Well, in Yellow, Misty has a different sprite then in Red and Blue. The Yellow sprite looks alot more like she does on the show.

In Fire Red and Leaf Green, she still is the cute little red head we all know and love. Her hair is a rather light orange. I have the picture of her from Fire Red and Leaf Green.

I like it when she's nice. She is a very nice and kind girl. A very good example of her kind side would be when Ash and Tracey aceldently sniffed in Stun Spore from a Vileplume. She went and found Salvio weed to help them. Ash even said that was sweet of her to help. :cool: That side of her is always nice to see. It's also very nice seeing her care about Ash. One of the best examples is in Pokemon 2000. She dived in and brought him back to shore. She didn't want him to drown, she wanted him to live. If he died, she would be heartbroken. Of course, she did say "Please Ash, you can't....." when she was trying to get him breathing. That hint does show she cares about him alot. All that shows that she loves him. :classic: And that she's a very nice person. :cool:

youguys its good she's gone, i mean after a while i got sick of the same chars. and same stroy about winning badges and going to the championships, b/c altho there were new pokes & dif. regions the storyline was the same for kanto/johto, so w/ new chars its funner and it probably wouldnt be as good if Misty was here b/c they may not have added the new chars. may/max and therefore pokemon would have lost fans, and if they kep misty then there would be too many ppl to be traveling w/ ash... whut im saying is, would you be as big of a misty fan if she did come back, or are you more so now because she left? its like having something and then u only miss it when its gone. so if yout hink about it its a good thing and while it was still a surprise to us when the new season came out, that's whut kept it interesting you know?

I mourn her loss, and although it made me realize how much of an integral part of the show she was, I am as much a Misty fan as I ever was. Furthermore, Max is a worthless character (opinion to you all, fact to me) who never even deserved a one shot appearence, much less a permanent role. Finally, there have been almost as many filler episodes in AG as in the beginning of the Johto arc, and I have to say that May severely cuts the quality of said episodes. Now, it would be excellent to see Misty come back and Max leave, that way Misty could go and beat the living snot out of May and we would see a beautiful love triangle with one member of said triangle completly cluless.

P.S. Kirby, just a request, but could you use proper capitilazation in your posts, particularly in the more lengthy ones? I't make them seem much less like one gigantic run-on sentence.

I don't see EITHER Kasumi or Haruka as being Satoshi's "lover". The kid's 10. I don't see there being any existing relationship beyond friends with Satoshi & anyone. Maybe potential for a future one, but none existing at this time. The characters simply aren't mature enough

I don't deby that the to have obvious feeling for each other, it's fact. What I doubt is that they will ever obviously get together anytime during the series, except perhaps in an "epilogue" type of wrap-up eppy.

If Misty is hurt, Ash will pick her up and carry her to the place they need to go. Also, notice that he's holding on to her in the three other pictures. That shows that he will protect her when she hurt or down.

Well, I can see naught but a red X, so I can't tell, but yes, these hints are all over the place. The Ninja Poke-Showdown, for example, when Ash flies through the wall and almost off a cliff, Misty is horribly concerned about him and (in my somewhat untrustworthy recollection) yells at him for almost getting himself killed and worrying her like that.

IMO, Ash is 13 aswell.
You have to consider that their is a deep storyline to Misty coming back, and Ash and her's relationship.

I think that the writers are trying to blow us off the scent, and make us all ponder just if Misty will come back or not. It may be for the best that Misty is not in AG, because like you said, it leaves a certain level of suspense in the story, gives Ash a chance to mature and become more of a Teenager (IMO he's thirteen) and it means that Misty will come back fresh and better than ever. Even though i miss Togepi, and i was sad to see him go, i honestly think it's for the best. Misty now can show her full personality and she'll have more time to concentrate on Ash =D I'm confident in AAML, and Misty's return. As the saying goes, 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder...' ;)

Now, here's a brief prologue to a story I'm writing. It's they Goodbye scene from MQ from Misty's POV. I'll also include the intro my friend wrote. It's PG-13, so if that might bother you...

A great disappointment ensued the end of Pokemon: Master Quest. For the majority of Pokemon fans, such as Takai and myself, we knew one thing was going to happen at the end of the series: The confession of Ash and Misty’s true feelings for each other, that no one can deny exists. We absolutely knew that they would fall in love, and that the series would certainly end happily with this development. We, along with just about every other Pokemon fan in the world, were wrong.

At the end of Master Quest the Pokemon television series fell apart right before our eyes. The stories were getting extremely bland, with no focus being put on the human characters. The gym battles, which were pretty much the only thing worth watching on the show, were getting old and boring. Then, at the end of the series, what was turning out to be one of the best episodes I personally have ever seen since the end of the second season of the show, created a whirlwind of anger in many fans, including myself that could not be left alone and excused as though it were just trash. Misty left the team. And not only did she leave them, she did so without confessing her true feelings for Ash. Don’t give us any of this “Good-bye and good luck” bull crap. I don’t think that’s what was supposed to develop. She left without telling Ash the truth, and that angered others, and myself I’m sure, to a dangerous point. What are the reasons for this pathetic excuse for an ending? Well, let’s take a look, shall we?

First up, the sexual tension between Misty, and the honest Pokemon breeder we’ve all come to love, Brock. Don’t pretend it wasn’t there. I suggest that those of you that are still viewing the series through a child’s eyes but are not children yourselves go to www.pokemopolis.net. There, it explains what really happens in the show and points out the “dodginess” of the entire story. But even without this proof, don’t you think that you could probably figure it out yourself? I mean sure, Brock wants to become this breeder and all that, which would require him to travel and study. But don’t you think it odd that he would go along with Ash? (Besides because of Brock’s motherly attitude towards such a person like Ash.) Is there any particular reason? Of course there is: Misty. Brock loves chasing girls around, especially very beautiful ones. And who can’t say that Misty isn’t beautiful. I’ll admit it, even though she is somewhat “under-developed” physically, her independent attitude, basic personality, and overall looks qualify her, at least in my eyes, as **** hot! Well figure, Brock sees this as well. And though it never really shows up in the American edited version of the series, it is there. Moving on now… Maybe Misty didn’t confess her feelings towards Ash for this reason. She didn’t want to hurt Brock, as she was aware of the tension herself (how could she not be…), but at the same time, didn’t want to hurt the little emotionally crippled, rather slow-minded action hero we all know and love, Ash. Maybe, possibly, perhaps, could it be?!… Probably not. This most likely isn’t the reason. But I won’t excuse it.

We all know it’s there. Right in front of our unfocussed, badly trained eyes. Cackling softly to itself as it sucks the precious life energy away from its unwilling host. It’s evil… Evil I tell you… EVIL!!! Can you guess what I’m talking about yet? If you’re a Dodger or a Dodgemaster (all hail the Dodgemasters!) then you probably know what I’m talking about. Next specimen up for evaluation: That Freaky Little Egg Thing, Togepi. Yes, that egg has latched onto our poor, unwilling Misty and is sucking the life forces out of her as we speak. Only a tough, young female like her can provide the necessary energy requirements to feed the parasite. Though its intentions are unclear, we do think that this is the reason for Misty’s sudden weakness expressed throughout the show since the thing hatched. Some might say the reason for this is because it’s the way any mother would react after having to take care of it’s young. But we know this is not the case. Maybe, just maybe this is the reason? I mean, after all, once Misty tells Ash, the egg knows that the attention and energy it is getting right now will come to a halt after Misty gets distracted by her man. Perhaps Togepi used its energy-sucking powers to keep this confession from slipping? Maybe? Possibly? Perhaps? COULD THIS BE THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION?!?!… Uhh… no. At least in reality. Although I still tend to wonder… Be careful, that egg… it has evil powers I tell you…

Are those truly the only reasons? If so, then how come they both ended with the same conclusion? Maybe because of my bad judgment, as I was the one who introduced the reasoning and came to my own conclusions without giving a straight answer? Again, perhaps. But I think the real reason exists in our world. The real reason is clear: THE WRITERS SCREWED UP!!! Admit it, no one’s perfect, but this is above all other screw-ups. But unfortunately, in the series, their word is law. What are we going to do? How will we ever be satisfied? I know exactly how. They left a huge opening in the end. As the trio parts at the fork in the road, and leaves one and other behind, we look and notice the three paths each of them has chosen, whether it be or be not of their free will. Ash down the right, Brock down the left, and Misty down the center. We quickly caught up with Ash’s story immediately afterwards. Why wouldn’t we? He’s the main character after all. He starts a new journey in the Hoenn region as part of the new series season six: Pokemon Advanced. Here, he meets up with May, a young enthusiastic trainer who knows very little about Pokemon, and has little interest in them to begin with. I’m not going to even bother going into this any further. I hate this compared to the kick-*** personality of Misty. Then enters Brock. Yes, he’s followed Ash’s trail into Hoenn, and decided once again to follow along. Only this time under what circumstances, we do not know.

Therefore, we have now cleared out two of the three paths. But what about that third and last one? The road not taken by the series? This is where these stories take place. With the girl forgotten by many and excused by her creators as easily as one of their many miscellaneous characters created to satisfy the need of just one episode. Our dear and beloved Misty is the star, and this series will start a new breed of adventures with her and her companions. Unlike the travels of Team Twerp within the television series, this will not be all cute and clean. No, this is serious stuff we’re going to be dealing with here, and we will not hold back with any of it. On a dodginess scale of one to five, this will most certainly be a seven. We won’t go totally all out with some things. But we will give you the character’s thoughts and ambitions, some of which will most certainly be not of the regular Pokemon series. There will be swearing, sexual innuendo, mature jokes, and rather dodgy mischief. But it will all make for that much better of a story, and that’s all that really matters.
The stories shall start at the Cerulean City Gym, where Misty was supposedly headed off to last. And many events and challenges shall come to pass that gets her out of this hellhole that is brewing in her mind…

Misty stood at the crossroads, heart pounding. Down one path lay love, even if unrequited. She would never forget the day she met Ash. But the other road called to her just as much, if for different reasons. This road was a darker one, one less traveled. Duty and family drew her onto that path. She tried to push down the tears that were welling inside her, forced herself to rip her heart in half. Ever since a fateful spring day outside Viridian City five years hence, she and Ash had been part of the same cloth. She supposed she had always known this day would come, but not like this. More than anything else she wanted to fling herself at Ash, to whisper the words that had so long weighed on her mind.

The sweet, good natured (if a little slow) kid from Pallet Town had captured her heart the day they had met. She had always thought it somewhat of a joke that she had fallen for someone her sisters would have approved of. As the sun set behind her, and they said their goodbyes, she cursed her nature. If only she wasn’t so dammed proud she could have said “Screw this, I’m taking the easy way out.” But, alas and alack, she couldn’t. She had to continue on with her own path, one that had happily entwined with Ash’s for a few blissful years. Now her path wrote her away from him, and towards a home she had never liked, and people she had come to detest.

Now Brock had set off towards his destination. She had to say something, but nothing seemed right, nothing seemed to do justice to this ripping of cloth. A smile slowly spread across her face. She didn’t even hear Ash’s words. Finally, without even realizing what she was saying, she said “Goodbye and good luck.” With that, she started down her chosen road, leaving behind everything that had made her happy. That night, at camp, she realized she even missed his snores. Tears in her eyes, she sobbed “You still owe me a new bike Ash Ketchum...” For the first time since she was five, she cried herself to sleep.

He starts a new journey in the Hoenn region as part of the new series season six: Pokemon Advanced. Here, he meets up with May, a young enthusiastic trainer who knows very little about Pokemon, and has little interest in them to begin with. I’m not going to even bother going into this any further. I hate this compared to the kick-*** personality of Misty. Then enters Brock. Yes, he’s followed Ash’s trail into Hoenn, and decided once again to follow along. Only this time under what circumstances, we do not know.

Therefore, we have now cleared out two of the three paths. But what about that third and last one? The road not taken by the series? This is where these stories take place. With the girl forgotten by many and excused by her creators as easily as one of their many miscellaneous characters created to satisfy the need of just one episode. Our dear and beloved Misty is the star, and this series will start a new breed of adventures with her and her companions. Unlike the travels of Team Twerp within the television series, this will not be all cute and clean. No, this is serious stuff we’re going to be dealing with here, and we will not hold back with any of it. On a dodginess scale of one to five, this will most certainly be a seven. We won’t go totally all out with some things. But we will give you the character’s thoughts and ambitions, some of which will most certainly be not of the regular Pokemon series. There will be swearing, sexual innuendo, mature jokes, and rather dodgy mischief. But it will all make for that much better of a story, and that’s all that really matters.
The stories shall start at the Cerulean City Gym, where Misty was supposedly headed off to last. And many events and challenges shall come to pass that gets her out of this hellhole that is brewing in her mind…

Prologue: Ripped Cloth
Misty stood at the crossroads, heart pounding. Down one path lay love, even if unrequited. She would never forget the day she met Ash. But the other road called to her just as much, if for different reasons. This road was a darker one, one less traveled. Duty and family drew her onto that path. She tried to push down the tears that were welling inside her, forced herself to rip her heart in half. Ever since a fateful spring day outside Viridian City five years hence, she and Ash had been part of the same cloth. She supposed she had always known this day would come, but not like this. More than anything else she wanted to fling herself at Ash, to whisper the words that had so long weighed on her mind.

The sweet, good natured (if a little slow) kid from Pallet Town had captured her heart the day they had met. She had always thought it somewhat of a joke that she had fallen for someone her sisters would have approved of. As the sun set behind her, and they said their goodbyes, she cursed her nature. If only she wasn’t so dammed proud she could have said “Screw this, I’m taking the easy way out.” But, alas and alack, she couldn’t. She had to continue on with her own path, one that had happily entwined with Ash’s for a few blissful years. Now her path wrote her away from him, and towards a home she had never liked, and people she had come to detest.

Now Brock had set off towards his destination. She had to say something, but nothing seemed right, nothing seemed to do justice to this ripping of cloth. A smile slowly spread across her face. She didn’t even hear Ash’s words. Finally, without even realizing what she was saying, she said “Goodbye and good luck.” With that, she started down her chosen road, leaving behind everything that had made her happy. That night, at camp, she realized she even missed his snores. Tears in her eyes, she sobbed “You still owe me a new bike Ash Ketchum...” For the first time since she was five, she cried herself to sleep.

Not bad! I wish I chould give Misty a hug. :'( She defintintly needs one. She looks really hurt when she crys. :'( Of course, alot of us do agree that Misty's hot. :cool: And beautiful. :classic: She does have a nice personality. :cool:

Anyway, I actually agree with Kaga on this. When they get too deeply involved in a sexual way, it cases to be good, in my opinion I see their relationship more as something along the lines of that between Soichiro and Yukino from Kare Kano, with the two just wanting to be close and such.

On the other hand, I can't stand all the AAML writers who can't do anything but write about how they "discoverd" each other's feelings. You should know the scene, somewhere deep in Johto with Brock, Pikachu, and Togepi gone and...well, I'm sure you get it. A little of that's good, but that seems to be the only thing that a good 3/4 of them can write.

I feel the same about the fact that a too mature and passionate AAMRN is just, rather disgusting IMO. The reason i was attracted to the idea of Ash & Misty in the first place is because their love is young and innocent. Its like 'First Crush, and then as time goes by, first love'
They feel strongly towards each other, but in a innocent way. I'm just satisfied with the idea of them holiding hands, hugging (Okay, i admit i'd like to see them having their first kiss with each other ^.~) The main thing is their just young teens (IMO Ash is 13 and Misty's around 13 and a half) And i find a adult AAMRN slightly freaky :paranoid:

And The Adamant Dodger, i understand what you mean by too many AAMRNS are not very satisfying or good quality. I bump into too many AAMRNS which are far too romantic/mushy from the start (As in both A&M acting far too openly about their feelings), Brock, Togepi and Pikachu seem to be invisible and there's not enough depth in the storyline. I like AAMRNS which you can actually imagine happening in the real Anime, and its hard to find fics with that vibe. I have been sucsessful with finding a few awsome AAMRNS, if any of you want, i'll post a link to them via PM to you =D Most of them are on Serebii Forums and your not alowed to link to other Forums on PC.

I love my depressing stories, the darker, the better (Go Lovecraft!). However, ther is one line in these fics that must be avoided at all costs: "They found him the next day at the bottom of a ravine, dead." So keep away from that line, and have at it. I'd enjoy it.

Hey, Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'm sorry that I didn't reply until now; I've had my hands full this past week ^_^. This club is almost insanely popular. You guys have filled up, what, two pages since I last visited this topic? I've posted a thread in this forum as well (General Anime and Manga fan club) and it's no where near this popular. Well, anyway, have you all heard of those pokemon Housou episodes in Japan? I think Misty is suppose to be in at least one of those. I guess that shows that the writers haven't totally blown her off. But then again, there's a lot of characters reportedly in those eps that have been "lost" for some time...

I agree with you on that. It's really irritating when they start to take out the original characters and its even worse when they try to replace them. You know, I read somewhere that Jessie and James were supposed to be replaced by Butch and Cassidy but weren't because of their huge japanese fan base; so maybe it was because of Misty's popularity that she was taken off for so long. But maybe those next to episodes she's suppose to be in will mark her comeback.

Unfortunately the two AG episodes with Misty don't mention anything of a possible return, if memory serves me right...I wouldn't be surprised if she shows up again in AG, though. If she does before Ash makes it to the Hoenn league championship in Japan, then that would certainly be a good sign. As of now, her fate is in the air...

They planned to replace Jessie and James with Butch and Cassidy? That wouldn't be right...the reason B&C are so great is because they appear so rarely in the show, and that they're model TR members, evil to the core. But that would all be ruined if they were in every episode...no doubt they would be dumbed down in a way that only suits J&J...

Are you for or against Kasumi, Rose Flame? Butch & Cassidy (I don't know any of the TR Japanese names...) were only ever minor characters, appearing every now & then, but Jessie & James remained the main TR characters for the series. Kasumi has been almost totally replaced by Haruka now; if it is as you say, then Kasumi must not have a very large fan base in Japan. By saying that the replacement of a character is based on their fan base, then you're also saying that Haruka is a more popular character than Kasumi (and by saying that, u're bound to get uber-flamed by almost every1 in this club)

Brock was replaced by Tracey, though...and I think Misty's been gone in Japan about the same amount of time that Brock was gone...but since the Orange Islands arc was only one season, and the Hoenn arc looks like it's going to be two seasons, so they can't replace May with Misty again in the middle of an arc, so we'll just have to wait until the end of this league like we had to for Brock to come back...

I believe she'll come back, just because of the massive size of said fanbase. The reason it'll be a while, though, is due to the time required to complete the Hoenn arc. If the were to jolt the storyline like that by bringing back an older character permanently right in the middle of an arc it'd make very little sense overall. Besides, all the little kids who discarded Misty the instant they saw May might get upset by her sudden and unexplained reappearence.

Speaking of Misy being discarded, a while back I had a horrible dream. In it, I was sitting and talking over Pokemon with a friend. we're in a crowd of children, and Misty enters the conversation. Then one of the little punks comes up and says "Who's Misty?" I remember wanting to strangle the kid even after I woke up.

Guys, please, lets not start a opinion war. This is the BMB, for people who want her back. Being pesimistic about her return makes everyone despressed. Kenta-kun, its not very respectful to only post in this thread to make a argument.

I guess i will put my points in though ^^; Here ya go Misty Fans, this should make you more confident.

1. The Relationship - Right, shipping's a factor, and we'll need to take all factors into account if we want to figure out whether Misty's likely to come back. And no, the Pokeshipping subplot is NOT resolved (Duh ;)). Misty likes Ash - she's liked him ever since the Orange Islands - and it's clear to see from the HoSo specials that the writers haven't forgotten this. Misty's feelings are a dangling plot-thread.
The writers spend - what was it - four seasons? Five? - developing Misty's crush, then give her an incredibly shippy farewell scene in Gotta Catch Ya Later (the handkerchief, "well, Ash Ketchum, now I finally know what you think of me"), and plant several little reminders of the crush's existence in Misty's HoSo specials... and all for what? Nothing? Just chuck it straight out the Window? I really don't see that happening @@ The writers got rid of Togetic for a reason and have kept Misty in the dark for another reason. Don't get me wrong, i adore Togepi, as you may know Togetic's one of my fave Pokemon, but i really think it's for the best. Togepi was basicly destroying Misty's character, she had to act like his mother 24/7, she always had her attention on him, and he was always in her arms. Her personality was running dry and she had less time to focus on Ash. If she is to come back, Misty will come back fresh and better than ever. And ofcourse she'll have more time to concentrate on Ash ^.~

As for Misty being left in the dark, its almost as if she's suspended in time.
There's levels of suspicion, viewers pondering over wether she'll return or not. Tension. Thats what the writers want, it keeps their viewing levels high, keeps the Misty fans watching. Its almost like a cliff hanger.

2. May/Advance shipping? A threat to AAML and Misty's return? - AdvanceShipping is virtually baseless IMO. Am I the only one who doesn't think that there is any basis whatsoever for AdvanceShipping in the animé?
There are slight hints, of course, but no more than for the totally-discredited GymShipping (Brock+Misty). I don't even belive in those ones. However, Ash has never shown the level of attachment to May that he has to Misty. He has referred to her, indirectly, on many occasions, often in May's company.
Ash's relationship with May is that of senior to junior Trainer. She is his Apprentice and, no doubt, he has been of great help to her behind the scenes. However, he has never shown the emotional closeness and vulnerability towards May that he repeatedly did towards Misty. Nuff said.
As for May and Max, i belive they are Seasonal characters made to put some spice in AG. People claim that Pokemon was in need of some new characters, so they introduce May and Max. But IMO May is a a avertising character, she was brought into AG because she is one of the playable characters in Ruby?Sapphire, and they thought she would increase the R/S sales. Thats marketing. May and Max i belive will be left behind at the end of AG, Hoen's their home country. If Ash and Brock go back to Kanto, May and Max won't go with them IMO.

TEAM AQUA MISTY! I was considering drawing Misty in a Team Aqua outfit for the pic I keep promising...I might try something different though, maybe a custom outfit or something :P Again, great pic, one of the cutest I've ever seen ^^;;

misty looks good in pink it maches her skin a little,and highlights her hair... try and find a mix of a pale pink/hot pink that should compliment her skin, and the hot pink for her hair

Actually, I think Misty would look great in anything...I want to get more and more creative with my clothing designs though, but for my first pic it's going to be basic :P

Yeah, I can understand the feeling. But personally, I can't stand it when any girl, particularly one whom I respect and admire (even if she is technically ink) wears something that I think goes against their personality. And pink (particularly hot pink) suits Misty about as well as a dog like being clean.

Agreed...red for her hair and her fiery temper suits her best, I think...I'd also like to put some more unorthodox outfits on her...something beyond a shirt and shorts, and with a variety of colors...she's a different sort of girl so she deserves different types of clothing...

or like a sort of one piece light blue dress with like that frilly thing, you know, at the top, with no straps?
or a dark blue jumper that is a teeny bit big for her so it does that thing with the hand...id do it myself but
1)cant be bothered to try to be good at drawing (im pretty sure i can do it with a bit of practice but i cant stand disappointment
2) no matter how much i practice i still cannot draw eyes for some reason!!! its frustrating
3)going up north somewhere for a couple of days in a few days probably wont see me from next thursday till maybe the tuesday after(sorry for being off topic im just saying it to anybody who..you know, thinks i quit or something)

Last night on Cartoon Network they started the Johto stuff. I wish I could be there with Misty. Of course I would be wherever Misty is. Or with Ash and the gang.

YA! Misty looks cool in varying dresses but i think she looks cool in her classic dress[at start of pokemon]!
She was best at her dress in the episode of the big wave[i.e Humangadanga!]

Thanks Tatts! I think AYB is pretty funny. Plus, you can't go wrong with a villian who's named Cats and that spouts out a funny phase. A couple of pictures that I got that would be funny to have in a AYB video.........

I would love seeing her in the outfit I'm using for my current story...Minus the various weapons. And personally, I think her AG outfit is awful and mukes her olook unusully like a banana.
