Really quick question

I have always wondered what is the best way to train a pokemon. I was wondering, if for example im training a skarmony@careful9 or impish??), and its at lvl 5, how should i train it? If I use exp share and train it to the elite four, doesnt the pokemon lose stats. And would it be better to train a lvl 5 pokemon by it battl9ing a low level pokemon??

The best way to train a Pokemon is to EV (Effort Value) train it as soon as you catch or hatch it. What are EVs? You can find all about this very important thing in the EV guide at the top of this forum.
