I kinda picked up on a little googly-eyes by May directed towards Misty. Honestly, I don't presume anything about any of the character's sexuality, I usually think of most of them as bi (fanfic purposes) excepting James. I hae yet to see anyone so flamboyantly yaoi.

But yeah, there are a lot of Advanceshippers around. I've actually been toying around with MayxGary recently.

Misty is a great character in the gp.

I noticed on the last episode of master quest they got close...was that a suggestion of an upcoming kisiing ? :D Yet, Brock interrupted by saying that he had to go (too) :( Misty definitely likes Ash (over 5-10 proofs of her love...ex 1: the woods ep. where misty made an excuse of her bike and before leaving the gp. getting back the bike, she was deeply sad. ex 2: Danny ep. Danny flirted w/ Misty...when seeing ash had won Danny says that ask is a "lucky" guy but ash was baffled [why?!!-innocence perhaps] and during that misty she had HOPE for ash. ex 3: Nidoran(f)XNidoran(m) Where during the end ask comments "So, if two people kiss they change?" and misty says "WE'LL just have to see" suggesting she believes that it will happen (the kissing) [she was blushing at the time) When Ash died in the Ghost Ep. and was outside the body w/ Haunter, Misty started o panic and when ash returned to his body he caught here wiping off a TEAR and smiling joyfully in a way that she wouldn't care if she even KISSED ash at the moment because she saw him alive. What about the Pokemon 2000 Movie. She gets extremely jealous when ash is kissed by the girl on the island and when the girl sits close to ash. She even rescuses him later while saying that he'll NEVER BE ALONE; with additions that the girl on the island said that "his girlfriend will..." and Misty blushes and NODS! XD
Also, in the Jirachi movie ash tells May about Misty that he REALLY REALLY misses her-showing his love for Misty.

What is sad is that when Misty meets Ash again in Advanced Generation, she doesn't even show a gesture of "caring" really for Ash as she used to. I seriously thought she would hug Ash and May would somehow become jealous.

May envies Ash alot---he was the one who showed her how to battle and the tactics of pokemon battling which perhaps is indirectly allowing May to bloom into a more sofisticated young women and develop feeling for Ash, just like how Ash envied Misty and vise-versa and then u slowly saw the relationship btwn the 2 develop.

So, I conclusively think that May and Misty both have a crush on Ash. May may not seem to show it at first because she has not had "alone" experiences with ash or other "affectionate" experiences as Misty did. Misty therefore likes Ash a lot! But, if Misty doesn't watch out, May will steal Ash completely ;)

What do you think?
And no. Misty has no feelings for Brock; neither does Brock toward misty. He respects her as a trainer but nothing else. I clearly remember him hinting that Misty is meant for Ash or vise-versa somewhere in the series but I don't know where...

The episode the picture's from is An EGG-sighting Adventure! it's when Ash's Phanpy egg is missing and they have to find it. They get help from an Officer Jenny, who also is a detechive. Team Rocket trys to steal the egg earlier in the episode, but Togepi Metronomes it out of the room and into the woods, where a baby Kangaskhan finds it and gives it to it's mom. Misty has her hair down in a little part of the episode.:)

I still believe that if ash had it, it would have been freakishly strong, yet with togepi with Misty currenty, it has actually made Misty more softer...taking care of a baby, nourishing it; being exactly like a mother does to a child which I believe helped Misty mature a lot through out the Anime ;) It's sad that recently togepi evolved and is now at the togepi kingdom in Advanced Generation. I sincerely hope that Misty will come back to the ream sooner or later, or that Ash will truely take his time out of training and visit Misty at the Cerulean Gym ALONE-you know privately. Ash has definitely matured through out the series. What, he's now 12-13 years old (perhaps older?) He has reached his puberty and therefore has become less innocent, if I may say so scientifically proved [in reality]. Ash, as I meantioned before, taught May the necessary techniques she needed to know when she started out which is ironic since he, in the very beginning of the Anime, had to be given advise by a much more higher racked trainer, or formally gym leader, Misty :)

However, as the Anime has progressed, Misty has begun to see Ash's (Satoshi is better name :D) special relationship and connection to pokemon making him VERY different from all other trainers in the world; he is the "one" . I don't mean vaguely, but seriously! Ho-oh blessed him in the beginning of the episode by his appearance, Lugia who was at his command, mew who was his ally, and mewtwo who he changed by seriously killing himself (and being resurected [for the 3rd time in the series; yes he died 3 times] by the pokemon's tears in the First movie). He has also had suicune at his feet and soon the ultimate Rayquaza. Misty recognizes this and sees her position in his life as very crucial; he needs someone to be there for him, or he truely will die for good next time and the pokemon world will die- because he is the "leader" of the pokemon :)

It is purposeful by the author that both Ash and Misty like (or may I say love) each other because why else would the author put Ash in such situations that causes Misty to cry, or "alone" experiences between them? What about the Danny-jealousy act Misty tried to pull on Ash? She truely want's Ash to show his love for her.

Perhaps this is why when Misty came back to the team during those two episodes w/ Togepi in the Togepi Kingdom episodes-where her Togepi evolves, Misty doesn't show her affection to Ash because she feels nervous around May (she is shy) and perhaps there, in her heart feels a strong ache. She wants Ash back but feels that with May around Ash doesn't need her anymore; he didn't pull a "first" move in showing that he missed her (don't take in a wrong way) and therefor feels reluctant. She may show a happy face to everyone in the episode, but that's all she could do; if she cried it could make Ash feel worse and terrible, and perhaps not accept her leaving back to the cerulean Gym. Misty is definitely sofisticated, whilest ash is rather simplistic. But this is what makes them so perfect for each other, doesn't it? Misty will always fulfill the "special place" in Satoshi's heart which every individual always has that cannot be fulfilled untill they are married and care for one another.

Satoshi may pretty young, but really I think he is rather clever and knows what's right; he may be a bit more innocent than other characters, but that makes him the perfect person for any female character to be attracted to right? Hehe....

All in All, Ash and Misty's relationships are pretty obvious: they love each other; there's no objection to it. May likes Ash, but somewhat vaguely...he is attractive, is he not-personality wise, and look's wise? Remember, in the Manga Ash is VERY VERY clever and yet innocent at the same time. He is very intelligent for his age in there, but that makes the difference between the Anime and Manga versions of Pokemon. Perhaps the Anime was designed to show more emotions between the characters, especially Mr. "leader of all pokemon" Ash (Satoshi) in order to make them more arousing to the audience.

Very insightful of you! I think you're right about a lot of what you said in that post. I especially like the part that I quoted, which is why I quoted it :D

Misty started off as a knowledgable trainer and taught Ash, now it's Ash's turn to teach another new trainer, I believe that doing so (1) shows us how much he has already matured and (2) allows him to grow even further. I wonder if Ash and May will go their seperate ways, at least it's a possibility. I think May might possibly have a crush on Ash but I doubt it, she has more of a respect for him than anything and it'll take a while before she can start developing a relationship with Ash beyond her respect for him. I also don't think that that will happen because of that other guy with the green hair in the contests with his Roselia.

What about the Danny-jealousy act Misty tried to pull on Ash? She truely want's Ash to show his love for her.

Perhaps this is why when Misty came back to the team during those two episodes w/ Togepi in the Togepi Kingdom episodes-where her Togepi evolves, Misty doesn't show her affection to Ash because she feels nervous around May (she is shy) and perhaps there, in her heart feels a strong ache. She wants Ash back but feels that with May around Ash doesn't need her anymore; he didn't pull a "first" move in showing that he missed her (don't take in a wrong way) and therefor feels reluctant. She may show a happy face to everyone in the episode, but that's all she could do; if she cried it could make Ash feel worse and terrible, and perhaps not accept her leaving back to the cerulean Gym. Misty is definitely sofisticated, whilest ash is rather simplistic. But this is what makes them so perfect for each other, doesn't it? Misty will always fulfill the "special place" in Satoshi's heart which every individual always has that cannot be fulfilled untill they are married and care for one another.

Satoshi may pretty young, but really I think he is rather clever and knows what's right; he may be a bit more innocent than other characters, but that makes him the perfect person for any female character to be attracted to right? Hehe....

All in All, Ash and Misty's relationships are pretty obvious: they love each other; there's no objection to it. May likes Ash, but somewhat vaguely...he is attractive, is he not-personality wise, and look's wise? Remember, in the Manga Ash is VERY VERY clever and yet innocent at the same time. He is very intelligent for his age in there, but that makes the difference between the Anime and Manga versions of Pokemon. Perhaps the Anime was designed to show more emotions between the characters, especially Mr. "leader of all pokemon" Ash (Satoshi) in order to make them more arousing to the audience.

Well, obviously they edited the outfits and they did alter a few scenes. Such as at the beginning, in Ash's room with Gary's sis. In the original, she was lying right on the bed with him and was far better endowed than in the American version. As for cutting scenes, I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised.

There's a part from Pikachu Shocks Back that was cut out of it. It's in the one with the Eevee brothers. In the part, they're at the hotsprings. Misty is naked in this part[they don't show her nipples,her hands are covering them up and her lower half is covered too, but you can see her legs]. She squeezes her large breasts together. Ash, Brock, and Mikey see her do this and she screams. She then runs out butt naked. It's a funny scene. I've seen the pictures of the scene, too. And on the Serebii forums, there was a topic about it. I do know a site that has that scene.

[about the clock] where Ash was completely mislead in his calculations to Blane's gym and his cheezy disguise]) Also, what about Ash's emotions? Ash is ALLOWED to cry in the Anime since he is 12 years old, an age of naivete, ironically (not 13, since as meantioned, it would "mean" he is "mature"; has "no need to cry" "because he is a guy".

Why do you think when men/boys in this society (who are taught this principle) start punching and "beating people up" when they are made fun of to a poing of "not taking anymore" or when something horrific happens to them (sometimes)? I agree, another girl...but I believe Misty somewhat knows that Ash likes her, that's why she does some crazy things just to get his attention ;)

I have a feeling though that their will come a time in the series when Ash will be so seriously injured that death will be probable, and something may happen that may reveal some truthful, hidden secrets of Misty's opinions of Ash (if she hapens to even get a notice that'll bring her there)

Ash may even DIE again, but for good in the series; That I believe would be horrible ending to the Anime and/or Manga.

Remember, I only post such long posts so that you guys can get an informative in-depth view on the relationships between Ash and Misty.

In my view,although Ash may seem to be the leader of all pokemons, he will not be the best trainer.Indeed Misty started as stronger trainer than him and she should remain stronger.It means that she is going to get the hold of more water pokemons and so she wouldn't just stay at cerulean gym and think about the relationship between her and ash.Instead she should be made grow into a powerful trainer by the writers.As about the way Ash and misty will get together,I think that there will be a situation when ash and misty will both be strong pokemon trainers and will be choosen to be elite four and there during training ash or misty may fall in a difficult situation and then they will express each other's fellings to eachother.

Have you heard the tale about Ash's Dad? In the beg. of the series it showed a glimpse of Ash with his mom and dad, but didn't show the dad's face.

Ash's dad set out to be a pokemon master, saw the "most amazing things" unimaginable-especially some pokemon discoveries no one even knows "today." What could they have been? Anyhow, Ash's Dad died mysteriously...or did he?..., and so that's why Ash's Mom is worried about Ash a lot (but that doesn't mean that she is just protective ^^) --she is worried that something terrible might happen to Ash.

Haven't you Also wondered why Ash is looked up to by the legendaries? Ash possesses some ancient aura that links to the pokemon and which will save the pokemon from a destruction that will occur...in the future. What could this atrosoty be?

Well! I agree with your view that Ash is chosen by the ancient legendaries to be their master but i don't agree that Misty will just sit in crulean gym and think about her relationships with Ash.In my point of view, Misty also has a kind of ancient relation with pokemons caz some pokemons who just don't obey Ash are also taken control of by Misty's kind attitude.And as for They being elite four, it is destined that they will be one day caz being them as a pokemon master i.e. elite four is what the theme of the show is. Anyway, ur idea about Ash's dad is exactly what i wanted to see.I too think that Ash's dad must have went through a great secret of pokemon world maybe some kind of danger to pokemons and the way to get out of it due to which he either isolated from hius family so as to keep them away from danger or was killed.And that's why Pokemons specially legendaries obey Ash caz they had met his father.

I agree...the Misty comment was a HOPED Hypothesis. The thing about Ash's dad is very accurate. YES! Ash's Dad was special; He must have made some sort of relationships with pokemon's that made them obey Ash-he's the son of the "great one"<---made this one up from hyp. but it does fit in truely why Ash is looked up by other pokemon. He posses's a special Aura that his father possessed that makes him trustworthy to other pokemon-eep. the legendary.

Misty also possess's thus a dif. Aura not so much as Ash's "special" kind but something rather close. The possession of Aura's of these significant characters (Ash and Misty) is somewhat like the powers of Anna and Yoh in the Shaman King. Yoh desires nothing except another day making him very special while Anna possess a powerful aura that allows her to control the most strongest ghosts! This is thus exactly like Ash and Misty's "powers" in the Anime.

As for Misty having a less relation with pokemons that Ash i don't agree with u Tkinc.If she would have less Aura than Ash, how come she got the hold of togepi and some pokemons like hoothoot on Johto journeys obey only Misty.So, what i say is that Misty is a stronger trainer than Ash is and she must be kept stronger so that Ash will try to be more like her and will get stronger.
Well! Water pokemon master, it's true that Ash loves pokemon but i don't think that that's the only reason the pokemons try to save him.For example Ash never met Mew before in pokemon the first movie but when mewtwo attacked Ash,IT magically appeared and saved his life.So, it can't just be becaz of love.

You guy's don't get it...Misty is an awesome trainer. Ash is definitely learning from her but is surpassing her. I never said Misty is a worse trainer than Ash or implyed that at all. I simply implyed he possesses his own special auro that certain legendary pokemon see (as a resemblence to his father) that they conclude will help them "save the day" Misty is a Very good trainer indeed, and all i said is that she possess's a dif. I don't know any IRC channels at the moment that hosts these eps, but I think you'll find one if you look through Google<--usually where I find my IRC channels :)

I can't seem to find my "edited" fanart, but I have my very old rough sketched (notice some disproportion with Misty, which I fixed in my edited version and the ages-->fixedit after some thourogh analysis, so please don't criticize me. I think my Ash picture turned out the best in comparison to the other characters.)

Seriously, that pic is awesome...I love how much they textured it, and I especially love how they shaped her I really need to take some pointers from these people, I could really, really improve my drawings. Her bikini and towel are awesome, and I love togepi in this! Her expression is perfect, too. I love her long, slender figure, they really accentuate it in this (though they forgot her belly button <_<;; ) I love her eyes too, they're really gentle. So's her hair...the shading really seals the deal, I seriously love that pic o_o

So, does this mean my fanart was ok?

the Misty's Song is an actual song in pokemon that was apparently taken out from kidsWB. It was like one of those kariokimon music videos they used to have at the end of the episode (with pics and stuff). The beggining shows this: Everyone is going to bed and Ash says good night to Misty, where the song begins. Misty sings about her feeling toward Ash-->that she loves him, but finds it VERY DIFFICULT to express (typical), hence look at end of song; By the end of the music video she says "good night". Sweet huh? ^_^

The episode special names can be found on serebii.net special episodes section. The one with Mermaid Misty is something with "love disc" included in it. I haven't watched the Advanced and Advanced Generation specials yet (since my sis won't let me use the cpu long enough) but when I get time I really want to watch the Mermaid Misty episode! ^^


I'm also working on the design of a new GC 3D Pokemon Game which I believe will be Revolutionary,---I call it Pocket Monsters: Xtreme (Pokemon Xtreme)
The game will be include very interesting story with Ash as the main character with a progression of his life, including when he'll be 17. There is a very unique battle system (very interactive--more than tales of symphonia real-time CBS :) but more or less similar to it-explain to you later) and it includes the ability to play 2-3 players co-operative. Yes, you can play with characters from the series like Misty, Brock, and May, where you can get 6 pokemon equiped for each of them. The battle system allows 2-2 battles where if you are playing co-op, you can control a maximum of 12 pokemon! with 1 pokemon-to-be-used per trainer participating in the battle. There will come a time when you battle Team Rocket (Yes, Jessy and James will be a norm) and some "bosses" where they will sometimes battle with 3 pokemon at one time, but you can use one of your pokemon to aim at a spot that can lay damage to all pokemon at a time, and you can control the area size of the attack with the cost of more pp. Their will be the relationship build-up of the main characters as the game progresses, most predominantly btwn Ash and Misty.

The story starts with info on Ash's dad and portrays some mystery in his background. Ash wants to be a pokemon master and ends up late...(follows the Anime pretty accurately)...and gets an ignorant pikachu. Pikachu ends up in a frenzy against spearows when Ash tries to catch a spearow by throwing a rock at it and then trying to catch it himself without his pikachu's help. This is where the ONLY battle between Pikachu and 20 pokemon spearows begin and where pikachu learns Thunder (2x power in this situation-thunderstorm :))! You MUST increase the area range of the newly learned super-Thunder to attack these spearow or you will lose in the beginning of the game!! This is the same time where Ash runs into Misty and yadadada. The difference between this game and the show is that in the game Ash must go on the quest to be a Pokemon Master and their he finds about a mysterious secret about pokemon and their origins and his Dad. He meets other characters not meantioned in the normal show like Yoshi and Brendon to assist him. (You can switch between characters); When you beat the game, you can play the story of Misty and/or Brock for fun. --There's plenty of info I have of this game, which I'll explain if you want my to send you the synopsis in your email, including the new move system with Temp slot 1 and 2 and the spec. slot activation by an equpped item like the surf board (only can be used by Pikachu) to temporarily use Surf over another normal move slot.

WOAH!!! Lot's of writing write, sorry for writing so much but this is the game I'm working on in 3D (Yes I'm making it) but I think i'd be easier if Nintendo-Pokemon company did it themselves. There's too much cliche in the pokemon games, and colosseum was a complete disaster (not much interesting storyline really) And I think Pokemon Xtreme would be a big jump to pokemon in it being a truely inovative adventure pokemon game with a focused, large, and interesting storyline with an inovative battle system (not involving wait-for-selection-then attack style used in the Pokemon games present.)

No prob guys, but about the GBA connection. Wouldn't that be more convinent for co-op. I'm unsure since the display of co-op in Final Fantasy: Crystical Chronicles was rather cool. I'm still learning smmothing 3d character sets and thingamajigars of the 3d game creating software I'm using. No, it's not 3D studio max, and it's rather complicated.

OH! I almost forgot. Have you heart of a program called RPG Maker 2000, and RPG Maker 2003? I'm using it to make a 2d version of Pokemon Xtreme which will allow me to further make the 3D Replica (except for camera angles and etc...). You guys should try it, it's an awesome tool with endless possibilities---I made a 2p system (with co-op) in the program when your not supposed too :) and I created a working custom name system and a character creation system! Go to gamingw.net They have some info on rm2k and rm2k3 and some tutorials on them. Also they have some custom games made by normal people like us. Also check gaminggroundzero.com, it has games for these software. I prefer you download and Play a game called Kindred Saga: Chapter 1 by a guy named Q Heretic, I'm still waiting for chapter 2 of the game!

My games I'm making on the software are: Chronicles of Sorcery and Wizardry, PonXG, USACB, Pokemon Xtreme, Tan-X, Kingdom of Dragons, and also Solar Knights (or SLKnights)

Those sprites of an anime-game of pokemon from the show...are they edits from FireRed/LeafGreen? If so, is their a hack that we can download and patch in FR/LG to play the game with Ash and Misty. Heck, why not just edit those 2 characters u can be in FR/LG and replace them with Ash as the Boy and Misty as the Girl? It would be most realistic since Ash was the main character in the original game (Red, Blue, Yellow, Green for GBX/GBC) and Misty is Ash's closest female friend :)

I think she was just messing around doing some fishing here or there because she felt excluded from her sisters...who were currently at the gym, yet at the same time she was forcefully given the job of a Gym leader because her sisters were like "modeling" and found that Misty only DESERVED the job. Right now, we're discussing Misty's life before Ash.

As for my own theories, fine, fine. But don't say I didn't warn you. Firstly, you have to understand a few things about my shipping beliefs. I'm an Eldershipper and believe Oak to be Ash's daddy.

Anyway, before Delia and Oak got into their own hot n' heavy romance, Delia was married at a youn age to some unknown. She gave birth to three girls, the eldest being Daisy. After a while, when Daisy was 14, she got pregnant and gave birth to a girl by the name of Misty. Delia, who was by now divorced, kicked the three sisters out, and Misty along with them. Daisy, to avoid any nasty questions about fatherhood, raised Misty under the pretense of being her sister. And so, that all worked out, Misty ran off with her younger uncle, so on and so forth. Daisy's squeeze and Misty's dad? Unknown, I'm reviewing characters trying to find similarities between Misty and some older guy.

hahaha, that would be kinda gross if Ash was mistys uncle. :S

I am not sure what happened before she met Ash...Her mum, dad, sisters and misty all lived happily until a tragic day when a Gyarados swallowed her mum and dad whole. Misty didnt remember it because she was only 2 years old at the time and her sisters had to raise her as she had no other relatives. Her sisters took on an "evil stepmother" role, where they bossed around continuously although they still loved her. After one huge fight Misty ran away claiming "I wont be back until I am a water pokemon master! Then ill show you!" She went down to the river to calm her nerves and catch some fish and she reeled in a very fine catch. After one glance at Misty...Ash was hooked!

I actually don't htink her parents are dead O.o...I think that we have never seen into the Waterflower's personal lives, so maybe they do have moms and dads, but they only show the gym.
Take Brock for example, if Ash had never spied on him while he was taking care of his little brothers, then we'd all laugh if someone said that he had a bunch of younger siblings.

Anyways, I think that Misty was being picked on, s'all...I have no clue, which is why I started the discussion! :D

Misty's sisters always treated her as the 'runt' of the family and inferior to them in all ways ,so, Misty got sick of it and left to both get away from them and to prove herself to them.

That, I think is the nice thing about keeping a character's past a secret. We're all free to imagine and theorize what we will about what happened to them long ago, thier parentage, etc. etc.
