I've been wondering about this for a while and I'm surprised no has mentioned this.

Why is Webmasters' Discussion in Official Forums?

WD has nothing to do with the community itself.
So, is there an actual reason?

Actually, as far as things go for Steve (but not Kwesi), webmasters hold quite a significant bond with the community, hence why they're under Official Forums.

Putting WD under Computer and Technology Discussions won't be too bad an idea .. but Steve says that about Webmasters. Since the PokeCommunity associates with many different websites, webmasters do hold quite a significant bond with the community. :3

But those boards are for webmaster discussions in "general" aren't they? I would understand more clearly if they were dedicated specifically to the community sites and stuff like that...

It's confusing actually - but Steve merely wants it there, the staff (including Kwesi) have had their voice and said it shouldn't be there, but it's staying there as a webmaster portal and everything because webmasters are so significant.

We've been through this many times before, actually. The idea of a tech category's even been brought up. Steve doesn't want it moved, though I think it'd make much more sense.

Meh .. apart from Steve keeping the Webmasters placed in Officials, there aren't any more reasons why its there, right?

it's there because of the way we run PC with the member sites thing.. WD is one common place where the various weebies can chat and help other webbies.. it's in official forums because thats where we want it since it spans all of PC and each member site. and it's easy to find too lol

It'd be good to just put in WD and the Computer Tech together into another catagory then, or move Computer Tech into WD somewhere ~ but that wouldn't make sense.

Moving WD into Comp Tech would make more sense, especially as the moderator of CTD has almost always been a moderator of WD as well.

That's the thing. Steve ain't allowing this though .. I think all the staff'll need to discuss this again or something.
