The eyes are the hardest part...it's impossible to get her like she's looking straight at me, only off in the distance...

Oh, and to get pics off serebii.net, press the button on your keyboard called "PrintScreenSysRq" and then paste into paint or something...it copies the whole screen, but you can resize it to make it one picture. Serebii has small, poor-quality pictures but they're better than nothing I guess =/

ML17 - I love the Miyabic Room AAML pics you have posted, the Autumn sketch one is clever, cause it's Tracey that's drawing them ^////^ I've always thought he knew there was something between them. I can never have enough of AAML fan-art! *Satisfied sigh*

Well guys, i thought i'd post this for you to read and see what you think, i'm not the one who wrote this, it's a fellow AAMLer over at Serebii who posted it in the Pokeshipping Discussion. (Which is the only reason i go to SNF) I'm just copying and pasting it. I think it is a really good post. It's half for Misty's return, half for AAML. Here it is, beware, there are for people who have not watched AG ect. ***Spoilers***:


I think that when misty returns we would probably have a slight character development for her.. it was tried in johto but the writers just could not pull it off... we would probably see a few arguments here and there, but prob mostly sarcasm and chiding... i feel that ash in hoenn even though he doesnt mention it, has come more to terms with his feelings and i do think that if pokemon was more of a Truman show we would probaly see a few moments when he misses his old friend.. the reason there is little or no mention of misty is not because she is not gonna return, but becauses the writers, for better or for worse, put max and may in the show.. they know that fans would obviously label them as replacements for misty, and that if too many mentions of misty were in the anime, then it would subconciously tell everyone that may and max are mere replacements, and would forever live in another character's shadow.

I disagree with people that think the hosos being a means to keep misty's fans quiet while the real show goes on, but rather they are trying to keep us informed as to what is going on, like how misty gets her gyrados, kinda like prequels.. the fact that yet more visual as well as audio hints were thrown in just shows that they still got something planned for misty.. its like keeping hope and interest alive.. the lack of future hosos does not really pertube me... after all, there is only so much they can do with a character who lives in a gym, short of sending her out on some grand journey on her own.. the fact that she is staying in the gym, which is a state that really cannot last too long, as her sisters have returned and her staying there just is not an ending which any writer would conjure, shows she still has a future with the show and the main party.. if she did not, she would have packed up and gone on her journey or found some fixed ending like getting together with another guy or studying water pokemon under lorelei or some professor who specialises in water types, or something like that.. many people say that the fact that she said in the last hoso that she was thinking of going to hoenn to look for ash and co and just stayed for two eps was kind of like a gravestone for her.. people forget that she was the STAR in those two eppys, and added to the fact that she had a new costume, means she is likely destined for things greater than cerulean gym.. the most telling of all is that the rhythm of the AG series in Hoenn has been mapped out already, with character dynamics already in place.. misty cannot just come in and disrupt everything.. so she got just two eps, making her fans happy for a while yet wanting more, and keeping the rhythm and interactions theyy want to keep at least til nearer the end of hoenn.. ie hoenn league.. the writers would have to wait til at elast then to put her back in the group, as anything else would spoil their story... this in no way shows that misty will not return...

It really does not matter if hints are concentrated in kanto and orange islands, because i think that it was really to show that kind of chemistry between ash and misty, and once everyone knew it was there, all johto needed to do was to keep us refreshed from time to time as well as to give new viewers an idea of what was going on... anyway, johto focused on pokemon, not the group anyway...

As far as hints go, misty's feelings we definitely know.. ash of course is guarded or dense, but no one is that stupid.. he probably has an idea of what is going on, but just pushes it aside as he thinks that misty liking him is probabvly impossible, juding from all their arguments and how they started off.. i think an obvious one is in gcyl (Gotta Catch Ya Later) when ash's face changed when brock told him that misty would have wanted to go on with them if she could.. that shows that he cares, just that pokemon is kinda like a soap opera, and things just cannot happen so fast.... we ARE sure of misty's feelings, and i do not think anyone would have the guts to deny that, no matter what ship they support, and as long as misty likes him, we all know she sure as **** is NEVER EVER going to give it up.. and that in my opinion as far as animes go, is a sure symbol of success...

Excellent essay, whoever wrote that...lots of good points that I agree with, lots of theories that I've thought about before...I should probably start on another Misty sketch, I like the way the last one turned out...but I'm just wondering about how good any of mine would look colored...they couldn't compare to all the photoshopped ones that ML17 posts, and I'm not exactly good at shading o_o;;

Oh, and here's one future AAML hint I love, it comes from the episode A Shipful of Shivers. This almost confirmed AAML for me because the writers snuck it in, hoping nobody would notice that it wasn't a research team, but a future vision of the show's characters...

I think you'll find she was actually aiming that post AT Kirby00. I was the one who pointed out that we did indeed have a Petition already because he didn't bother to read back afew posts. OK I shouldn't have replied like I did but it was only because I was annoyed that yet another person suggested about having a Petition because they didn't read back and see we already have one. And about her outfits, I greatly prefer the older one. It accentuates her personality much more than the newer outfit she wears in AG, IMO...it's different than anything else you see in the show, it makes Misty who she is, a person of much individuality. The new one was thought of in five minutes and looks like some sort of cheap astronaut suit from an old movie...

Ash may have his faults, but he's definitely not one to be unfaithful to anyone...and since there's a really good chance Ash and Misty have feelings for each other, he'd be glad to be with her. He doesn't have Brock's wandering eye; it's a combination of his being too young to care about girls and a genuine disinterest in them...the only reason he likes Misty is because of the years he's spent with her, and only through that was he ever able to learn the meaning of love...I'm sure if Misty were to be with Ash, they would be perfectly happy.

Well the RP could start out at a gym, but there needs to eventually be something that happens where we have to get out and start battling...and should we ban any character romances with Misty? I know at least a couple of us here would try that XD As for who would play Misty, I think we all could in turn, that is, whenever we talk to her we script her responses to us. No major plot twists without consulting everyone in this topic, too. Remember the three apprentices in the first Misty Hoso? I think our characters would be somewhat like that...any more ideas?

Ok, here are the Misty Club RPG rules:

1.) You can’t join unless you have been accepted as a member of the Official Misty (Bring Her Back!) Club. Anyone who joins without belonging to the club will not be permitted, and if they continue to post without approval a mod will be contacted.

2.) You may not engage in any sort of romance with Misty, and you may play Misty as well as yourself for any one of your posts where your character has a dialogue with Misty.

3.) If you are about to introduce a major plot twist, explain it before posting it in the Official Misty (Bring Her Back!) Club, and wait for the approval/disapproval of the other members involved in the RPG in that topic.

Possible premise for the story:

After Misty’s sisters returned from their world tour, Misty once again found herself out of the job as Cerulean gym leader. Now with nothing to do, she decides to go out on her own again and explore a distant, lonely archipelago of islands northeast of Kanto in order to hone her skills as a water pokemon master...word has it that a new branch of the Pokemon League is attempting to form there, and she is interested in seeing if there is a position for a gym leader who specializes in water types. She brings along a few assistants with her just incase she can aid in having a gym built there, and expects to send them back to Cerulean City in a matter of weeks. Little does she know that an organization is attempting to derail the formation of the new branch of the league, and even less does she know how helpful her assistants will be in her quest to save the budding league and deny the organization what they want...

Sounds good so far, Kaga. My two additions are doing away with the 3 to 1 ratio in Pokemon types. I say this because of who I intend to be in this. Secondly, I'd say define the villian/evil group. You've left a good bit of wiggle room, a bit too much I'd say. Are they a crime syndicate? A group of traditionalists from the Indigo League? Isolationists from the islands? Other than that, sounds good. I'd be willing to do a map. I'll post a prelim tomorrow.

Backstory: Dane watched his parent's slaving away at Silph co. He soon decided that that wasn't the life for him. He loved the outdoors as a kid and became (and remains) extremely fit. At age 10, he registered as a Pokemon trainer. His parents weren't all that pleased, but thought he'd "come to his senses." After attempting the Indigo League at age 11 (Taking 12th place overall) he returned to his hometown to be a Junior Trainer at the recently combined gym. His skills quickly gained notice and he was placed as the Captain of the Junior Trainers. Although he preferred Psychics, he learned how to train Fighting types effectively and began a study of the martial arts. He kept training other types too, recognizing that no type was flawless. His parents grew steadily more displeased with him, eventually cutting off contact with him at age 16 when his brother also seemed to want to leave. Preasently he's looking into the feasibility of opening an ISG branch in the islands.

Personality: Dane is a bit asocial, particularly in cities. He far prefers a night alone around a campfire with a tent to the best hotel and a large crowd. Reclusive and withdrawn, he can't befriend many, although he lopyal to his superiors. Unlike most Gym-linked Trainers, he believs in League cooperation, rather than competition.

I actually didn't include more information about the crime syindicate because I was hoping to get suggestions from people...I wasn't sure whether to make it something like you said, as in isolationists, a branch of Team Aqua, a group looking to control all the islands' gyms, or something else...we'll need to think about that. We'll need to debate that here. And the 3:1 ratio can be done away with, as we don't set out AS Misty's travelling partners, but we eventually become them. I'll edit the general backstory to say that.

We're going to hold the RP in the Pokemon RP Forum here...I've never been inside it, but I know it's there o_O

I think that particular island looks fine...we're going to be going through a whole lot of forested area, so a couple towns per island is fine...we can even have uninhabitated or town-less islands too, but this will be the biggest island since it's the main island. We'll make up more as we go.

Actually, I drew that map with the idea that I would just mark the major towns. There's a port, obviously. Maeato is a major shipping area. Ashlar would be the equvilent of Pallet/New Bark/Littleroot town. Finally, there's the capitol. You get the idea. I did the same thing with the roads, I wanted to leave everyone with room. Anyway, I think of it it as multiple islands, I'll get another done soon.

The aforementioned water pokemon clause is that if you play as one of Misty's gym apprentices, you have to have three water pokemon in your party for every non-water pokemon. This doesn't apply if you're a regular trainer though.

As for Misty as a trainer, we rarely get to see her battle...Pity, that, but when we do see he, it's quite apparent that she's highly skilled, far better than Ash, I'd say. His sole advantage is in types, otherwise she'd easialy beat him any day of the week (and twice on Thursdays).

yes i agree... i remember the battle for todoile and he used gras/electric pokes, i was quite angry when he asked pikachu to shock the togepi, i mean cmon how sick are you jsut to win? plus i also think misty needs improving, if she was as trully skilled as u believe in her battles her water pokes would have a few ice moves as a back-up for grass types, i always have that when i play the games, and for a water trainer it should be essential and well-known.... but yes.... ash is worse...

I think i watched the movie 3 but it was I think maybe Chinese or something I couldn't understand much I like pokemon more in English for some reason I don't like their voices in other languages. I can understand a lot of languages but its just unnatural to watch it in other languages because I'm used to hearing their English voices

anyway I reckon Misty is a great trainer, but although her pokemon are growing and everything I think her skill is probably near limit maybe? she doesn't seem to grow much as a trainer I reckon even though she got new pokemon and everything? somehow it doesn't feel as though her skills would ever reach as high as some other people? maybe she has lots of natural talent but with less room to grow? or have no natural talent and can't grow? even if she does grow, the fact that she only uses one type (not anything against water pokemon they're some of my favourites and the fact that she only uses water pokemon is a great attribute and shows persistence and determination and everything good and everything) will maybe become a barrier to her growth, because she would only be restricted to one kind of learning unlike other trainers who use all sorts? maybe she should at least experiment with other types as well and then only use water pokemon? it seems to me that even though she is a great trainer and all, the guess (notice I did not say fact) that she may receive less experience as a trainer using only one type makes her look like even though she is good now, she may soon be surpassed by other trainers like (insert name here)(not just any name though).

I doubt she's anywhere near he skill limit, though. Besides, the animators want to make Ash look better, in my opinion, and thus they occasionally make Misty seem weaker than she is.

Its not that Ash didn't get to use Pikachu ... more to the point its that Pikachu didn't WANT to battle Misty who he considered a friend. And I honestly think Misty could have won that battle if Team Rocket hadn't appeared when they did.

But they should have made it so she caught more Water Pokemon though. Then again its probably because not that many parts of the anime were spent near rivers / lakes / the ocean.

No, we see rivers and the like a LOT. They just never bother using them to introduce Pokemon. Look at the Johto filler eps and you'll see that Water-types are shockingly under-represented, despite a roughly proprtional geography. There was that fishing contest ep, though. I liked that.

Curse Johto, they ruined her...I can't think of any particularly good Misty scenes from those seasons...that's awesome that they're going to do a thing about pokemon representing the 90s (although it did reach peak popularity around 2000-2001 though o_O ) I just hope they don't portray it as kiddie like everyone else does, but I doubt VH1 has a full understanding of pokemon -_-;;

I can think of some good ones. Like when she helped the baby Marril and she got lost. She was crying at the end of the episode. :'( Then when she entered the Whrilpool Cup and did really well. Also when when she was at the seaside gym, she was pretty cool. Their where many times when she was really cute[then again, she's always really cute].

Don't forget the Heartbreak of Brock. She played a tremendous role in that episode. It's still one of my favorites. For once, they didn't focus everything on Action Hero Ash.

But it doesn't matter. Johto nearly killed her. And that's why it will always remain the worst three seasons in the entire series. Except perhaps ADVGen. Where there's no Misty at all in it except for two lousy episodes. Now that just plain out sucks.

She could get (and needed, by the end of Johto arc) a personality revamp. Johto did kill her, yes, but That doesn't mean that she couldn't be revived.

Still, IMO Misty at her worst > May at her best. At least when Misty became as bland as May is now, we had the memory of what she was and hope of a rebirth of her former self. May has always been this way, and will probably always be this way.

Ya! May is one of the worst trainer and is out of real pokemon base i.e pokemon battles! It's a great mistake to bring her in anime.
