thread for uploading RM2K rescources. The rescources do not
have to be pokemon. Any requests for chipsets, charasets e.t.c belong in the
RM2K Help and requests section. Please keep posting to a minimum
(including compliments and errors) so that it doesn't clog up the thread and
people looking for rescources can find what they want quickly.
If members obey the above rules, this thread can have more meaning.

Plus I want to thank Shadow for stickying this thread.

Here is a chipset with the hero's of Ruby and Sapphire and there are 7 different coloured outfits!!!!

OK, i have a problem. I am editing sprites using mspaint but when i try to import them into the charsets on rpg2k3 i get an error saying 'invalid color depth.' What do i do to fix this?

Go to file> Save As...

From the drop down menue at the bottom select 256-Color Bitmap. Make sure it is not anything higher, like 24-bit. Save it and import it and it should work.

If you can't save target as... maybe you can play it and stick a microphone next to your speakers, or maybe you can ctrl-click (for macs) or try taking music from other games. You can use the music in my game, Lunar.

Yes, use a new map. On the left portion of the screen there is a heirarchy of maps towards the bottom (first one is your game title, the next one down is a sub-map, etc.). Right click a map, and select "Create New Map." You can draw the inside of your house, and then use teleport commands to connect the outside to the inside with doors. If you need help with that, let me know.

It depends on where you want your pokémon sprites to show up ;)! You can make an event and give it a pokemon graphic, if that's what you mean.

If anybody needs it, i have ripped and put together a Gary charset, and i sprited a few extra poses, all poses except the normal walking graphics was made by me, enjoy.

For anyone that wants to replace those weird symbols (the $ strings) in the game, i was playing around with the RPG_RT.exe and made these

NOTE: If you want to use it in your game you will need ResHacker to insert it into the RPG_RT.exe file
EDIT: It has to be bitmap in order for it to work

BTW, I finished the running Hiro sprite. It's quite good! I also did blinking for both, so look for those in future Lunar releases. You can use the Hiro sprite if you want though. You don't have to ask me, just give me credit ;)

Guys im calling for anybody with pokemon r/s, fr/lg sounds (and effects) to post them here because i am having serious trouble finding them and when i do find them i cant download them, i can only stream them, and im pretty sure other people are having the same problems.
Also, im looking for nurse joy and any and all gym leader charsets.

EDIT: does anyone know if there is a program that can record what is on the screen. for instance i play my game and record at the same time and then i get a video clip of the game.

are you trying to record a whats on the screen on a ROM hack, or an RM2k3 game?

For ROMs, i suggest VisualBoyAdvance, and its under File\Screen capture...

For an RM2k3 game, open it, get to the part where to record, and press Print Screen(or sometimes F13) which is next to the Scroll Lock key. Exit the game, open up Paint or whatever graphics program you use and paste the image.

For on screen video capture:
1) Get a small freeware video capture utility... a google search should suffice. I find these don't work very well because the computer becomes laggy and the video is choppy.
2) Use Animget to take tons of screenshots. Then compile the jpeg frames into an avi file. Try Videomach, that should do the job nicely. Sorry I don't have a URL onhand...

I dont think there is a Faceset for Gary, i guess you'll have to compile one yourself if you want to have a Gary faceset in your game.

Just do a google images search for Pokemon Gary or something, and crop it to the right size. That should work!

I made a personal charset for myself, you can use it, you can use it, as long aso i do get credit, but it would be nice if you tell me that your using it, so i know.

And the rest you will have to make yourself, because I don't know of any pkmn monster sets. This isn't too hard to do- just rip the graphics from a rom and give the background a solid color for transparency. Make sure it's the right dimensions and 256 colors.

I think he means that the color conversions (32-bit to 8-bit) doesn't look right. Anyway, I just deal with it myself, so if anyone has the answer I'd like to know too :)

All the colour files in rpgmaker 2000 have to be, (according to the help file) 256-colour bitmap but when i convert them all the colour information is lost, i tried to fix it but it didn't work...maybe it would help if i new how to fix it :P

tis too complicated to explain.. just copy another charaset and copy the transparent colour, then paste your charaset over the top of the picture and fill up the right bits with the transparent colour you copied earlier.

Lol just take any old charset and take the colour in the background (can be many colours, black, pink, but usually green) then copy a little selection (if your using microsoft paint) or dropper it with the little dropper tool. Paste your charset on top and fill up the background with the droppered colour

Then load the file in Idraw. Click on the dotted box thing in the tool box.
Then right click on the backround. Click Add Color. If you do that the backround
should be outlined by dots. Then right click again and click on the secondary
color thingy. Now, open RM2K/3. Go to rescource manager and import your file.
If you did everything right, when you import the rescources, the backround
should be flashing.

all i do is load up the charset into rm2k3 and then just click on the background and it starts flashing and becomes transparent.

That's because you used someone else's chara, used the backround of another
premade chara, different program coincidentally got the transparent color right,
or you made the chara from scratch in Idraw.
This is just an approximation by the way.
